This gorgeous ocean front studio offers amazing amenities that will keep you coming year after year. Enjoy stunning views in a relaxed atmosphere that will make you stay forever. The warm breezes at night and shining hot Caribbean sun during the day will enchant you. The studio is located on the first floor of the building complex which is adjacent (walking distance) to El Conquistador Resort. Situated on the northeastern tip of Puerto Rico, 31 miles from San Juan and Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport (SJU), near El Yunque Rain Forest, and the famous Las Croabas and four miles from the stores and attractions of downtown Fajardo. At El Conquistador you can golf, utilized the spa, if you wish, but you are responsible for all fees. If this is not enough, you can take an 8-minute boat ride to Palomino Island, take a ferry ride to or fly to the other adjacent islands (Vieques, St. Thomas, St. Croix, etc). There are plenty of restaurants close by where you can enjoy the great flavors of our Puerto Rican cuisine. Come visit us soon, we can't wait to have you as our guest! Bioluminescent Bay in Las Croabas is within walking distance.
The room includes full kitchen, closet, handicap accesible bathroom and private parking. The complex pool is within 5 feet from the private outside patio. Room includes private bar and stereo system.
We are two brothers who were born and raised in San Juan, currently living in Florida. We are both married with children and proud of owning a little piece of our beloved island of Puerto Rico thanks to our father Jorge Luis.
Jorge Garcia purchased this studio in 2000
This unique condo with a very personal touch is surrounded by amazing views that will take your breath away in a relaxed atmosphere.
Close to a myriad of activities for all tastes.
I attended a conference next to the actual property. To get to the Conquistador there was a gate that the guards "could choose" to let you go through or not.
The property was small indeed and needed some updating. The biggest shocker was NO INTERNET access. My husband and I are both professionals and needed to check work on a daily basis. We had to scramble and use my husband's cell phone service to achieve this.
Although the view is amazing, -I must say the unit is facing the community/ building dumpster as soon as you open your blinds.
On a positive note, The care takers were nice and responded quickly to our questions. The owner is easy to contact. I hope this feedback is helpful. We loved PR and plan on going back.
Nos encanto el apartamento, bien comodo y limpio, y una vista hermos en la mañana, esperamos volver antes de que acabe el año. :))
The condo itself is a little outdated, but it comes with everything you need! The owner emailed great directions/instructions ~3 weeks prior to our trip. The manager contacted us the day before to confirm check-in times. We arrived and everything was ready for us. The parking is covered and guarded. The condo was clean, and had towels and a coffee maker (we're relatively easy to please). There is a nice patio with a small dining set overlooking the marina. There wasn't a beach to walk to, but it was just an easy drive away. We did a mini-boat tour with Kayaking Puerto Rico, located 10-15 minutes away. El Yunque is pretty close for hiking. There is excellent dining in little Las Croabas! We ate at Kasavista & El Pescador, both just walking distance from the condo. Not too much to do in the area at night time other than dinner. The bio bay tours all start right in Las Croabas, if you're interested. We were there on a full-moon night, so we decided to pass. The condo does have a TV with DVD player, which came in handy. Overall, a great place to stay, just needs some updating.
We give this condo two thumbs up. It was a great spring-board for our first-time in PR.
We enjoyed breakfast as well as happy hours on the patio...taking in the ocean views and sound of the surf. We found a place that sold fresh fish and it was nice to cook it in our own condo with our own ocean-side views. As well as great people watching with the delivery trucks and tourists coming and going to the El Conquistador. We did 'snoop' around the El Conquistador. Took the funicular to the top to see how the other half vacationed. We would much rather have our own experience at the Marina Lanais than a sanitized vacation experience of El Conquistador. We felt safe coming and going to Las Croabas for food and people watching. It's busy with 'scene-sters', families and tourists. We did a kayak trip to bio bay, but the moon was too bright. We still enjoyed the 'moon light' kayak through the mangroves. Jorge and his manager were helpful and responsive.
We did rent a car and liked the covered parking with friendly security guys. People and on-line warnings were given on driving in PR, but we found it to be just the opposite...and enjoyed driving on PR more than driving in state-side. Next time we may even rent bicycles to get around the neighborhood. There was a tasty and inexpensive bakery with good coffee on Avenue of the Conquistador. We drove to El Yunque which was maybe an hour. The airport was an hour as well. We also rented kayaks near the Seven Seas beach in the bay. We did walk to the beach. It was a great way to see the neighborhood. It took maybe 20 minutes ambling.
A weeks stay is not nearly enough. I particularly liked being on the first level, overlooking the pool, the ocean and the activity at El Conquistators marina next door. The owner, Jorge, is on top of any concerns that a guest might have and immediately attends to any and all questions. The restaurants (even within walking distance) span the gamut of fast food to GOURMET feasts. El Pescador, Cabizo, and Pasion were 3 of our favorites that were nearby. I hope the next time we come to Farjardo and Jorge's apartment that he could do something about calming the waves so that I could feel more comfortable snorkeling. I brought my equipment but did not use any of it. This is our 3rd visit to Puerto Rico so we had already experienced the bio-bay, El Yunke rainforest etc.. A good time can be had by all ages so don't hesitate coming to Puerto Rico and this first floor condo....
