It would be our pleasure for you to enjoy a quiet, relaxing week, weekend, or month in our charming home, located on the first terrace of Spinnler Point, the most coveted community on Lake Wallenpaupack. Our home is nestled in a private neighborhood and guests will have easy access to a private community dock, boat slip and a swimming and fishing area. Playground equipment for entertainment of the little ones is located near the dock with great views of the lake.
The drive to our home takes 2 hours from NYC and 2.5 hours from Philly.
At our home there's plenty of outdoor eating and lounging space on our spacious L-shaped deck, enough to accommodate table seating for 14 along with several lounge chairs. The deck off the third floor master suite boasts great lake views as well. Start your day with a cup of coffee at the bistro set and watch the sun rise over Lake Wallenpaupack.
All the amenities you could think of are at the house including a gas stove, microwave, hairdryers, full kitchen supplies, barbeque grill and a brand new washer and dryer. Plus, we have two fireplaces.
The house is within a 5 minute drive to great restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and spirits store and a 1 min drive from the local convenience store and deli.

While we live in upstate New York, our children basically grew up on Lake Wallenpaupack during the summers and some winter weekends and holidays. The summer was an exciting time for our entire family as we boated, swam, water skied, tubed to our hearts' delight. Dining al fresco on most summer nights was delightful as we watched boats coming in to the dock or taking an early night 'stroll' down the Lake. The winter months brought skiing, sleigh riding, snowball fights, snowman building and holiday the little joys of the winter season followed by a nice evening circle of family and friends around the brick fireplace or wood stove. We hope other people seeking fun, relaxation, and time together will enjoy this charming place as much as we did.
Steven and Regina Wagner purchased this house in 1996
Originally, we owned a small home on the other end of Spinnler Point. We liked the people in our neighborhood and had a short walk to the lake. However, over time we outgrew our original home and were approached by community members at the other end of the Point to look at 104 Shore Rd. We chose this property, first, because of its location--just a few skips down to the dock. Also the neighbors were fun and created a friendly atmosphere. The neighborhood was well maintained. We liked the spaciousness of the home--4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a living room with fireplace, dining area, kitchen, family room, laundry room, one car garage, lovely yard. A walk or bike ride from our property throughout Spinnler Point Colony was fun exercise along the many routes we could take to return to the house.
The house was spacious and well laid out but it was our vision of what this house could be that inspired us to purchase it. New wooden floors, large palladium windows in the living room, other new flooring, and a 'country living' decorating style all our own made the house 'ours' and added great warmth to the house. Our neighbors were always so kind and helpful and enjoyed chatting down by the lake.
To the Wagners, We really enjoyed the weekend at your beautiful home. Our sister-in-law, who is from Germany, said this reminded her of her weekends in Germany. Thank you for the wonderful memories.
We got married this past weekend and rented this house from Regina and Steve. From the very beginning, Regina was nothing but kind and helpful. We arrived to a clean, gorgeous, well maintained big home that was perfect for my families needs. It is steps from the lake, was air conditioned perfectly, and wonderful for my wedding morning of getting ready. I can't recommend this property enough, and the owners are some of the kindest people and we have never even met. Regina, thank you for all that you did to ensure my wedding was perfect- the mirror and extra air condotioners totally made the day. We can't wait to visit again! Thank you so much and I'll send pictures soon!
The property had everything we needed to enjoy our Thanksgiving. It is charming and comfortable and very conducive to family time around the fire. The kitchen was well stocked with the things we needed to cook family meals. The bedrooms and bathroom were comfortable and very clean. The owners were very responsive to my emails and very helpful in giving me information about the area. All in all it was a great experience and we look forward to doing it again some time.
When we arrived at this property, we knew we had hit the jackpot...beautiful, charming home with a large deck and lake views as well as great proximity to the boat slip and swimming area. The house is comfortable and spacious and there are 4 bedrooms and a fold out couch in the family room. We used them all! As for the dock--it only took us about two minutes to walk to the dock. Having a slip for our boat at no extra cost was very convenient and cost-saving.
This house worked for our group of twenty somethings and we could see how this house would also work for families with children of all ages.
We can't say enough about the helpfulness and caring of the owners. They communicated with us regularly, answered our questions promptly and sent us materials to help us before and during our stay. They treated us like family.
The house was immaculate and all linens were provided--such a convenience.
We are booking for next year for sure. Our only regrets are that we could not stay longer and that we cannot give this property 6 stars!
We have been vacationing on Lake Wallenpaupack for many years, keep a boat at a local marina, and have rented many homes over the years. This year, because of our growing family and baby grand-daughter, we searched for a family-friendly, larger house, with a boat slip. We found it and so much more with this home!! The house is clean, inviting, with good size rooms, and well equipped kitchen, and big gas grill. Lots of outdoor seating and tables on large deck. We kept our boat in the owner's boat slip for the entire week, which was a a big plus. The docks are in good shape, with a swim ladder. All the people we met in the community were friendly. The owners are great, too. My husband had questions concerning the boat slip, and were answered prior to our arrival. We had a wonderful stay and will be back next summer!!
This was the first year we rented this home for our annual family reunion and we will try to rent it every year. This is a beautiful home with lots of space and a great location. Thanks for so much for sharing it with us.
We had 9 people in our party and found that the house could accommodate everyone comfortably. Having 3 floors of living space was great, and the master bedroom on the 3rd level with it's own stairwell made it very private and quiet. The dock is close (we could see the boat from the master bedroom deck) and we had a somewhat limited but still decent view of the lake from the main deck. The owners were responsive and very accommodating and I would highly recommend this rental.
