The property was clean and well-maintained and listing description accurate regarding the location.

We enjoyed our stay in the area and its location was convenient to the towns we wanted to visit.

We were pleased to have the opportunity to meet Rebekah as we arrived. She made us feel at

home along with answering questions about the area and house. Over all we had a good time.

All we hoped for and more!

  • 5 of 5

A family of eight total, with siblings and spouses, shared this vacation spot to celebrate the sucessful treatment of a sister's cancer treatment. We couldn't have been happier with this beautiful, well-maintained location. The new appliances were fantastic, the bathrooms and kitchen new and well-equipped, and the furnishings ample for so large a group of adults, sheets and towels ample and of good quality. The property is large, private, and the nearby beach ( shared with the park) gorgeous. The neighbors in this quiet neighborhood went out of their way to welcome us and offer helpful information. We have recommended this location to others and hope to return ourselves.

Annual get together

  • 5 of 5

Our group had a great stay! The house had everything we needed and then some. The inside of the house was definitely larger than the pictures led me to believe which was a pleasant surprise. we did get attacked by mesquitos on the walk to the beach so make sure you bring your bug spray. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing week!

Great location, amenities, and scenery!

  • 5 of 5

Upon arrival we were very pleased with the property. It's in a quiet location nestled in the trees, and still only about a 10 min drive to shopping and dining. The walk to the beach was enjoyable, just bring bug spray. My kids loved jumping off the dunes and splashing in the lake. It was very peaceful and not many other people there. The house fit 6 of us comfortably with room to spare. Lots of tots and games for kids of all ages makes this a great place for families. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Quiet and peacful yet plenty to see and do

  • 4 of 5

Located in a quiet subdivision adjacent to the state park and a short walk to the dune shoreline. Breathtaking views. The house was roomy and comfortable with everything you could ask for. Near lots of lake front activity like Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival, the beach, kayaking, Muskegon, Mall, Whippi dip and more.

Good Location

  • 2 of 5

The location of the property is great - walk to the beach, drive to town very close. The fire pit was great in the end of the day. This is where all greatness stops.

The property was overgrown and dirty (dust was everywhere as well as spider webs on windows) , looks like it was never cleaned after the winter. None of beds in the bunk rooms had sheets on, we had to look for them in all drawers to make beds out of miscellaneous mismatched sheets. There were only 2 windows that we could open - bunk bed room and big window in the living room had winter windows on, so we couldn't open them as well as there was no hot water. Pretty much the house wasn't ready for our arrival. After communication with the owner we got windows open and hot water turned on by his management company couple hours later, but really this is not how you want to start your vacation. The fire pit was overgrown with ferns thank goodness we found scissors and cut them all down so we can at least put chairs around. Im sure, as the season in full swing all these nuances are gone and someone dust the place (I dusted the grill from winter dust). Of course after all these things were fixed we had a great time.

Owner's Response: We always appreciate an honest review. Thank you! Yes, we had significant trouble getting the cottage opened for the season this year with the usual manager out last minute and an incomplete picture from the cleaning crews hired, even after several visits from different crews. We are very happy to have newly on board knowledgable and experienced managers to ensure the standard with the cleaning and yard maintenance crew. Replacements for the sheets have been obtained, a deep cleaning has been performed and the yard has been serviced properly. If there are any problems, we can get someone over there on the same day to take care of them and always appreciate the chance to do something about it right away. We would like the chance to so something about the quality of your visit yet if we can get in touch. --Rebekah
