About Diana Collier

We lived in our home for twelve years, raised my son there. Many parties and good times shared, the best memories ever were shared here in our home and on the river. My son has moved away and is attending college at FSU, and I have moved to South Pasadena to help my mom,she has renal failure in her kidneys, I am a donor match and look forward to the day she is back to great health. Love is why we're here. So very blessed to have her and want her for many more years.

Diana Collier purchased this house in 2003

Why Diana Collier chose North Central Florida

Our property is located in the KP Hole Subdivision, it is only shared with a handful of property owners. When I first went tubing on the river many years ago, I remember saying to myself if I could live anywhere in the world I would live there. Never left my mind to do just that. As soon as I was able to buy a house for the first time. I went there to look, I fell in love with it as soon as I seen it. House is built with love and you feel love when you're in it. I love being able to share it with others. Memories and love our forever.

Amazing. Unforgettable. Memorable.

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time I have ever been to Dunnellon, FL. I saw pictures of the Rainbow River on the Internet and was not disappointed one bit when I ventured out on the River...the photos were not deceiving whatsoever (other then the variety of waterfalls you can see at Rainbow River State Park). It is one of the most beautiful places in Florida I have ever been! The water is crystal clear and I had the opportunity to enjoy the gorgeous scenery and wildlife (birds, turtles, alligators, otters). I thank Diana for opening up her home to be able to have a memorable and short-lived get away. Diana was extremely accommodating and always provided a kind and timely response whenever needed. Although I was initially disappointed that the location of the home wasn't exactly on the River, it no longer seemed to be of importance after arrival. Diana's home is on a cozy road surrounded by trees and most importantly, clean (to my standards and one would say I'm a bit OCD). The location was absolutely perfect as it was approximately one minute walking distance from KP Hole where we were able to use the ramp for our kayaks (free of charge for being a guest in her home!!). The bank, stores, restaurants, and Rainbow State Park were all within reasonable driving distance from her home. Dunnellon appears to be a smaller town with not much to do, but if you're visiting for a peaceful get away to be able to kayak, fish, hike, or even float down the river in a tube, it is THE PERFECT spot to go. I highly recommend a trip here. I wish my stay could've been longer. Even though this was my first time here, it definitely will NOT be my last. I anxiously await the next time I can make a trip back. I would not hesitate to make reservations with Diana to stay at her home again- The entire experience from beginning to end was positive. Thanks again Diana!

Cute, clean house.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in Dunnellon. Our family has traveled quite a bit (Puerto Rico, Hawaii, NY, all over the Southeast). We've tent camped, RV camped, stayed in hotels, and rented vacation homes. Generally, in the vacation homes we've rented (even in the supposedly luxury ones) there is leftover food in the refrigerator, hair in the bathroom or bed, and usually these places have only had a cursory cleaning.

However, don't let the price fool you on this house. When we arrived the walk and screened porch had been recently swept, the refrigerator was spotless, all the pillows (under the pillow cases) were clean, baseboards were clean. All in all the whole house was very neat and clean. Don't get me wrong, it is an older home and the flooring, ceilings, and trim are not necessarily new, but all the kitchen appliances have been updated and the bathroom is fairly large for such a small home. The yard is huge and flat and totally fenced in. The home has an updated security system as well.

It is apparent that the owner was working on renovating the home and then stopped midway. But, she is very easy to work with and answered all our questions promptly.

The location of this property is great. Within a few miles, there is a Winn-Dixie, a Wal-Mart, and a local fresh farm stand. It is on a very quiet street (for the springtime anyway), right next door to KP Hole. This is a small town and everyone was exceptionally nice and helpful.

The river and springs are absolutely beautiful. We used the owner's kayaks to explore the river. Just beware you will need a truck to transport the kayaks. The two person kayak is HEAVY! I was worried about paddling upstream (with three kids along) because of the current. We are in N. GA and rivers run fairly fast here. But, this river slow and the upstream paddle was easy. A float in tubes would be a long, slow float. If you go just up the road to the spring head and Rainbow Springs State Park, bring towels and a blanket or folding chairs to sit on. We overheard some locals mentioning while we were there that all of the picnic tables had been removed. There are a couple of pavilions with tables nearby, but they were being used when we were there.
