I am a local artist who grew up nearby LAX, with a passion for Art,Food, and Travel.
Lisa purchased this studio in 2006
The close proximity to LAX,Play Vista,Downtown Culver City, and Venice make this Westside location ideal for those attending Antioch, working at Google or YouTube,or waiting for their Playa Vista Condo to be completed or simply traveling and wanting to be near Beaches at a reasonable rate.
Large open space to work on a project, also Location location!
I stayed in the area to attend a conference at a venue that was just two blocks away from this apartment. A free Playa Vista shuttle was within 3 blocks, and the Westfield Culver City mall is also within a ~5 minute drive, both of which were very convenient. The apartment itself was comfortable, although it felt a little awkward to have the door to the outside immediately beside the bed. I'm not sure where else you'd put it, though, and I got used to it well enough after a couple of days. If I find myself back in the area in the future, I'll try to book this place again.
I flew into town for a family emergency. I had a family member in the hospital nearby and was spending a fortune on hotels. Lisa was AMAZING! So easy to work with and responded right away to my questions. She does have a nicer unit next door that you might want to ask about. For the Artist space ask about parking in the alley. Makes accessing the unit so much easier. My only complaints were that the sheets were pilling and rough (I never mentioned this to her) and there was an odor of cat urine that was fixed by some Febreeze. I could see that she tried to address this issue but sadly that is a hard smell to get out.
Can't go wrong for the price!
Very good place, near freeways and avenues that cross Culver city. The place it's simple, but it's very cozy. The home has a bicicle. There is a garage that was transformed in a kitchen/room that is very nice.
I needed reasonable accommodations close to Venice Beach at the last minute without paying an arm and a leg and found this Creative and Fun Living Space in Culver City. This property owner came to the rescue. Responses were friendly, helpful and timely. Key arrangements were made with ease. The place was exactly as pictured. Neighborhood was nice and most importantly was within skating distance to Venice Beach. Would definitely stay again!
We stayed 4 people in this garage turned into an apartment for 16 days.. The place was clean and exactly as described in the ad, so if you
don´t require luxury accomodation but need a safe and practical place to stay while you explore LA, I fully recommend this apartment. The hostess was very helpful and easy to deal with. Our traveling party were very happy and satisfied with price, neighborhood and had a great time!
