Beautiful cottage just right for my family! I love the location, size and atmosphere of the cottage. It was the perfect fit for my kids. They especially enjoyed all of the sandbox toys.

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second trip to Savannah Sands and we liked it just as much as the first. The owners have done a great job of creating a clean, inviting, and comfortable space that has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. We love that the property is dog friendly and that the kitchen is fully outfitted to cook if you feel like it. We also used the backyard fire pit and grill and enjoyed lounging on both porches. Hopefully we'll be back soon!

We love this place! Quaint Cottage, beautiful beach.

  • 4 of 5

This was our second time at the Cottage and we like it so much we are already working on getting it for next year. The area has one of the best beaches in the State, we have always preferred this area and now we have a favorite place to stay. There are so many things to do, this year we ventured a little bit north for and found Lewis Farms. They have a petting zoo and other activities that our six year old Granddaughter just loved. The first night we were there we enjoyed watching a movie on the beach. Good times!

Great place for the price!

If we'd had better weather for our trip, this cottage would have been perfect--getting us close to the shoreline and state parks we had hoped to enjoy. Perfect size for a small family like ours, and great to be able to bring our dog!

Great Location

  • 4 of 5

The perfect spot for a family beach getaway. We loved this cottage, which was accurately pictured and described. Had a great "beachy" vibe. It wasn't fancy or upscale, but that wasn't our expectation. We especially liked the porch, from which you can see the lake. And the short walk to the beach (about 1 minute). We spent a lot of time swimming, walking, going out to the lighthouse. Walked to a great restaurant, Dockers, for meals on the deck overlooking the marina. It has pretty much everything you need if you want to cook in, although it would have been nice to have some sharp knives. We grilled one night, and only one of the burners lit. There was also no grill brush, and it was pretty grungy. The bathroom was small, but nice. Not a lot of hot water, though. There were four of us, and the last person to take a shower had to take a cold one. The only other thing that wasn't great was the TV. There was a problem with the cable and many of the basic channels wouldn't work. The air conditioning worked great, which was nice because it was very hot while we were there. Small touches were nice: games and puzzles to play, stuff to read, chairs and sand toys for the beach. We would definitely stay again!

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed! I am not sure why the hot water did not last; we have a standard sized water heater. We did have a grill brush at the beginning of the season-we will purchase another one and a new knife or two that will be sharp (this is one of pet peeves too!). The cable tv available is just basic cable. Thank you for your comments.
