Beautiful home in a peaceful setting!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights at this lovely home and couldn’t have been more pleased with our time spent there. The house is exactly as is shown in the pictures. It was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, had high-end appliances, plush towels and bedding and is very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The house is located in a private area and is so peaceful with fantastic water views.

We went to Beaufort several times and really recommend eating at Dockside restaurant which is on the waterfront. The food is delicious there. If you want to buy fresh seafood to cook or take home with you, go to Highway 21 Seafood on Trask Parkway in Beaufort. They have anything you could want and are reasonable priced. We bought fresh shrimp to take home with us and they were wonderful. Another restaurant we loved was Low Country Produce Market and Cafe on Trask Parkway in Seabrook which is just a short distance from the house. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and have the best burgers ever! A “must try” is the pimento cheese burger...so delicious! The staff was very friendly and the service excellent. You will not be disappointed if you visit there. They also sell lots of goodies to take home with you.

We have rented from VRBO on several occasions and this was by far the easiest rental process we have ever experienced. The owner, Lana Brown, was very gracious and accommodating and a dream to work with as well as being very quick to respond to our rental request and to answer any questions we had. We had the pleasure of meeting her and her handsome grandson while there and they were both delightful. The Browns truly want the best for their guests and show the warmest of southern hospitality. Thank you Lana and Glenn for sharing your beautiful home with us and helping to make our 48th wedding anniversary a most memorable one. We hope to visit there again and highly recommend this rental to others as this house has it all!! We absolutely loved it!!

The sweetest owners ever!

  • 5 of 5

This house is just wonderful!! We were a family of 4 adults (2 grandparents and 2 parents) and 2 kids (ages 3.5 and 4.5). The views are gorgeous! Waking up every morning to a breathtaking sunrise from the master bedroom made this home worth every penny. The kitchen with open living area was wonderful, and it was so nice to cook breakfast while enjoying the views and watching nature. Great kitchen! The beds were all extremely comfortable. This home is within a very easy, comfortable ride to Beaufort...about 10-15 minutes tops. Lana Brown (the owner) is very quick in getting back to you if you should have any questions or concerns at all. It is very obvious that she wants everyone to have a great stay. If you love nature, watching sunrises, and sunsets as much as I do, this is the home for you! This is the place to get away from it all! So incredibly peaceful! We absolutely loved it and our kids loved it too!! Highly, highly recommend!

Perfect Getaway That Has It All!!!

  • 5 of 5

We just recently returned from a week vacation at this awesome home on the water and it is definitely all that anyone could want or need. We took our 26 foot boat and had a great time exploring the many miles of waterways, sounds, beaches, etc. that this centrally located area has to offer. The dock it well lit with plenty of seating, electricity, fresh water, etc. and is a fantastic place to hang out even if you do not have a boat and want to just enjoy the privacy, the views, fishing and dolphin watching. Sunset from out on the dock was incredible each night! The home has everything you could possibly need and then some. Modern look and feel while at the same time very cozy and set up for couples, families or large groups. Only a few minutes car ride to downtown, restaurants and shopping or a beautiful boat ride on the ICW into Beaufort which is such a great town to see and explore. Thanks to Lana and Glenn for sharing their home and we will certainly be back again.............

Two Weeks in the Low Country

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this lovely house for two weeks and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The house, the view, and the weather were ideal, which was a healing compensation for the terrible New England winter we endured last year. We didn’t fish, but we loved watching the dolphins, the herons and egrets, and even one day, a rare white pelican. We visited Savannah and Charleston, but spent most of our time in the old part of Beaufort, on The Mossy Oaks Trail with our dog, or just relaxing at the house. Glenn and Lana are wonderful hosts, responding to any question or request immediately. We couldn’t have asked for a better escape from the cold.

A Welcome Retreat for Families of New Marines

  • 5 of 5

I was in search of a home to rent close to Parris Island, SC for my family to stay in order to attend my youngest son's Marine Corp Boot Camp Graduation. In addition to my immediate family, I also had my extended family, and my Marine's girlfriend and her very supportive Momma (like a second mom to my son), and we were surprising him with his best friends and his dog! I wanted us to be all be together under one roof for meals and for spending time quality time together with our new Marine. I am SUPER OCD about these kind of things and searched and searched and searched online for just the right place.

The house was within 20-25 minutes of Parris Island and was just perfect. We were able to get back and forth to the base with no issues and grab groceries at WalMart for family meals. We also went to IHOP and TGIF for casual family dining, and my husband and I enjoyed Dockside, a very popular seafood restaurant on Lady's Island, a 20 minute drive in the other direction (towards Beaufort - no clue which way - I am directionally challenged), as we came down a night early to get situated. The atmosphere was nice and the food was great.

My family, friends, and especially my Marine loved the house. He was able to decompress and relax with all of us. He took his girl to the drive-in movie theatre just down the road, enjoyed a home-cooked, meal, Chik-Fil-A, the serene atmosphere, and sleeping in!

My husband fished off the dock every single day and caught speckled trout which he fried up in the cooker downstairs. The only thing that could have made this trip more enjoyable is if it were summer time!

This was the first time I had every used VRBO and I did not know what to expect. I certainly hope that any future experience I have is as fantastic as it has been with The Browns.

Thank you, Lana for your hospitality and graciousness!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the GREAT review! We really try hard to make our guest comfortable. So glad your husband got time to fish off the dock. The only bad thing he didn't get to share them with us. It was nice that your son and girlfriend got to go to the drive-in movie. They may never get to experience it again. After your family left the weather was 85 degrees. Thanks! And please come again, The Browns
