Born and raised in California but fell in love with Memphis in 2005.

Our home away from home, we enjoy spending our vacation time and many more times throughout the year in Memphis. Dedicated to our property we own, we love the 'Southern Hospitality' we get when we are there and we try to share that when given the chance.
7 miles from the 'hustle and bustle' of downtown Memphis, this townhouse will rejuvenate you for the next day and nights that awaits you. So many attractions are in Memphis, which is driving distance from the townhouse.
My son and I spent a week here recently. We loved having our own bedrooms and that the bedrooms were upstairs with the bathroom. Kitchen was great. Lots of pots and pans and dishes. I made dinner several nights. Having washer/dryer was excellent. Everything worked well and was very clean and tidy when we arrived. Plenty of towels and bedding. TV had enough DISH network channels and DVR to keep us occupied at night. Only thing missing was internet access. We wound up using our phones as hot spots, so we worked around the issue. Street parking is plentiful. Other tenants in the building were quiet and unobtrusive. The location was a bit far from our main area (hanging around Rhodes College and downtown), but there were multiple routes so traffic was avoidable. Overall, we enjoyed our time here.
Overall the stay here was nice. Coming into the area, we were nervous. The area isn't all that eye catching. The house was very clean and furnished nice. The only negative I have was this weird smell that bother my sinus. Besides, I would stay again if we visit
We visited Memphis for the first time to attend the Memphis in May music Festival. It was nice to have a place to stay that was Cozy like home. The house was clean and in good condition. Julia had all of the basic needs covered in case you forgot something. I was told this was not the best area to stay, yet the neighbors were pleasant and the area was quiet. Plenty of off street parking and many stores located nearby. This was the first time I had used a service like this, and I am glad I chose Julia's place. Julia made it easy and convenient! We had asked for a few local favorite eats and she provided us with a list.
Only thing I would recommend ( not related to this property) is to take Mud, Muck, or Rain boots if you visit the festival in MAY :).
I absolutely love this property and the property owner, Ms Julia. This was our 2nd stay at this property and it was just as delightful as the first. Property is clean, well decorated and all of the amenities of home are at your fingertips. Location is in close proximity to all of the main attractions and just far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of home. We had to cut out trip short by one day due to family emergency and Ms. Julia was gracious enough to split the cost with us. Imagine what a pleasant surprise it was when I received the deposit check with a little something extra included. Can't wait until stay #3. So much to see and do in Memphis, I know we'll be coming back real soon. M Houston & Sisters
My family and I had a nice time in Memphis staying at Julia's townhouse.
The townhouse was clean, updated, well organized and warmly stocked for our stay.
The location is about 20 minutes from downtown. Plenty of great cuisine nearby and fast food is readily available.
Julia was very responsive and communicative.
Parking in back can be a little tight in back but the quiet street is a good back up for parking.
We travelled from Canada on vacation and were thankful for this rental! The kitchen and entire home were well stocked. If we had forgot anything I'm sure we could have found it and as we are all employed and cooks we appreciated that the home was stocked with more than just the basic salt and pepper and had decent cookware!
The only issues we ran into were lack of internet (although it was good to disconnect for a little while) and that the hot water tank didn't really hold a lot of hot water. We really had to be aware our hot water usage and schedule our showers!
