|Minimum Stay||27 nights|
This unique home has all the charm of a historic Conch home, yet it was built just a few years ago, and with all the modern conveniences you could want. The attention to detail is apparent throughout. All of the furnishings are new, and every room has been decorated with care.
***This home is available for lease by the month, in accordance with local ordinances strictly enforced by the City of Key West. The minimum lease is for 27 nights in February and for 29 nights during any other period.
All of this charm and comfort is located at the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac in the middle of Old Town. You’ll have the best of both worlds, with the convenience of restaurants and attractions just steps from your home, and the peace and quiet of the lane with absolutely no traffic.
THE LIVING AREA…
As you step from the charming front porch and walk through the gallery-style foyer, you can immediately see that the home is filled with light. Then, you come to the vaulted living area, with 20-foot ceilings, exposed beams and three sets of French doors. The pool is just outside the French doors. There are two sofas (one is a sleep sofa), two reclining lounge chairs and a rocker. A 50” flat screen TV provides entertainment once you tire of the pool with its soothing waterfall.
The dining table seats eight comfortably, with seating for three more at the kitchen bar. The kitchen itself has only the best appliances, including a cleverly disguised refrigerator with double freezer (Can you tell where it is?).
THE POOL AREA…
The pool area is very private, with equal parts of sun and shade. The pool has a waterfall and steps where you can lounge comfortably. There’s also a separate Jacuzzi. You won’t want to leave this tropical oasis any time soon.
The master bedroom is located on the first floor, with a King bed and flat screen TV. There’s a dressing area with plenty of shelves and hangers for clothing that leads to the master bathroom, with a claw foot tub and a separate custom shower. An exterior door leads to a private outdoor shower.
The distinctive stairway leads to the second and third bedrooms. The second bedroom has two Twin beds that convert to a King on request, and a flat screen TV. The en suite bathroom has a custom tile shower. The third bedroom has a Queen bed and flat screen TV, and its en suite bathroom also has a custom tile shower.
Central Heat and AC, Large Heated Private Pool with Waterfall, Jacuzzi, Gas BBQ, One off-street parking space, Washer/Dryer, 50' Flat Screen TV with DVR in Living Room, Flat Screen TV’s in all Bedrooms, Cable TV throughout, Microwave, Blender, Toaster, Full Gourmet Appointed Kitchen, Queen Sleep Sofa in Living Room, Linens and Towels provided. We've been searching for the perfect Key West rental house and finally found it. Emerald Orchid is even better than it looks in the pictures. It is a comfortable house that is easy to relax in, decorated in an attractive Key West style. The location is perfect, very close to "downtown" and the markets and shops and within easy biking or walking distance of all the best restaurants. One of our favorites, Azur, is just at the end of the lane. After mornings of biking, snorkeling, beaching, or shopping, we spent our afternoons basking in the backyard by the pool (complete with waterfall), alternately enjoying the refreshing pool and the comfort of the hot tub. Elizabeth Patrick catered to our every need. She could not have been more attentive or helpful. Our grandkids were disappointed to learn that we didn't actually own the house, but were placated once they understood that "we could have the house whenever we need it." Needless to say, we have already re-booked for next year.
This wonderful house is located on a small lane, which we loved. All of us found that it was so peaceful and relaxing by the pool, listening to the waterfall and birds. So many of the lovely orchids around the yard were in bloom! Such a tropical oasis this home is! The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking. The bright colors inside plus the beautiful, quirky decor made us feel like true islanders! Everything from the furnishings to the bedding was new and so very lovely! We enjoyed the local restaurants, but buying fresh fish and seafood, then cooking at home was really what we enjoyed most. Lori Bailey was so very helpful, with information and stories about the island's history. She made certain that our vacation was perfect and always greeting us with a smile! We highly recommend Last Key and Lori, for anyone looking for the perfect Key West vacation. This home was truly paradise found!
This exquisite house was so perfect for my Key West extended stay. The bright colors and luxurious amenities, both inside and out, made it spectacular. The many nearby restaurants and local watering holes, gave me and my guests the opportunity to sample different flavors of the island every day. Emerald Orchid certainly lived up to it's name, with the many blooming orchids in the front and back yard. Last Key provided excellent service and I highly recommend them and this unique home.
This magical house was the site of a wonderful month in Key West. Architect designed and tastefully furnished, the house was lovely to be in -- airy and delightfully comfortable. It has everything needed to make a stay perfect. The house is nestled in a tropical landscape on a quiet lane in Old Town -- a convenient walk to most destinations. We had family and guests joining us during our stay. They enjoyed hours in the pool and hot tub. A nearby grocer, bakery and several wonderful restaurants and eateries it all easy. Lori, the property manager, was wonderful. She responded to our requests promptly and helped us resolve a sticky problem with professional tact. We liked her and her company Last Key Realty so much that we've booked next year's stay through them as well. Recommend this house and agency most highly.
This beautiful house has everything that you could want. The location is great-- a few blocks to the seaport and a few blocks to Duval Street. Nassau Lane is a nice quiet cul de sac far enough away from the crowds that you won't be disturbed by noise. You can sit on the deck or in the spa at night and listen to the wildlife chirping. Inside the house, the kitchen is well equipped. Each bedroom has its own bath-- a real plus. The first floor master bedroom is large and "no stairs" is wonderful! The house is well kept and very clean. The orchids in the yard are amazing! The property manager Lori was very accommodating and was very prompt about returning our phone calls. This house was a real delight to call home for our stay. We hope to come back next year.
I don't even know where to begin to explain how incredible our stay at The Emerald Orchid was. First, I must begin with our TEN STAR (Five is not enough to describe her...) property manager, Lori Bailey. From the first email inquiry I sent to her, through every following, and every phone call, Lori was, as I have learned, Lori is: Simply the BEST. As a former Realtor, I can tell you, they don't come any better than Lori. Professional, responsive, kind, considerate, hilarious sense of humor, we just enjoyed her so much. As for the house: It was like a commercial where you don't know really how great the place will be until you get there: When Lori met us at the property and we walked through that door: I got chills. The house is just magnificent. There is not a detail that was overlooked. From the gorgeous color scheme to absolutely beautiful furnishings, this home could easily have come directly from the pages of an Interior Design magazine. The bedrooms are all en suite, and everything in the house looks like it was just installed YESTERDAY. Fabulous artwork adorns every wall, much of it from local artists: Just gorgeous. Even little touches, like shelves full of books for us to enjoy, a little basket containing "spare" sunglasses for us to use were delightful. The back yard, though it sounds like a cliche, is TRULY a serene oasis. There wasn't a single day we did not hang out in the fabulous pool...or to kick back and enjoy the jetted spa in the midst of what is truly a tropical paradise. The yard is absolutely private, lushly landscaped with several varieties of gorgeous orchids, bamboo and of course, the gorgeous palms all around the yard. We didn't even need to rent a car, we were thrilled that the house is so centrally located, and a very short walk to most of the sights and sounds of wonderful Old Town Key West. Anytime we needed a break from walking around, it is a very inexpensive cab ride to basically anywhere in Old Town due to the fabulous location. If you have the opportunity stay at this spectacular home: GRAB IT! We were all so sad when we left!
