Beautiful, well-maintained property. Exactly as described. It was our second visit, and we loved it!

Very conveniently located to restaurants, shops, and the beach. Clean, well laid out, with plenty of space. Well stocked kitchen. Lots of privacy. We will be back in the future!

Great location/loved the house

  • 5 of 5

My husband, our 2 children (16 & 8) and my mother-in-law thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is conveniently located to Kennebunkport in a quiet wooded area that was scenic and beautiful. If you are looking for a comfortable, well appointed, stay in the woods, with nature surrounding you, this is the place to stay! The views from the sunroom/den were amazing. The sound of birds each morning greets you. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We stayed 3 nights and used it as our home base to explore the lighthouses in the area and enjoy the nearby beach and quaint town of Kennebunkport. My mother-in-law stayed on the main level bedroom with a great bathroom next to her and the 4 of us were very comfortable in the 2 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. We hope to come back again someday to gorgeous Maine! We highly recommend this property for families or anyone looking to unwind and get away from it all. Thanks Don for sharing your property.

So much fun.

  • 5 of 5

Stayed w/2 girlfriends & we hadn't had a chance to really hang out since the early '90s. Great setup surrounded by beautiful woods and so close to Kennebunkport's Dock Square and the crab shack that I walked home to work off some of how we were eating, & it was great, w/antiquing on the way there from the Square on foot. Easy in easy out by car, isolated w/porch and everything you need to cook lobster. Simply but beautifully decorated interior. The only kitchen/bathroom things missing were coffee filters (but we did have a french press), soap in the showers and toilet paper besides the 1 roll already in each of the 2 bathrooms. The 1 private room/1 bath (just outside the room) downstairs was for the one of us who woke early; two of us were upstairs in 2 separate bedrooms & 1 shared bathroom. Window A/C units in each of the bedrooms - kept each room plenty cool or cold (in my case) to each separate person's liking. Cozy couch/chairs in peaceful sitting room perfect for hanging out in the am. Highly recommend HB Provisions; ALL of their food is fantastic-whoopie pies, breakfast, coffee, ice cream, pie; welcoming proprietor & really wish that place had a Houston equivalent. Highly recommend the Maine Foodie Tour!!! Cannot say enough, GREAT intro to food/beer when you're from away. Great fun to meet others on the tour, too. Crab Shack will always have a line, so don't be intimidated; it moves fast. So worth it, but then we never had a lobster roll any place in HTown could duplicate; Maine's lobster's unbelievably amaaaazing. (On that note, we skipped any "Maine-Mex.") Recommend day trip into Portland (30 min) for Sea Dog Brewery - so many really, really good beers there; sample some 4-oz & find your favorite. Ours was Sunfish Ale. Tastes like a Belgian White. One of the best beers any of us have had. If you're going to do the Marginal Way beach walk on a weekend day, get there **early** so you're not fighting the ridiculous beach crowd all the way in!! We left as they were coming. Also, our walk had been nice & cool but it would've been uncomfortably hot later. Two other must-sees: Portland Head Light; Franciscan Monastery.

In summary, if we'd stayed longer we'd have kayaked & done more day trips, but our trip was sooo fun and relaxing and this house provided a perfect place to come home and chill out/laugh between adventures.

Nice private home with quick access to town

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time during our stay. There were 4 adults & 2 young children & there was plenty of space for us. The property was very private, but it was a quick bike ride into town and to the beach. Our kids loved playing in the large front yard area and we enjoyed spending the nights relaxing on the deck. I would absolutely recommend this property if you're looking for privacy but with easy access to all the amenities the area has to offer.
