Newly furnished tri-level 3 bedrooms townhome with en suite baths for maximum privacy. First floor has living room, dining, kitchen area and half bath, with a large patio facing the crystal clear waters of the Bahamas. Second floor has two bedrooms, one with two twin beds and the other with a full bed and great closet/storage space. One of the bedrooms has a patio with gorgeous views of the sea. The third floor contains the master bedroom with a king bed. Home has washer/dryer. We provide bath towels, beach towels, beach umbrella and some pool toys for your convenience.
Our townhouse is located in a quiet, gated community with many long-term residents. The community has two pools, a dock and a beautiful beach right next door, that is often uncrowded and very tranquil with crystal clear waters. One can snorkel near the dock or on the beach. There is beautiful landscaping and tropical trees and flowers are right outside the front door.
One can take a Jitney (local bus) for $1.25 a person or rent a car from the house manager. We are within driving distance to grocery stores, the famous Cable beach, the 'fish fry' with a row of restaurants serving local food and Atlantis/Paradise Island. Our view, community and location are unbeatable!
My family resides in New Jersey and I grew up in Nassau. It's wonderful to finally have a home in Nassau, a place that has so many childhood memories for me.
Milly Lee purchased this townhome in 2014
Nassau is a special place. I grew up here and the people are very friendly, polite and have a unique spirit. It's one of the most beautiful places I have been to with its crystal clear waters and an abundance of sea life.
Our home has a beautiful calming sea view with an endless horizon that one can be seen almost anywhere in the home, including two of the three bedrooms. We have tried to make the home as convenient and comfortable as possible for your stay.
The property was beautifully located, with a 180 view of the ocean, beach access and pool access. The community was quiet and gated. Right outside the gates was a nice restaurant called the poop deck where we had the best conch chowder on the island. You can stop by for good drinks, food, desert etc. A downside to the pool on the property is the fact that it is not a heated pool. In the middle of December, the island is windy and the pool is freezing. As far as the house goes, there are 3 floors , 4 beds. Top floor has a king and a bathroom, 2nd floor has a queen and it's own bathroom, another room with 2 twin beds and a bathroom. First floor has the kitchen, living room, patio with ocean view, a washer and dryers and a half bath. I loved the fact that there are enough bathrooms for everyone. The kitchen definitely could use an update, stainless steel appliances would make the place more attractive, the couch in the living room has done it's time. I refused to sit on the couch and be near those pillows. We used bed sheets to cover the couch. Toilet tissue is a necessity, not an amenity, and for all women a few rolls will not last more than 3 days. Barbara the property manager brought us a couple rolls. Speaking of Barbara, she's not the most friendly. I get the sense that she is grouchy. Milly the property owner is very nice and easily contacted. She allowed us to come before check in and leave our stuff. Even though the house was still not ready at check in. And she also allowed us to stay a hour past check out. We appreciated that. For the price the house is definitely worth every penny. It's walking distance to restaurants (twisted lime- on the water, nice atmosphere, food is pricey and ok, over cooked conch). The jitney which is $1.25 runs up to 7pm and it's a few minutes to Wendy's, grocery store, Starbucks, Dairy Queen, dominoes, KFC, other resorts. About 10,15 minutes ride
To the fish fry (lots of restaurants like twin brothers, and awesome food) and 30 minutes ride downtown to view the city. When the jitney stops cab rides are very costly, $25 to the fish fry, $40 to Atlantis and downtown.
We all loved the property! We had lots of options for entertainment. Oceanside had great views. We had the beach which was beautiful. Soft sand. The pools had great views.
The house was very nice with lots of space for 6. We had 4 bathrooms which made getting ready for outings. quick. The caretaker Barbara was wonderful with pickups at the airport. Location was good with short drive to other beaches. Easy drive to downtown. I would highly recommend this property to travelers
This townhouse was great! Clean, had all the essentials, towels (in closet behind door in twin beds bedroom😉) pots & pans, dishes etc. All you need is groceries! Very nice grounds with 2 pools & a dock to snorkel from. Easy access to #10 bus to take you wherever. Highly recommend! Thanks Milly! Great place!
My family and I stayed for 8 nights and 9 days at Milly's townhouse. Not only was it well taken care of, but the ocean views were breathtaking! There were 7 of us and we were very comfortable! Barbara, Milly's property manager was not only attentive to our every need, but a lovely person! We felt very welcome and taken care of! Delaporte is a gated community. Very safe and well maintained. We had a beautiful private beach all to ourselfs! Everything was perfect! We only lost power for a couple hours one day, which I hear was very lucky! Yay!!! Shopping, grocery and activities are very expensive, so come prepared to cook most days. I would definitely recommend this town home to anyone looking for a fabulous vacation in the Bahamas! We definitely want to come back some time!
We were walking distance to our venue at the Poop Deck at Sandy Port so it made the logistics for getting materials and people to our wedding/reception site simple. That said, even if we didn't have an event at the Poop Deck location, this townhouse was perfect for our family needs in the Bahamas. Beautiful views, convenient beach access adequate towels for showers and beach visits, helpful information provided for where things were in the Bahamas and how to get there! Milly's caretaker (Barbara) was sometimes hard to get ahold of but also wasn't "hanging around" the house either; she was helpful when we needed it and let us enjoy our time in paradise!
We were disappointed with the debris (plastic buckets, trash, maybe from cruise ships) brought by the tide into the beach access area, but that was no fault of our homeowner, but they should mention it to the maintenance staff at the Delaporte Pointe Condos. We had a specific need for a full length mirror (daughter in the wedding dress) so that and a decent iron would have helped us. Milly should work with Anne Marie at Weddings in the Bahamas to let others planning events at the Poop Deck at Sandyport know how convenient her townhouse is to that location!
Bottom line: we'd go back tomorrow...better than any hotel room and the price was very reasonable!
Overall, the house was perfect for 2 families each with a toddler. Great space and layout for everyone. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking all our breakfasts and some dinners. The rooms were comfy and roomy, with awesome views of the sea from the 2nd floor. The closets were also stocked with beach towels and there is a washer/dryer!
We took a taxi (~7 min ride from airport and $30) to the house and met Barbara to get the house keys and her car rental. Super cute location and away from all the hubbub of Downtown Nassau but ~10 minute car ride from Compass Point, Love Beach, and Goodfellow Farms.
Property is as described with some general wear and tear, would have preferred clean bath mats and the dishwasher had a leak on our first use but we'd definitely come back to stay again! :)
Milly was super helpful and answered all the questions we had even prior to booking, and prior to our arrival. We had a wonderful trip - Thank you!!
