My mother and I just bought this cottage in May 2014 as an investment in my daughter's future. In her honor, we named our new cottage Savannah Sands!
Tara Merlo purchased this cottage in 2014
Adorable, affordable, off the road and quiet—but still right on the beach! A true get away. Perfect for families, couples, or friends.
Located in historic art colony Bluffton, whose most famous resident was Buster Keaton! Beach in the summer, luge in the winter! Close by Latitudes sells craft beer mix and match by the 6 pack, Habs has bbq more dine-in, pickup, or delivery!
Love the location. Cottage is well taken care of. Much better than a room in a hotel for more money. Would stay here again.
Not a complaint but,
Would of liked a little history on the cottage and a list of available channels. Spent to much time selecting a channel that was not available.
We thoroughly enjoyed are stay for the weekend and would love to stay at this residence again.
Beautiful cottage just right for my family! I love the location, size and atmosphere of the cottage. It was the perfect fit for my kids. They especially enjoyed all of the sandbox toys.
This was our second trip to Savannah Sands and we liked it just as much as the first. The owners have done a great job of creating a clean, inviting, and comfortable space that has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. We love that the property is dog friendly and that the kitchen is fully outfitted to cook if you feel like it. We also used the backyard fire pit and grill and enjoyed lounging on both porches. Hopefully we'll be back soon!
This was our second time at the Cottage and we like it so much we are already working on getting it for next year. The area has one of the best beaches in the State, we have always preferred this area and now we have a favorite place to stay. There are so many things to do, this year we ventured a little bit north for and found Lewis Farms. They have a petting zoo and other activities that our six year old Granddaughter just loved. The first night we were there we enjoyed watching a movie on the beach. Good times!
If we'd had better weather for our trip, this cottage would have been perfect--getting us close to the shoreline and state parks we had hoped to enjoy. Perfect size for a small family like ours, and great to be able to bring our dog!
We are located just down the street from USS Silversides Submarine Memorial where you can tour the sub. Nearby are two marinas (walking distance) and kayak rentals. We are also located 20 minutes from Michigan Adventure Amusement and Water Park, and 45 minutes drive from dune buggy rentals.
