About The Owner

Laurie is one of the owners of the Pink House and handles all reservations and the management. The Bello family have been owners for over 12 years and love their little bit of paradise they are able to share with you. Laurie and her husband Jack live in Tampa but frequently visit Fort Myers Beach to visit Jack's brother Greg and wife Cindy who reside there. Laurie is originally from Buffalo, New York while Jack and Greg were born in Paterson and lived in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey and Cindy is from Clifton, New Jersey.

The Owner purchased this house in 2001

Why The Owner chose Fort Myers Beach

We love the Pink House's location; being on the peaceful south side of Fort Myers Beach with quick access to the bay, gulf, and beach. We fell in love with the house (we painted pink) when we first saw it. After numerous renovations over the years, we believe that the Pink House has all the amenities of home. We vacation at the Pink House and hope that you can enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this house unique

One of the most unique benefits of the Pink House is its canal view while enjoying the pool. We typically see manatees, ospreys, and occasionally dolphins. Lover's Key is a short walk over the bridge. Numerous restaurants within a mile and some of the best fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and beaches make this a great place to vacation.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a great house and it's obviously owned by someone who wants to make their guests feel at home. We have stayed in many rentals over the years but I must say, this place is great and has everything you could want and need. There's no reason to even leave the house if you didn't want to. Thanks for looking after the little things that make a big difference like beach chairs that aren't falling apart and plenty of beach toys.

So much fun!

We had a fantastic time. The kids didn't want to leave. They loved the pool, the dock and the many beaches. The canal location was perfect for us. Our youngest (10 years old) said it was the best vacation ever! I have to agree with her!! Quiet location, nice neighbors, easy access to the beaches and all that the Fort Myers / Bonita Springs / Naples / Sanibel area has to offer. Lover's Key is so beautiful, we spent several hours each morning, shelling, and swimming before heading out on day trips. Fort Myers beach downtown area is a short drive away. Great restaurants and shopping close by.

Very Happy

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time! The house was exactly what we desired. It was well stocked and clean. The owners were great to deal with, right from booking, through the entire stay. We felt this house was a great value! We love to stay on the quieter south end of the island and venture out to the busier areas as we desire. We took full advantage of being near Lover's Key, the beach, and being able to exit the island via the less busy Bonita Springs route. We caught many fish right from the dock and saw dolphins a few times in the canal. We will surely consider the Pink House again on any return visits. Thanks again!

Please believe me when I say this has been a super nice experience dealing with the rental of the pink house. NOTHING but genuine honesty about the house, payment and expectations. My family of 6 had the most awesome vacation EVER!! I could go on and on but I will sum it up briefly. The location was excellent especially having a back way out to Bonita Springs during a busy 4th of July week. We avoided a lot of traffic!!! We have been to Fort Myers Beach for the last 5 years and this was the most suitable location for our family that we have had!!

When I read that all of the beach accessories were there I was to say the least, skeptical. Travelling from North Carolina with my group and having to buy all of that stuff gets a little pricey but everything was there! And plentiful!!! Beach chairs, umbrellas w/stands, sand toys, floats for all ages, noodles, coolers, beach carts, a bicycle, pool toys and lots of beach towels were there. We would have only had to pack our clothes and toiletries. Literally!!! I utilized all the cookware and dishes which was more than enough for our family and i loved the nice island in the kitchen! The outside water hose and shop vac was nice also!

The pool!!! Ahhh the pool!! It was pleasurable beyond words on those hot days and nights! We also enjoyed having the dock right on the water!! The fishing fun our family had off that dock will be memories we'll hold forever!! My family looked forward to having the manatees swim through every evening and even saw dolphin RIGHT THERE at the dock. The area was quiet and serene which this Mom found to be the most important attribute of our home away from home!

The affordability of this rental is appreciated. My hope is to take our next vacation in this same spot and to continue that tradition year after year! And my dream is to someday retire to this very area as I know many people do! I so understand their concept.

I am sure I am missing something but I am sure you get my point. We couldn't have asked for a better experience for our annual family trip!

A great vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family just stayed at The Pink House for a week and had an amazing time. The house was clean and well taken care of. There was plenty of room for all 7 of us. There was even a pack and play that worked perfect for our almost 2 year old. The grill was perfect for steaks and burgers. The beach is a quick walk across the street and a cart and umbrellas are available for you to use. At low tide we saw all kinds of sea critters including star fish, sand dollars, and conchs. Perhaps the best part of the house is the pool. We spent a lot of time there. The kids had a blast swimming and watching the canal where we saw manatees and dolphins. If we ever go back to the Ft.Myers area we would love to stay here again.

Look No Further

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a place in Ft Myers Beach area look no further. You've found it. The Pink House is perfect. Our family of 7 just returned from a week long stay and it was absolutely wonderful . The house is fully equipped with absolutely anything and everything you could possibly need and thee most beautiful setting right on the canal where we watched the manatees play every day. We fished right off the dock and caught fish every morning. The beach access is wonderful right across the street. The owners provide all the beach stuff you need including carts to load all your stuff. The house itself is ideal. They layout is great and plenty of room for everyone. There are more than enough towels, beach towels and linens for everyone and the pack n play came in really handy for our 6 month old granddaughter . The best part is the pool. We spent 90% of our time in the heated pool every single day and the neighbors could not have been nicer. Our 3 year old grandson thinks the Pink House IS Florida so I guess if we go back to Florida we HAVE to stay there . Thanks to Laurie for sharing your beautiful place with us. You will definitely see us again!

The lovely Pink House

  • 5 of 5

We are a family for five, two adults and three children aged 9,12 & 14 and we stayed at the lovely Pink House for a week during our november vacation in Florida.

The Pink house has everything you need. It is very spacious and with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, there was plenty of room for our family. The Pink House had all the amenities that you need to have a great vacation. The kitchen was fully equiped, so cooking our breakfast was easy. There were plenty of towels, and even beach-towels and beach chairs, toys for the pool etc. which is great when you are just of the plane from Denmark.

We loved the terrasse with the pool, and the kids spent most of their time submerged in the water and having fun. In the evening we used the gas grill to cook our dinner and enjoyed it sitting on the terrace overlooking the canal. A couple of mornings our 9 year old spotted dolphins in the canal, which for us was a very exotic experience. The Pink house even has it's own boatdock, so we rented a pontoon boat and docked there for lunch.

One of the main reasons we booked the Pink House, was that you have a a complete private house and pool to enjoy - just the family.

The owner Laurie was really friendly and helpful when we booked the property and during our stay. We would gladly recommend staying at the Pink House and going back to Fort Myers Beach, we would love to stay there again.
