We very much enjoyed our stay on Bear Track lake. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the view of the lake from the back porch and easy access to the boat/fishing dock were nice. Between hiking, fishing, grilling, and campfire there was fun to be had for the whole family, and we hope to return some time soon. Thanks again!
Steven and I were very impressed when we pulled up to our cabin. The lake was incredible, and the fish huge! But the cabin was as nice as any cabin we have ever stayed, charming, cozy, even modern aneminities, beautiful gas grill, fully equipped with anything you might need, the deck overhangs the lake. If you like luxury off the beaten path this is the place. It even had it's own hiking trail, with caves how cool! The owners very gracious. ⛰🌄🐟👍🏻
We stayed at Bear Lair cabin for my husband's post birthday celebration. It was wonderful and everything we needed and more was provided. The cabin was cozy, spotless, and very comfortable. The back porch overlooking the beautiful lake was so peaceful. We enjoyed hiking the grounds where there are caves, overhangs, and a natural arch.
We met the owners, Fred and Janice, who were very nice but gave us all the privacy we wanted.
We will be back again and highly recommend their properties.

Great stay and everything was as advertised. Should not hesitate to visit this property.
Just had a wonderful thanksgiving at Bear Lair! The cabin is beautiful and we enjoyed our mornings and evenings sitting out on the porch or by the wood burning stove. About half an hour from the gorge but there are some great caves, an overhang, and even an arch right on the property!
My fiancee and I rented the Bear's Lair for two weekdays in late October. My GPS took us down the wrong road so it made finding the cabin a little difficult. I saw the sign for the Bear's Lair from the road at the right driveway and found our cabin. The driveway to the cabin is gravel, gets maintained some but was a little bumpy, in the car, in spots; Not a big deal but be warned to take it slow if going to this cabin in a car that sits a little too low. Noticed that a couple other cabins on the property looked very clean and practically new. The lake looked very nice and we saw Fred outside his cabin and he motioned to us to park in the driveway in front of the cabin. We were a little late for checkin and wouldn't have recognized the cabin had he not motioned us to it. he gave us the code for the key made some small talk and let us know if we needed anything to let him know. He mentioned some of the details about the property including spring fed lake, recess cave and another smaller cave. In two days there wasn't even a need to leave the property; the Gorge was all right there. There was a boat available to get around the lake and the battery was charged.
I was a little skeptical until we went inside the cabin. It was extremely clean. The leather furniture in living room looked new. The hardwood floor is beautiful and very clean. Lots of towels, washcloths, and blankets and they were higher end than I expected. I was very impressed as other cabins were more expensive but this one has it all. The deck overlooking the lake was a favorite place at this time as the temperature was comfortable and the lake is beautiful. Upgraded microwave, refrigerator with ice maker, and coffee maker. Every single thing is better than I would expect it to be.
We walked to the caves the first day but it got dark before we could really explore the recess cave and regrettably that was left undone and i couldn't verify the claim. I took the boat around the lake the first morning and it was very nice beautiful and peaceful. I could've stayed on the lake but had planned to hike to Gray's arch and The Natural bridge that day. built a fire in the fireplace and grilled steaks on the gas grill. They took much longer than I expected so maybe the gas was low.
The cabin is a little smaller than I expected but probably not than claimed. There is one usable level including living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. It's perfect for a couple or small family. Great place
