Our home in nestled directly behind the clubhouse, with a large yard for BBQing and play and relaxing between the town home and the community center. Wake up and walk across the lawn for a swim in the gorgeous community infinity pool or take the kids for a play in the children's splash zone! There is also a workout room and lounge area to watch the big game or wind down with friends you've met while walking the nature path around the lake! Our town home features 3 bedrooms including a King en suite, a queen and also a twin bedroom (all bedrooms are located upstairs). There are two full baths on the upstairs floor as well with one half bath downstairs, along with laundry facilities on the first floor. The kitchen features full size appliances and an adjoining dining area. The living room features a large flat screen TV with cable and DVD player. Each bedroom also has a cable TV! Lake Berkley features many community amenities and is very convenient to Disney property and I-4 (to Universal Studios and outlet shopping!).
We had a very nice stay in the house and it was perfect with the pool so close. We hade some problem entering the house when we came in the middle of the night and had to call the owner, the problem was solved after a couple of minutes and after that it was perfect. We can definitely recommend this property. The area is very calm but it is not far away from shops, restaurants and the parks.
We have typically stayed in a pool home but as there were less of us and this was a last minute trip we decided to try a townhome and chose Lake Berkley on the referral of a friend. Its really a beautiful community that is hidden at the end of a road - you wouldn't imagine this peaceful place is just around the corner from a Walmart - so you can imagine how close it is to all the shops and restaurants! We did visit the lake a few times and its very peaceful. No swimming (I expect because of potential Alligators, but we didn't see any small fish from the short). There is a beach to hang out in the sand which is raised up before it gets to the water. So its a place for children to play or anyone to lay in the sun. The villa is located just across the yard from the clubhouse and pool. So we could easily walk across the grass and enjoy a swim which was VERY convenient! So it is not overlooking another villa directly behind it which most seem to do here ... The pool area is beautiful and very relaxing. We were the only ones in the pool any time we were there ... I guess everyone else was at the park :) But I'm told September is a great time to visit because its slow. We were not traveling with children but the little gated water park was adorable :) I would surely recommend this to adult or senior travelers and they obviously have catered to children as well. We will definitely be telling friends about this villa - we LOVED the location across from the pool, the big screen TV in the living area and the ease of the check-in process with the keyless entry.
We only used one bedroom but really enjoyed the small porch off the master to open the door and let fresh air in each morning. The townhome has generous space and the location is fantastic. Free WiFi and calls in the US were a plus for us. It was a nice walk over to the lake (or a very short drive for a picnic) which was a pleasing way to start the day as we enjoy a walk at home each morning. The lake area is beautiful and actually was never very busy while we stayed. The location of Lake Berkley was close to the parks and several restaurants and grocery with a Walmart practically right next door. This was our first time staying in this resort and we were pleased with our decision. We would definitely look to return here for next years holiday. I would recommend it to short stays or even snow birds as the resort seems to have everything you could want for "Down" days and still is close enough to the hustle of the vacation sector.
Was pleasantly surprised with the location of Lake Berkley and the towhome itself. The subdivision is located just off Oren Brown behind the Medevil Times dinner show - but at the end of a really quiet road. There is a gorgeous Lake (thus the name!) - no swimming, there is a beach to sit and enjoy the view. There is a big island in the center of the lake absolutely FILLED with water fowl! Bring a camera with a zoom lens! Its a great place to consider an extended stay because there is so much to do and relax right inside the community and its very friendly to walking around. The townhome itself is just right with 2 small outdoor porches, inside laundry, nice sized rooms and seems well maintained. It was clean upon arrival and smelled fresh. We were very pleased with our decision to stay here on every level.
Nestled off a quiet road in a guard gated community Lake Berkley is a vacation paradise. Just close enough to the hustle and bustle of the theme parks and shopping, but off the main road so no sounds of traffic to remind you just how close you are. The Lake does not allow swimming or boating, but has a beautiful island filled with local water fowl. Bring your long lenses for some photos of a lifetime with some of Florida's most beautiful birds! You may fish from the dock (catch and release only - bring your own rod), have a picnic or BBQ in the lawn around the lake, play in the children's playground area, take a walk around the lake ... or enjoy tennis or the half court basketball! The clubhouse features an infinity pool and a children's splash zone (visible from our townhome which is straight across the yard from the clubhouse!) as well as an air conditioned work out room. At Lake Berkley you are only 20 minutes to Disney Property and about 30 to Universal Studios. You won't believe how close you are!
