We love the Gatlinburg area and the Great Smoky Mountains. We also own 4 other log cabin rental properties in Pigeon Forge.
Mike Hrib purchased this cabin in 2004
We looked at several locations in the mountains and this property offered a great view with easy access to the cabins even in winter conditions. In addition, it is located just minutes from anything that you want to do in Pigeon Forge but still offers privacy and seclusion from the main traffic area.
This property allows us to vacation while feeling like we are at home. The kids can leave a mess and run around and have fun and we do not have to worry about neighbors or a maid interruption. The dog has a safe place to stay while we are on our outings. We are close to all major attractions and secluded enough to hear the birds chirping.
We enjoyed so very much our stay in your lovely cabin...
really liked the layout, décor, and location. We had a
very relaxing, refreshing stay.
Thanks so much,
My husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating our birthdays here. The cabin was beautiful and secluded but yet SO conviently close to town. Each morning we were greeted by turkeys & different wildlife and the view of the mountains was wonderful. We would absolutely stay here again!
The cabin is great. We loved the hot tub after long days of walking through Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the mountains (all just minutes away). The cabin is still secluded with plenty of privacy. Mike was easy to work with and responded quickly to our many inquires. The 3 gas fireplaces available during winter months were a great plus. We even got to see a small black bear one night in the hot tub, though we only got a glimpse.
My husband and I really thought the location of the Heart's Desire cabin was perfect for us. It is off the main road so we could walk our dogs each morning. It is near to The Old Mill Restaurant, where we wanted to eat 1 evening. It's only minutes to every thing we/I wanted to go to.
Love how close to Pigeon Forge. The cabin was just big enough. We enjoyed the pool table, we don't usually do the hot tub, but this one looked clean so we used it was very nice. Everything worked. We used the grill, was clean. Beds were ok we are use to sleep number so were a little uncomfortable for us. We're old, young bucks can handle it. The couch was good like the leather one better, we had one like it at home. The bathrooms a little small, but served the purpose, I don't live in there. Husband loved the porch, sat out there most of the time there. Fire place was nice in mornings to knock the chill off. TV is a little tricky to figure out. Love working with Mike, very nice . Steps a little tricky, they lean forward. Would recommend to anyone. Will book again.
My family and I had a great time in Pigeon Forge. The cabin was well kept and clean. The drive out and in every morning/evening was simple. The cabin was overall fully furnished and convenient for 4 adults. The only negatives we experienced was that the electronic lock wasnt programmed with OUR key code so we had to contact the host. He did answer right away and the problem was solved. Also, we arrived after dark and with no address numbers or signs on the homes driveway we spent a little extra time finding the right cabin.
My husband and I rented this property for the week of Thanksgiving and shared the cabin with my parents--it's perfect for two couples! We also had our two dogs with us, this is a dog-friendly rental with no weight restrictions for well-behaved dogs! The cabin is warm and inviting, and Mike is an excellent host, very responsive to the questions we had prior to our rental and he was in communication with us before our arrival, leaving detailed and easy-to-follow instructions for arrival and departure. The cabin is roomy, with two comfortable queen-sized beds and each bedroom has its own gas fireplace and jacuzzi tub, plus separate bathrooms. The kitchen had all the utensils, dishes, and cookware we needed to make and eat meals and we used the charcoal grill a few times as well (the grill is also a smoker, for anyone who is more ambitious than I am when it comes to preparing meats)--we didn't feel limited at all in the kitchen. The wifi in the cabin is a good speed; we were able to stream videos on our Roku with no problem. The hot tub was a welcome addition to our vacation, especially for relaxing after our day hikes in the Smokey Mountains. The cabin is located conveniently, away from the hustle and bustle but just down the road from Dollywood and only 10 minutes to Pigeon Forge.
There are many attractions to enjoy in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg for any type of adventure seeking fun. Dollywood and Splash Country offer great family fun. Parrot Mountain is right by your cabin and great fun for all ages. Local shows like the Dixie Stampede and the Comedy Barn offer daily entertainment. If you are a nature enthusiast, take advantage of hiking in the National Park, white water rafting, horseback riding or zip lining. There is something to do for everyone on your vacation....no matter how young or old. Have a great time in the Smoky Mountains!
