Great location. Clean. Well stocked kitchen. We had a great stay.

Great location, but...

The house is in need of some updates or at least, some TLC. The window in the master bath opens, but will not stay open. There is no exhaust fan either which seemed very odd, so once in the shower, I opened the door for ventilation. The 2nd bathroom did have an exhaust fan and was much larger. I didn't use it as I'd already used the one in the master bedroom and didn't want to "dirty' another bathroom. The window in the hall outside the bathroom only opens about 5". Most of the lights were very dim bulbs and some ceiling lights didn't work at all. There is a slight musty smell in the living area as the couches appear quite old. The stove could be updated or at least the one back burner fixed as it no longer sits correctly. I don't know if that burner worked or not, I didn't use it. The rug in the main bedroom needs to be cleaned as there are stains from something being spilled on it. The WiFi worked well once I got the correct password.

The deck outside is great and offers some awesome views. Sunsets are pretty incredible. The outside area in the front of the house is very nice, but hey, when at the ocean I'm gonna spend my time on that side, right? But it is a nice courtyard area with a grill, table and chairs. The kitchen table also allows for some great views if you have to sit inside rather than on the deck(s)

There were very few people in any of the units so it being a gated area, made me feel more comfortable and Heather at the gate was amazing - so nice and so helpful for area information.

Just a side note that does not reflect at all on the property - if you have any type of disability as I do, it can be very difficult to get back from the beach. The sand is quite deep and it is a rather steep drop off to walk back up to the boardwalk. If you make the effort, it will be worth it.

Overall the house needs some TLC and it would be awesome. The location is perfect and views are amazing. The views are 5 star to be sure.

Great Location

We didn't realize when we booked the house how remote it was from everything. There are only a few townhouses in the community that have access to this beach. This meant that we really had the entire beach to ourselves. We were able to see Whales out in the distance and watch Sea Otters play in the surf. This was a great surprise! We were a 15 minute drive from Monterey which was close enough to enjoy it, but far enough away to feel like we were miles away from anything. We will definitely book again if we go back out to the area.

Quiet Beach House
