This beautiful two-story home has 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The residence has been updated with all of today's modern conveniences- Central Air, high-speed Internet, Wi-Fi, an HD flat screen Internet TV with HD cable channels, and a DVD player. The home sleeps 12 people.

The patio in the backyard has a cover for shade. The property is fully fenced in for your pets pleasure.Enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon beverages sitting out on the front porch rocking and enjoying the gulf breezes. Enjoy BBQing on the back patio on a charcoal grill.

Much of the home's original wood walls, wood flooring, and 10 ft ceilings are still present throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare all your meals including a large microwave. For your convenience, all cooking utensils, dishes, a full sized refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, a blender, and more are provided.

$70 pet fee for house trained or kenneled pets.

To reserve the home,the refundable deposit is required at booking. The remainder is due two weeks prior to arrival.

You must be at least 25 years old to rent this home.

Check in is 4pm, Check out is 11am

Please note, out of consideration for our neighbors, we cannot permit prom, spring break or graduation parties.

During Hurricane Season, refunds are only granted if there is a hurricane of a category 1 or higher in the Gulf of Mexico headed to Galveston.

We do not advertise on Craigslist or Tansler! We also do not accept cashiers checks or personal checks.

We had agreat time the house was very nice. We had enough space for all of my family.

Galveston was wonderful because the beach was two blocks from the house. The family was able to walk to the beach each day. The house stayed cool even with 100 degree temperature outside. There was enough space and bathrooms to accommodate my family. We will be coming there again. Thanks for the experience and the use of your home.

The Perfect Beach House!

Every year my brother and I get our families together and spend some time at the beach. We have been renting houses/condos from Home Away for the past 7 years and this is the first time we've truly loved the property we chose. This house is beyond adorable; the decor is completely on point, and the beds are comfy. We had three full families staying this year and the house was big enough for all of us and we didn't feel cramped. There was a small issue with the AC unit, but the owner, Kyle, was extremely responsive and showed up himself to ensure that everything was fixed appropriately. It's apparent that he values his customers as much as the houses he tastefully decorates. There are a few quirks with this house, but they should be expected with a 90 year old home. For example, the bathrooms are pretty small, but that's how they made them back then. Also, the upstairs loft area has some tricky stairs/railing, which was not ideal when we had 5 kids all under the age of 7. The rugs in the bedrooms could stand a good cleaning, but it's almost impossible to keep those things clean with folks dragging sand into the house everyday. The kitchen is somewhat small and gets pretty hot, and was lacking some tupperware, but we left some behind for the next guests. However, the kitchen was very well equipped. The cookware was very nice and the blender was great for making margaritas! Also, there was enough room in the driveway for us to park three vehicles and lock the gate, which was a nice feature of the property. Another awesome feature of this house is the laundry room--full size washer and dryer makes keeping up with kids much easier and the extra fridge in the laundry room is perfect for large groups. Also, if you have an Amazon FireStick or similar, you can bring it as the TV/entertainment center can support that technology.

If you're there on a Sunday, make sure you walk two blocks West to see the fireworks show (yes, you are close enough to walk to the beach!). You are also close to the Kroger, the Rain Forest Cafe, and a bunch of other activities/restaurants/amenities in the area.

As my family will attest (you can also check my past HomeAway reviews), I am the pickiest reviewer there is, and I was beyond impressed with this house :) Thanks for a great week Kyle!

Beautiful home, quiet neighborhood, easy walk to seawall/beach

Two family vacation w/3 adults and 4 kids - home was perfect for adults and children alike. A spacious older home, it has soaring ceilings, beautifully worn wood floors, 1940s-style trim, and so on. Upstairs is a great(!!) loft for kids with a large bed, bunk, and half bath. Downstairs master bedroom was large with its own shower, and then a jack and jill set up for the other two bedrooms. All bedrooms are very large, perfect for a few moments of silence. Landscaping is even more lovely than the photos show. This is the type of home you can enjoy spending time in instead of wanting to go do stuff all day just to get out of the house. Beds were comfortable!! That is a super plus since so many rentals have worn out mattresses. EASY walk to the beach. No way it was more than 5 blocks to the seawall, though it is difficult to jay-walk across Seawall Blvd, so please go to the light a couple blocks up.

There were only a couple negatives to this home. The AC is dated, and like my own large old home & dated AC unit, it struggles to cool the house even when following suggested parameters. There are ceiling fans in every room that run on turbo speed to make up for this. There are a few breakables throughout the home, so beware for younger, rowdy kids.

Lovely home with everything you need!

There were 10 adults in our group. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. We could walk to beach and were close to anything else we wanted to do. The owner, Ryan, was great to work with. This house is perfect for families, girls trips, and planning retreats like ours.
