This home has central air, a gas fireplace, an open floor plan with a sunny front-to-back living room leading to an open, large, inviting and comfortable, expansive 16 x 32 rear deck equipped with built-in wrap-around bench seating, charcoal and gas grill, electrical outlets and chaise lounge chairs. The house is filled with quiet, peaceful spaces to curl up with a book or as a perfect starting point to explore the island's beauty and charm.
The fully-equiped, spacious, eat-in kitchen includes a center island with seating for four and a dining area for eight. The backyard includes a glazed, tiled patio with comfortable, outdoor, wicker furniture seating for four. All perfect for outside entertaining and lounging.
Close to everything, but just far enough off the beaten path to enjoy quiet island moments, you're within walking distance to town shopping, grocery and liquor stores, restaurants, bike paths, the harbor, beaches, and just around the corner from the brand new, air-conditioned library. There are so many activities available to enjoy! Learn to sail, windsurf, and kayak. Rent a sailboat, charter a fishing boat, rent kayaks, powerboats, jet-skis, bikes, mopeds, jeeps, convertible cars or fishing boats. Take a tour by bus around the Island; kayak in remote inland waterways; hike in pristine conservation properties; bike the entire island on bike paths; rollerblade on scenic state beach or drive to State Beach, a calm water family beach; South Beach, open ocean with big waves to ride or relax in the clay at the Cliffs Beach in Aquinnah (formerly Gay Head) or check out the sunset at the fishing village of Menemsha or peruse the art galleries in the whaling town of Edgar town and visit Island lighthouses.
Oak Bluffs is the center of action on Martha's Vineyard where there is dancing (several clubs to choose from), fine cuisine and family dining, as well as, the kids' Game Room that's open until midnight or visit the Flying Horses (Carousel) and check out the Jazz Festival, Film Festival, illumination night, fireworks and so much more.
The house is nestled on a quite, serene plot located on seldom traveled dirt road, yet just a short walk around the corner to the new Oak Bluffs Public Library and a longer leisure walk or short bike ride to the active, energetic town of Oak Bluffs. Summer activities include the Tisbury Fair, live music and film festivals, road races, bike trips, boating excursions, swimming and sun bathing on the nearby beaches. Great restaurants, boutique shopping, ice cream shops, a family game room, the Flying Horses Carousel and active night life are all a nice leisurely walk, short bike ride or quick car ride from the house. The Oak Bluffs harbor is a short walk from the house and is adorned with Donovan's Reef (best drinks on the island, worth the wait on line with reggae music), Nancy's Snack Bar, Coup De'Ville's Famous Buffalo Wings, the Sand Bar and Grille with real sand, and many other watering holes. Travel up the street to the Lookout Tavern and have a nice drink or two, good food, catch a game on multiple large screen televisions, or sit on the outside terrace and watch the ferry as it travels along the beautiful ocean views. Give the kids a ride on the Flying Horses carousel. If they snatch the brass ring, they will get a free ride. Go across the street to Giordano's restaurant. Best pizza and family restaurant on the island. Fly kites, play catch, Frisbee or just relax on the beautiful lawn of Ocean Park where the Martha's Vineyard Brass Band performs in the oversized gazebo to the delight of those enjoying the open park and ocean views. Take a walk through the campgrounds and see all the beautiful, colorful gingerbread houses. You may even catch concert at The Tabernacle which is centrally located amongst the gingerbread houses. Head to Edgartown ( 7 mile drive) and visit the art galleries all conveniently located near Main street. Have a delicious meal and drinks at the Seafood Shanty and/or the Atlantic while taking in the ocean views. Further up island is the town of Aquinnah ( 19 miles). Visit the lighthouse and Clay Cliffs. The views are breathtaking!

Travelers are required to pay a 50% deposit when booking dates. Payment may be made with a personal check, money order or bank check. The balance of 50% plus the $180 cleaning fee is due 30 days prior to arrival. If renting more than one week, payment arrangement may be negotiable.
