Jo's place was exactly what we signed up for! Very close to town, but far enough away to be nice and quiet. The cabin is tastefully updated, no neighbors in sight, just perfect. We will definitely be back!
It was a pleasant stay. Enjoyed having my own place verses staying in a hotel. We had 6 people and we're comfortable. 2 full baths one bedroom with bunks and a pull out sofa. Peaceful setting with wildlife and running streams outside. Only 5-10 minutes from ouray. I'll be back again. Thanks Jo for the cabin!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is close to the city without being IN Ouray. We cooked every night in the kitchen- all appliances worked well. The beds were all comfy. Everything is as stated in the ad, only better. When we visit Ouray again, we will stay here!
I was busy from 8 to 5 every day that I was in Ouray, and this cabin was the perfect place to retire to every evening. We were able to cook all of our own food in a very well equipped kitchen, have evening cocktails on the deck with a lovely view of the mountains, and get a good night's sleep in a comfy bed in quiet surroundings. It was just what we needed as our home-away-from-home.
Absolutely loved the cabin. Impressive workmanship throughout. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. Just minutes from Ouray and the hot springs, and a great starting point if you want to tour the San Juan Skyway.
We can confirm what other reviews have written already. It is as nice as described and even nicer and prettier than the pictures let expect. Also it is very clean. There is really nothing to complain. ... If there wasn't that topic above this ad: "Feel of Seclusion But Close..." Yes, the cabin is in the woods, surrounded by a creek with a great view of the mountains in the west ... But no, it is not secluded! Depending on the direction the wind is blowing from you more or less hear the noise from highway 550. It's not very loud and when you are inside and have doors and windows closed you hear nothing. But when on the porch ... there is the highway noise which always reminds you: This is not a secluded place. I still believe this is one of the best places to choose when you want to be away from it all and still enjoy all comforts. But: This topic is not correct.
