Year round playground, spring, summer, fall and winter.
My family has stayed here 3 times the last 2 years. We went in the winter for snowmobiling, and it was great! It has plenty of room for the 8 of us. The place is clean, cozy, in a great location and Mark, the owner is very easy to work with.
This was our 3'rd year of family ice fishing camp. As usual, we found the cottage clean and well appointed with plenty of space for our group. We caught lots of fish, ate too much food, and had a really relaxing weekend. We love this place!
My wife, 3 kids and dogs just spent the past four days here. The cabin was very comfortable, clean and had a great private setting on the lake. Mark was great to work with and made us feel right at home. We ate dinner two of the nights right down the road at Ed's Hideaway bar. Really an awesome off the beaten path pad!
I'm from MI but have been living in SoCal for many years & I ended up being the one in charge to find a rental , so myself,my mom, brother & his wife plus 2 dogs could go up north for a long weekend during my recent visit :) Well I ended up picking the perfect place ! The cottage is cute & clean and the owner was great as I hadn't been up north in decades and had a lot of questions,) But the lake , the lake is what I'll never forget !! It was so clean & like glass that the clouds reflected in the water :) It was breathtaking! We brought 2 kayaks & used the canoe & it was the perfect lake to do that on ! We had bonfires every night & grilled our dinner to eat outside on the picnic table overlooking the lake . I hope to go back here again ! One tip , try to bring everything you might need with you as there's a cute lil store about 2 miles away that made me feel like I went back in time , they happened to have 1 of everything I needed :) But you'd probably spend an hr & a half going to the closest large grocery store. This lake is a hidden gem in Michigan:)
Cute cottage and great lake! We really enjoyed the canoe, the firepit and the stars at night were beautiful! We had a great time and plenty of room for the family. The dogs had fun too!
This was our first time renting a house on Homeaway and we couldn't be more happy. The place was exactly as described and comfortably fit the 8 of us. We spent majority of our time out by the lake during the day and by the fire pit at night. The water was warm enough to swim in it even if it was somewhat chilly out. Fishing was great; we caught about 10 fish and although they weren't too big and we had to let them go, it was still very satisfying. The canoe was great. No one had ever been on a canoe so that was a great experience for all of us. One of the days it rained for a bit so we stayed in and played board games and started the 1,000 piece puzzle. Anyways, we're all hoping to come back next year.
Jordan river valley, deadmans hills and federal fish hatchery are not to miss.
