We had higher expectations for this price point

  • 3 of 5

- great communication & response time with owner

- location: property is within a reasonable walking distance to the beach and is within a reasonable driving distance to amenities

- New appliances

- Lots of extra linens and towels

- TV room with kids' books

- Wi-fi

- Newer windows

- fire pit

- Front-porch screens were loose and hanging, letting bugs in.

- Musty smell

- Dead bugs and some spiders were in both the front and back covered porches, which made them unusable and wasted space (not as pictured on posting).

- Some cobwebs in kids room ceiling near top bunk

- Dirty floors

- Very dirty rugs (not as pictured)

- Grill was very dirty with build-up below the grates, causing flare-ups

- Landscaping was overgrown on property

- The fitted sheet for the trundle bed was dirty, so we used the provided extra linens and cleaned the dirty sheet

- Clean or replace grill (Charbroil Tru Infrared gas grill might be a good option to reduce flare-ups)

- Weekly thorough cleaning, mopping of floors, and bug maintenance

- New screens for front porch to help with bug maintenance

- Monthly landscaping maintenance to remove/mitigate poison oak and ivy near entrances and surrounding property (for kids & adults)

- Current grill

- Ground cover on property (poison ivy, poison oak)

Great house in quiet neighborhead next to park

  • 4 of 5

This was an awesome house! It had a wonderful kitchen, good appliances ( though a few more small spoons would be great), the bathrooms had showers that were amazing and the overall ambience and comfort level was excellent.

In addition, the accommodations for children made two little boys very happy. The owners had equipped the house with many children's books, games and movies. They also had scooters and bikes in the garage, and finally, they had a game room complete with a Thomas the Tank engine table.

The neighborhood was very quiet. There was not a lot of traffic. People were friendly.

The house borders Hoffmaster park, there is a trail from the house to the beach but it does involve a sand dune which is hard for 65 and above to climb up, however, a short drive in the car takes you to the Park Entrance and access to their sandy beach:)

I highly recommend the house. Check it out!

Great weekend away!

  • 4 of 5

The house was perfect for a girls weekend. There was enough space for 9 people. We loved the bonfire pit and the short walk to the beach. It was only about a 15 min drive to downtown grandhaven.

The property was clean and well-maintained and listing description accurate regarding the location.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in the area and its location was convenient to the towns we wanted to visit.

We were pleased to have the opportunity to meet Rebekah as we arrived. She made us feel at

home along with answering questions about the area and house. Over all we had a good time.

All we hoped for and more!

  • 5 of 5

A family of eight total, with siblings and spouses, shared this vacation spot to celebrate the sucessful treatment of a sister's cancer treatment. We couldn't have been happier with this beautiful, well-maintained location. The new appliances were fantastic, the bathrooms and kitchen new and well-equipped, and the furnishings ample for so large a group of adults, sheets and towels ample and of good quality. The property is large, private, and the nearby beach ( shared with the park) gorgeous. The neighbors in this quiet neighborhood went out of their way to welcome us and offer helpful information. We have recommended this location to others and hope to return ourselves.
