Comfortable, quiet retreat

  • 5 of 5

Stayed for 5 nights with a family of 4. Plenty of room, very nice amenities and the peace and quiet were as advertised. Our kids loved the hot tub and pool table and I enjoyed sitting on the deck eating breakfast or listening to the river noises after dark. The master bedroom accommodations were high end and we slept well every night. There is a charge $25 per person per night above 2 people so the price is higher than advertised for families. Overall an excellent experience and it was a perfect getaway location. Highly recommend Rouge River Rafting right there in Gold Hill and there are 3 or 4 good dinner options in Grants Pass.

Great Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We used the home for a quick weekend wine getaway and had a wonderful time. The location was very central for the purpose of our visit and easy to find. The kitchen had a good variety of utensils and with the addition of the grill, we did most of our eating at the house. The house and garden has some very eclectic decorations. Path to the river was clean and well maintained. The water in the river was too fast to consider accessing the water, but it was a great place to sit and read.

comfortable and homey, while being entertaining and unusual

  • 5 of 5

great space and atmosphere for entertaining with eclectic art and nice views. Kitchen is functional and well stocked, beds were comfortable and area was very quiet. We enjoyed ourselves and were well entertained in the house while the weather was not what we had hoped for.

Wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in Gold Hill was fantastic! The home was immaculate, very well-appointed and very peaceful and quiet. The setting looking out over the river was great and the art work both in and out of the house was fun, interesting and creative. Sam and Paula were great hosts and very helpful after we messed up the TV reception. Came right over and took care of it! All in all a very great experience. We loved it!

Great base for Southern Oregon adventure

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a few nights at this home during a visit to Southern Oregon. It is a comfortable, well-appointed house in a great location. We were able to spend the day hiking in Crater Lake and along the Rogue -- and make it back in time for a visit to nearby Del Rio winery. It is easily accessible from I5, which made it convenient for exploring the area, but the location is wooded and quiet.
