Located on a super-wide canal with crystal clear water (you can fish from the dock), you can enjoy a peaceful, spectacular view with your breakfast right from the expansive dock. Relax the morning away here enjoying your morning coffee and seeing the fish jump out of the water. You might even be lucky enough to meet other guests on the dock. Then stroll over to the beach just 3 short blocks away and enjoy what only Miami Beach has to offer.......beautiful and warm turquoise water, wide stretches of warm sand, perfect for curling your toes into and escaping the dreary cold.

4. We use the Homeaway Reservation Manager system. What this means is complete security, safety, and peace of mind for this rental. Only a select few properties on Homeaway use their Reservation Manager system. Since you will pay Homeaway directly, not us, you can be assured of the utmost in security for this transaction. This also legitimizes this rental like nothing else can.

5. To rent this home you simply fill in the form at the upper right and wait for my response which will give you an exact quote. If you want to rent it, simply answer that email from me and say, 'PLEASE SEND ME A PAYMENT LINK'. I will then generate a payment link directly from Homeaway and will send it to you. 25% is required to reserve it, and the balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.

This is a good place to get away to and rest or just go 3 short blocks to the beach and enjoy the beautiful water and beaches that only Miami Beach can offer. Ride the free trolley from 85st to 65 street for dinning, grocery shopping, and shopping.

Nice unit with some pros and cons

My family of 5 stayed 8 nights in the unit. It is quite spacious and comfortable. Very clean, which was greatly appreciated. The walk to the beach was fairly easy, and the beach itself is very nice. The unit was moderately stocked. Plenty of towels and bedding, but the kitchen was short on several things. The outside deck is lovely and Del keeps it very clean as well. But the unit that we stayed in was not adjacent to the deck. Being on the first floor, we felt that we had to keep the shades closed all of the time for privacy. Also, there are walkway lights just outside of the windows which made the rooms uncomfortably bright at night. Del and Carmen were very nice and present on site (they live upstairs). They let us into the unit early on the day we arrived, which was a blessing, as we were all very tried from our red-eye flight. Del clearly take a lot of pride in his house and keeps the grounds nice.

We were very unhappy the first day to discover that there was a tremendous amount of construction noise coming from a large project right next door. I felt that we should have been warned about the construction noise before we arrived. As for location of the property, this is a residential area. The nearby stretch of beach is quiet and much less crowded than other portions both up and down the beach. Shopping and restaurants are beyond what most people consider walking distance. The free trolley stops just across the street, and it does provide fairly easy access to nearby areas.

Overall, the unit and deck are nice and we would consider renting here again... once the construction is complete.

A Pleasant Stay

The property is conveniently located with a bus and free trolley stop just across the street. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the unit and the modern, well equipped kitchen. The beds are small and the blinds/drapes in the master bedroom did not block out as much light as I would have liked.

We experienced problems with the Wi-Fi, but Carmen promptly addressed that issue. The volume control on the remote for the TV in the living room did not work.

Construction is underway on the property that is immediately adjacent to this unit. This will result in a great deal of noise during daylight hours.

Nicely renovated, but not exactly "on the water"

This condo, as shown in the pictures, has been very nicely renovated. The kitchen and baths are beautiful. The location, a few blocks from the beach in the North Beach area, is quiet, yet convenient to South Beach and to Miami itself. The price is very reasonable. Having an included parking spot was very convenient. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans, etc. There are both bath and beach towels provided, and, although we did not use them, there are beach chairs available. We used the included washer/dryer, enabling us to pack lightly and bring only a carry-on for the week. There were, however, a few negatives that keep me from planning on returning in the future. The master bed was extremely hard. Both my husband and I had morning backaches from the bed. There are no rugs or carpets on the floor (previous rugs were, apparently, damaged by sand brought in on the shoes of guests), resulting in an echo in the condo, rendering a 'cold' feeling. While the condo building is on the canal, with a very nice deck available to all overlooking the canal, this specific condo is not itself on the water. It has only 3 windows (1 in the living room, and 1 each in the 2 bedrooms), none of which have any water views. Since the condo is on the ground level, we tended to keep the blinds closed (especially the 2 windows in the bedrooms), blocking most all natural light. I pointed this out to Del, and he indicated that he liked my idea of installing sheer curtains to allow more light while still maintaining privacy. Additionally, there is construction of a 4-story building immediately next door which appears will continue for the next year. After it is completed the guest bedroom window, which now looks right onto the construction, will look right onto the wall of the new building. All these factors meant that the condo itself is not a nice place to 'hang out' to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather (although you can walk the few feet to the deck along the canal, which is nice) and due to the hard bed, is only 'OK' as a place to crash at night.

Good for business travel.

This condo was the cleanest and very nice on the inside. I do not classify this a condo for vacationing. There is a deck - around the front of the building which is shared bythe six apartments - only two are used as "vacation rentals". This unit has the view of a block wall and you are right next to a very busy bridge - felt like we were in a cave. The building is not in a vacation rental area. This is a residential area with ONLY multi unit apartments. The streets are lined with parked cars. There is very little grass which makes it difficult for a dog and I was apprehensive about walking the dog in the dark. The deck around the front it nice, but it is not pet or child friendly. The rail would not be safe for small children - so glad grandsons did not visit. The ocean is only 4 blocks away - but the traffic on the busy streets to reach the beach is also not ideal for small children or dogs. It was actually frightening for adults. There is a trolley to take you down to the restaurants and we did ride it, but did not always feel safe. There are no restaurants close by. You need to drive to most things and traffic is a little crazy. Del and Carmen are very friendly.

Owner's Response: I am happy that you like the cleanliness of the condo. In the last 12 months we had over 200 people disagree with you that this is a vacation condo. The view out the living room window is exactly as seen in the pictures, lush greenery and not a block wall. Yes, out the back bedroom the view is the building next door. The Deck which is 24 by 55 feet long is shared by all 6 condos. As only 2 units are short term rentals they seem to be the only ones that use the deck, so if only 1 unit is rented most of the time you are the only ones on the deck. In your case for your 2 week stay you never mentioned any concerns to us. Yes #3 was rented the whole month and that couple did use the deck.. Our island which is within the island of Miami Beach is made up of apartment buildings , single family homes and condo buildings as this is what the city of Miami Beach is. All the homes on this particular island water start just below 1,000,000 dollars. It is a city that can swell to over 1,000,000 people in season and is 8 miles long and 1 mile wide. There is no noise inside the building from the street as it is cement block walls and impact windows. 85th Street is busy at 8:20 to 8:30 in the morning for the residents leaving to go to work but other than that not busy at all. If you read the reviews you will find many that have enjoyed the serene setting on the deck.We love pets so we go out of our way to allow pets as most vacation rentals do not allow pets. Again this is a city and not a rural community. You had grass across the street, a dog park just 3 short blocks away and 2 more parks 1 on Crespi, right down the block and 1 on 85 street right down the block. Both parks you would not have to cross any streets. As for crossing the streets all the streets to the Beach have a crossing light and is just a push on the button and wait for the walk light as in any city. The city is very safe throughout. We live here and feel very safe as for the 24 years on Miami Beach we have had no problems. As for the deck railing we expect parents to be parents and have never had a problem with a pet or child and the railing. Restaurants are 10 blocks away, walk to or take the free trolley but both are fun and safe. Yes, a car is nice to have as in the Miami Dade county there is much to see and do.
