If you are looking for a relaxing vacation in Manitou Springs, you will love this beautiful renovated Victorian house only a few steps to the COG Railway and the infamous Incline. The upgrades and the tasteful interior design give this home a very unique character and charm which stands out from the rest.

The house offers three big bedrooms, a family room with a Murphy bed, a living room and a formal dining room; all with lots of natural lights. The kitchen is a Chef's dream - with modern amenities, which include maple cabinets, stainless steel LG appliances, granite counters and two islands for social gathering. The house features a front load washer and dryer, wireless internet, cable TV, flat screen TV, DVD players and plenty of games and art supplies to entertain your children.

You will love sitting on the front covered porch, drinking your morning coffee and watching the hikers as they make their way to the top of the Incline or sipping an evening drink listening to the sounds of the nearby creek.

This is the perfect house for 8 adults or a family wanting to be close to the outdoor activities and within walking distance to the shops and dining in Downtown Manitou Springs. You will appreciate the four dedicated parking spaces on the property and the free bus shuttle stop across the street during the high season.

About Suzanne

After 27 years in the Canadian Army, 3 tours in Afghanistan and Croatia and a 3 year at Peterson AFB working for NORAD, it was time to slow down and enjoy life and what Colorado has to offer. Could not think of a better place than Manitou Springs with all the fantastic outdoor venues as well as this historic boarding house that has been an exciting and artistic project to restore in the last 3 years.

Suzanne purchased this house in 2011

Why Suzanne chose Colorado Springs

Yes! Like many others, I fell in love with Manitou Springs. I feel incredibly fortunate to have created a mountain heaven that allows me to indulge in all the activities I enjoy on a regular basis, including hiking up the Incline or Barr Trail, mountain biking at Red Rock Canyon, cycling loops around the Garden of the Gods or taking a stroll in downtown Manitou Springs and enjoying the art community and the great food of our local restaurants.

What makes this house unique

The house is the best place for people watching as hikers and runners make their way up Pikes Peak and the Incline. It is also the ideal place if you want to hike up the many trails around the house, take the COG train to the top of Pikes Peak or avoid the traffic and take the free shuttle to downtown Manitou and enjoy the various eateries and shops.

Fabulous house and Suzanne was super helpful.

My son was married in Colorado Springs on Sept. 24 and we stayed at Suzanne's house during the wedding festivities. It is a wonderful, well maintained home. We loved the side terrace and sat out there enjoying beautiful Manitou with our morning coffee and our evening beverages. We appreciated the coffee and coffee makers and all the attention to detail. It really was the perfect place for our family during this happy time. Thank you Suzanne!

Beautiful Home with all the Comforts you Want

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved renting this home for our spring break. The house is comfortable, in a great location, and has all the amenities that we would need and want. The owner was fabulous and even met us upon arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. We rent houses for vacations several times a year and this house by far exceeded our expectations as a rental. The furniture is nice and comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. I always bring a bag of "extras" like dishwasher detergent, good toilet paper, paper towels, chlorox wipes, etc. and for once I took it all home with me. This home is the perfect rental home for a Colorado vacation.

A beautiful house, in a beautiful and convenient setting

  • 5 of 5

The house was a perfect base for our family holiday, being a group of 8 ranging from 13 years to 71 years there was plenty of space for all. We had fun watching all the Pikes Peak marathon runners which ran right past the house. The house has great coffee making facilities which were much admired by our teenage children! and great laundry area much appreciated by myself! All the beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed being able to sit outside on the terraces and veranda.

It was easy to visit all the attractions in the area and great that we could walk to Manitou Springs giving the older kids a bit of independence. Unfortunately the incline was closed the day after we arrived but the eldest of our group still managed to complete the incline giving themselves a great feeling of achievement! The kids also spent half a day on the zip line tour which was not far away and easy to book online. Suzanne was a pleasure to deal with and it was great to be able to meet her. I would definitely recommend the property . Thank you Suzanne for sharing your beautiful house.

My favorite place to stay when I visit the area!

  • 5 of 5

Suzanne's property is perfect for my family when we come out to visit my two cadets at the Air Force Academy. It is a Godsend to us because it provides the perfect location for peaceful rest and adventure at a moments notice, which is exactly what cadets require! The comfort, amenities and small touches far surpass any other location I have ever stayed, and is why I make repeat visits to this particular house. The soap, shampoo, espresso machine, decorations, even the exterior which has a flower garden and a cute stone patio with mushroom table and chairs, stairs with mosaics and little whimsical embellishments on both sides of the house, etc. Thats what you get when you stay here! It feels like home, which is what I want when I visit my boys. It is the perfect location to walk outside and take the incline, which they do at least three times each visit. The parking is key as well. I imagine many jealous drivers coming up that hill wishing they had that parking! Manitou Springs is quaint and lovely and is the perfect location with so many things to see. I have already reserved my next four visits in this wonderful property. I'm already anticipating my next visit and can't wait to come back! Suzanne's communication and property rocks - you won't be disappointed!

The house was perfect for 5 women for a week. Plenty of room for all. A perfect location---close to downtown, COG rail up to Pikes Peak and the Incline. Spend many hours on the front porch. The house and kitchen were stocked------more complete than any VRBO I've ever stayed at.

Great home for our stay near Colorado Springs

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I with my daughters family of 5 booked this home to stay during our time near Colorado Springs for a family wedding in Woodland Park and to do some site seeing during our stay. We loved the house and Suzanne met us that afternoon we checked in and she made us feel very welcomed!! It was very clean and the most well equipped home we have stayed in!!! Parking was also a plus, enough for 4 cars. We would recommend this home anytime and will gladly stay again. Thanks so much for a pleasant stay!!
