A dream for our entire marriage of 35 years, we finally completed a beautiful, warm and welcoming log home in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire. It has been a gratifying labor of love and we are so proud of our accomplishment. We hope you feel as stress free during your stay as we do when we escape from the stressors of daily life.
Susan purchased this house in 2014
Our adult children learned how to ski at ages 4 and 9 at Cannon Mountain and we have been hooked on the area since then. Always knowing we wanted a second home in the area, we looked at many houses and properties and knew right away that this piece of heaven was for us. We finally started to actually build the log shell in January of 2013. Who starts to build in NH in January? Amazingly, it went up pretty quickly and we built it over the next 15 months.
There is something about the beautiful towns of Bethlehem and Littleton and the surrounding area that draws us up north as much as possible. Waking up to the beautiful mountain views and knowing that you can do as much as you want--hiking, swimming, golfing, skiing--or as little--resting, eating, driving around--no pressure. Do what you want. Main Street, Littleton is filled with shop after shop of entertaining shopping experiences. Summer, autumn and winter are wonderlands of activities and experiences. Build your family and friendship memories in a beautiful, peaceful and interesting setting.
We had such a great weekend! The house is gorgeous. It's spotless. The owner is so great to deal with and answered all questions we had. All 9 of us had so much fun. This couldn't have been easier to plan. Thank you so much, Susan.
The entire family had a wonderful time in this beautiful log home with great views of the mountains. There was plenty of room for everyone (10 adults) with all the luxuries of home provided! Great location! We visited during the peak of fall foliage and was not disappointed! The views were breath taking!
In the cabin you will be able to experience a cozy, homey feel with the excitement of a retreat. The condition of the home was beautiful and clean. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who would like to take a break from the everyday and experience fine living. Though the location of the home is quiet, you will be met with a bustling, quaint little town just a few miles down the road. However you decide to spend your time here, you will surely be impressed with the look and feel of this home.
This is a very peaceful location right next door to Mayberry. The spacious layout was very comfortable for the 6 of us. The area has very diverse offerings within a short distance. The peace and quiet on the deck in the evening watching the stars makes the trip. The cabin was clean and comfortable. This was our second stay and would highly recommend to friends.
My family and I rented this house for a weekend wedding We had 8 adults and 3 kids and we all fit perfectly. Very close to town and beautiful views of the mountains. The owner Sue was amazing, always there to answer questions and make sure we where all set. Cannot wait to rent this house again
We had the pleasure of staying in this home for four nights in early August. Our multi-generational "group" consisted of two seniors, three adults, and one toddler and the house was a perfect fit for all.
Sue (the home's owner) was extremely responsive and incredibly helpful; she answered all questions (and there were many!) promptly and thoroughly and provided (without being asked) a very helpful list of things to do in the area (shopping, dining, attractions, etc.).
The home was exactly as advertised and the view from the expansive deck was even more beautiful in person. It is clear that the owners spared little expense when constructing their home; this is evidenced by the high-end composite decking, Pella doors and windows, hardwood floors throughout most of the main floor and loft, geothermal heating and cooling, etc.
We arrived to an immaculately clean house (and we're admittedly very finicky people) and experienced nary an issue during our entire stay.
The house is closer to the town center of Littleton than it is to the town center of Bethlehem (which was more than fine with us) and we enjoyed a leisurely afternoon exploring Littleton's shops and boutiques.
We would (and plan to!) return to this home again and would recommend it to others without hesitation.
