We had a wonderful relaxing time. Its a beautiful cabin and very cozy & quiet. We are thankful that your cabin is animal friendly - we go no where with out our fur kids. Thank you
Hawk's Landing was everything we hoped it would be---a relaxing,
get-away in a beautiful setting! Nestled in among the trees, we
still had a view out over the hills. We went to the apple orchards,
browsed the shops in Blue Ridge, hiked to Amicalola Falls, visited
Fort Mountain State Park----all places we noticed in the notebook
and many brochures supplied at the cabin/. Kim also sent us a
numbers of suggestions for hikes and things to do with our dog.
Oh, man, the hot tub was truly the greatest! We loved it lit up at
night with the bubbling water giving us a massage. The beds so
comfortable and we enjoyed the TV. Hawk's Landing had every-
thing we needed for a great time, and Kim went the extra mile to
make us feel welcome. Our little dog loved it too!
Cabin is in a very relaxing location. A bit off the main road but worth it.
The cabin was exactly as pictured! It was nice and clean and well stocked upon arrival. The beds were extremely comfortable. There was even a toy box with toys, books, and family games in the cabin that we weren't expecting. Kim thought of everything a family could need and made sure that her cabin had it! We saw lots of deer which our girls LOVED! You will get lots of photos. We enjoyed the hot tub, and we also followed a lot of Kim's suggested activities and we were not disappointed. Sadly we were too chicken to try the path behind the cabin, but we vow that we definitely will do it on our next visit.
Very nice, well stocked, clean cabin! My family of 4 had a great time at this cabin and hope to be back one day. Cabin was very well stocked-the best of any we've ever rented. We had a great time hanging out playing board games (LOTS of board games and recent books for all ages were in the cabin) and hiking the trail behind the cabin. Tubed the Toccoa, mined for gold in Dahlongega, stopped by Amicalola Falls-a great cabin close to lots of things to do if you want to get out. The road up is gravel but safe and we saw deer most days on our journey down the mountain. Cabin is secluded enough for privacy and to feel like you're away from everything, but there are other cabins in the area. We had a great trip spending time as a family! The owner was excellent on recommending things to do and communication in general. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time. The cabin is well stocked with just about anything you need for a pleasant stay. Kim provides wonderful information about the area attractions which we used to enhance our time here. Mornings and evenings were spent on the cabin porch and in the hot tub. The area is peaceful and quiet with plenty of natural scenery. We all enjoyed watching the birds and deer in the woods around the cabin. There are lots of different types of activities and attractions in the surrounding towns and we found the area residents to be really nice and helpful. If you like BBQ don't miss Bigun's BBQ in Jasper. Toccoa Riverside Restaurant in Blue Ridge was also a big hit with us and the Cornerstone Café in Ellijay. All the nearby towns have wonderful shops and places to eat and Hawk's Landing really is central, not just to several towns, but to state parks, beautiful scenic drives through the mountains and along country roads, hiking, horseback riding, picnicking, biking ... just about anything you might want to do.
We did a little of everything and I do not think we could have enjoyed ourselves more!
Hawk's Landing will be our choice anytime we come to Ellijay!
