The attention to detail is what stands out the most to me. This home is so comfortable. My husband and I chose it for the location. The location and the beautiful home surpassed our expectations. Conveniently or inconveniently, "depends on if you ask me or the husband" to Pier One and shopping. 2 or 3 blocks from beach.
Absolutely everything and more, Pacific Grove is a hidden treasure
We loved Pacific Grove!!!! Beautiful weather and so much to do in the area! Carmel wine walk - and Carmel valley were top on the list!
We were 6 women traveling to enjoy the area. This house is well equipped for visitors! Three full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable shared spaces and VERY attentive house manager! We were there during the storm and lost power- but they were very helpful and on top of it. The only reason I'm not giving this a 5 star is that the third bedroom would be great for kids - uncomfortable beds and a bit stuffy for adults. But the other two rooms are beautiful and ample. Everything is quality here - towels, dishes, furniture, information and location.
This house has it all. Comfortable, clean, all your kitchen needs and a convienent location. It is a couple blocks from the beach and just a block from downtown. We had multiple generations and everyone was very comfortable. We enjoyed the patio and hanging around the "tree table". I would recommend this house to anyone that wants to enjoy PG and all it has to offer
3646 Seashore Retreat is a beautiful, comfortable property in a perfect location; walking distance to the beach in one direction and quaint shops/restaurants in the other direction. We held an early Family Thanksgiving here for our family and everything we needed to make a holiday meal was provided. The well-equipped kitchen even had double ovens. The beds were comfortable, the finishes high-end. One really special feature of the property is the large oak tree in the deck; so relaxing to sit outside under the tree, watch the birds play and enjoy a cup of coffee. We will definitely be back; but this time we will bring bikes for the beach-side bike path and we will stay longer! We would highly recommend this property to anyone who loves being near the beach and appreciates all the extra touches the owners have put in this lovely property.

Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Course is the top rated municipal golf in the state with over 70,000 rounds played annually. Enjoy a walking tour of downtown Pacific Grove. The town had its beginning in 1875 as a summer Methodist camp where several hundreds assembled to worship amidst rough tents. Tour brochures are available at the Chamber.
Pacific Grove's Past:
The town had its beginning in 1875 as a summer Methodist camp, where several hundred people assembled to worship amidst rough tents. In time, the fragrant pines and fresh sea air brought others to the Pacific Grove Retreat to rest and meditate. The first camp meeting of the Pacific Coast branch of the Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle was held here in June 1879. Fashioned after the Methodist Sunday school teachers' training camp established in 1874 at Lake Chautauqua, N.Y., this location became part of a nation-wide educational/cultural network.
In November 1879, after the summer campers returned home, Robert Louis Stevenson wandered into the deserted campgrounds: I have never been in any place so dreamlike. Indeed, it was not so much like a deserted town as like a scene upon the stage by daylight, and with no one on the boards -- from 'The Old Pacific Capitol'
By 1889, the resort was incorporated, becoming the City of Pacific Grove. The last P.G. Chautauqua was held in August 1926.
