Welcome to our cozy, peaceful retreat at the Shores of Waikoloa. Unit 108 or ZenBeachCondo as we have recently nicknamed it is located at ground level in the Sandalwood Tower with a wonderful wrap around lanai perfect for sunbathing and curling up with your favorite novel. Here you are surrounded by Areca palms, red Ti leaves, ginger and other tropical foliage that make it private and cozy.
The interior of the condo has been recently remodeled and is modern,clean, tastefully furnished and accented with treasures we have collected on our travels.
This is a great place to relax with all the comforts of home and at the same time feel the tropical beauty of Hawaii.
The remodel includes new floorings throughout, new kitchen appliances, granite counters in kitchen and both bathrooms and a new, oversized walk in shower in the master bath.
The living room offers comfy, tropical furniture, a new flat screen TV for your entertainment needs and of course free high speed internet. In additions there is a blue ray DVD player ready to stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc., and a stereo with CD player and Ipod/ phone dock.
The dining area seats four people and looks out towards Mauna Kea summit. There is additional seating for 2 at the kitchen bar.
The modern kitchen has all new appliances, oven with separate broiler compartment, glass cooktop, all stainless dishwasher, deep double stainless sink, side-by-side fridge/ freezer with ice dispenser and filtered water and a microwave . In addition we offer an electric kettle, drip coffee maker, Bodum coffee press, Mocca stove to espresso maker, teapot, blender, rice cooker, toaster and a full set of dishes, glasses, flatware, pots and pans and other cooking utensils.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a utility closet with a new full size washer/dryer unit for your use.
The large bedroom has a Cal King bed with nice memory foam topper and 100% cotton bedding. You have a dresser with mirror as well as a closet unit with sliding mirror doors and plenty of storage. We provide an electronic safe to store your valuables.
There is a powder room with toilet and sink cabinet near the entry and a master bath with large walk in shower, toilet and a separate mirrored sink area between the Master bath and the bedroom.
The outside Lanai has two chaise lounges for sunbathing and a wicker seating group perfect for enjoying an evening cocktail.
The unit has AC throughout, but often it is not needed, specially in the evening since you get nice breezes that bring the floral smells of tropics into your home.
The Shores is a unique beachside community located between the ocean and 2 Championship golf courses and adjacent to dining and shopping and recreation all within walking distance .Here you are surrounded by mature tropical landscaping, ponds and waterfalls and it is quiet with a low building density.
On property are two tennis courts, a pool, hot tub, 2 barbecue areas( propane ) and a fitness center with up-to-date multi station fitness equipment for your use.
Many dining and shopping options are within walking distance ( or a short drive) at the King's Shops, the Queen's shops, The Hilton Waikoloa, The Waikoloa Mariott. Roy's is our personal favorites.
The Shops at Mauna Lani are about 3 miles away and offer a Tommy Bahamas Restaurant as well as Monstera a great Japanese food venue.

We sailed to Hawaii from the South Pacific in 1991 and the Island welcomed us so much that we are still here today! We love to travel and explore new places preferably from a nice , home-like base. We used our travel experiences to create a welcoming home away from home for you.
We are woodworkers by trade and have included our expertise as well as our love for detail and beauty into our properties.
We love local food and cooking so our kitchen is well equipped.

We have other vacation rental properties in Hawi
( HomeAway #336353 and #346161) on the North end of the Big Island in the county side, but we really do enjoy our time near the beach and we love the apartment at the Sandalwood Tower and the Shores at Waikoloa because it is quiet , peaceful, with beautifully landscaped grounds and within walking distance to the beach and good dining.

The property is very nice, clean and very well equipted also for a long stay.
Waikoloa is a good Location for exploring the surrounding and Shops and Restaurants are nearby.

This is a great property. The owner provides a bunch of beach gear for you to take to the beach (towels, boogie board, snorkel, umbrella, chairs, ice box). The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Wifi is fast and strong. There's netflix if you want to stay in. It's in a good location in Waikoloa with beautiful trees everywhere. There's a pool, hot tub, and bbq within a 1-2 minute walk. Overall, I was very satisfied and would highly recommend staying here.
My husband and I spent 9 days of our Christmas vacation in Zen condo of The Shores condominium. It was a bliss.
First, it's conveniently located to all east coast beaches with the best snorkeling ( we went to Fairmont Orchid's beach 4 times, it's definitely our favorite; Black sand Beach 69, Beach 49 and Mauna Kea Beach, all have decent snorkeling-turtles, big variety of fish- and not crowded) .
Then, I like the kitchen. I had all I need for cooking our breakfasts and dinners. We grabed sushi at The Island Gourmet(Queen Market Place) for launch.They also have not overpriced souveniers and T-shirts there . Had Christmas dinner at The Blue Room Restaurant (Shops at Mauna Lani ). What to say- good bouilabaisse, fish a la provensal, and macadamia nut pie, good wine list, but really bad ambiance made our evening worse then I expect.
At third, condo has very comfortable bed, which is very important for me. Slept like a baby EVERY night.
And at last, condo is a bargain at VERY expensive Waikoloa Beach area and situated in very save and quiet resort. Of course, somebody can say it's at the first floor and you need to live "behind the curtains". Didn't bother us at all, but everybody choose for himself. We really enjoyed our stay, and I am picky.
Also Kerstin was very helpful and nice to us, and replied to our requests immediately even in Christmas time! Thank you, Kerstin, for everything.
I also recommend to take Big Island in one day tour:Volcanoes,Waterfalls, Sightseeing and History (Wasabi Tours) . We did it next day after arrival and it was unforgettable and worth every penny.
Loved our stay in this unit! Very clean and had everything we needed. Super easy to book and questions were answered quickly. A nice location in between the Marriot and Hilton and an easy walk to the beach and shops. Loved happy hour at Lava Lava Beach Club - highly recommend! Would stay here again - lovely time exploring the Island.
This is a very nice place to stay and is in a great location. It has a lovely floor plan, big comfortable bedroom and bathroom. The shower is awesome and the bed is very comfortable. No back ache when I woke up in the morning! Although I didn't use the kitchen a lot it is very nice and plenty of room to do some good cooking. This unit was very quiet and peaceful. Even though this is a ground floor unit I never heard noise above or around me. The landscaping here is very nice and it has some beautiful water features. It has a great pool and even tennis courts which next time I would hope to take advantage of. This unit is within walking distance of everything in the Waikoloa Beach area and there are a lot of things to do here, great beach, golf, restaurants, shops, etc. Best of all the owners are very nice and made every attempt to be sure I had a great stay. They contacted me to be sure everything was OK in the unit and also to inform me about some noisy tree work being done one of the days I was there and what they could do make sure it didn't affect my stay or how they could recompense me for any inconvenience. I highly recommend this unit.
