Nice cottage near heart of town

Clean, comfortable place. Perfect for me, my wife and our dog. Easy walk to anything Camden has to offer. Lovely community, good restaurants, fun coastal community. Recommend.

Wonderful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed for 15 days at the cottage. We walked into Camden several times for dinner, shopping, ice cream (2 very good ice cream shops!), and general sight seeing. The walk to the beach is pleasant and scenic. Lots of beautiful houses and yards and friendly people. Also, the location of the cottage allows you easy "exit" from Camden as it gets very crowded in town if you had to drive through every time. We made day trips to most of the small towns nearby: Belfast (our favorite!), Rockland, Lincolnville, Bath, and others. The cottage was bright, sunny, and comfortable. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. Amanda and her family live next door so if you have any problems or concerns, she is more than happy to help you. (We locked the key in the cottage one day...) The shower is a challenge if you are over 5'6" but certainly manageable. It is a lovely place to stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a small, convenient place.

Thank you for your hospitality!

Camden Cottage

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this cottage for a long weekend with my husband and one year son. The owner, Amanda, was a breeze to deal with. I requested a crib which was ready to go on our arrival. She and her family were very friendly and we had nice conversations with them. The shower was a bit small but it was fine for us as we are not tall people. The kitchen was also small but worked out just fine. We only cooked breakfast in the mornings for our son. Loved that the cottage was within walking distance to town.

Quaint and Lovely

We had a wonderful stay at the Jacobs Cottage. We had our two children as well. Amanda was so sweet and accomodating and even let us borrow their kayak which was the highlight of the week! We had a wonderful week thanks to Amanda and the Jacobs Ave Cottage!

Perfect cottage for a Camden stay

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this cottage by myself for two weeks while I was taking a class in the area, and liked everything about it. It was close to town, yet very quiet.

The owner, Amanda, was great. The morning after I arrived, she gave me helpful suggestions on restaurants, things to do, etc. And when I had trouble with my wifi connection, she offered to let me sit in her house (where the coverage was good) to check my email until the router reset (and once it did, wifi worked great).

The bed, bathroom and kitchen are all on the top floor, and the downstairs is a seating area with cable TV and a DVD - exactly as described. The kitchen is pretty small, and while it was a challenge for me to cook dinner (although full disclosure - I do like to spread out a bit when I cook) it was perfect for making breakfast.

I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Cute Taste of Maine and an Outstanding Find!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage on Jacobs Street which i discovered last summer is a wonderful find and I've already planned a second visit! The cottage is just as it is described only cuter in person and there's simply no sweeter place than this to enjoy Camden and all that the town has to offer. The owner is attentive but not overly so and the property was kept up very well and very clean. I'm looking forward to a return visit this year!
