Always feels like Home!
I always love staying here. One of the most comfortable places to be.
Thank you so much. It is good to hear that many people who spend time at the cabin enjoy the peaceful and relaxing setting. A place where you can really unwind.
Delighted with our experience!
I hesitate to brag too much on this cabin and property as it may become too popular and I won't be able to reserve. =)
This cabin is VERY clean and well appointed with a proper balance of rustic and modern conveniences. We loved the iron beds! The grandkids loved their loft accommodations in their own secret get-a-way.The 12 to 15 inch wide pine boards covering every square inch is a wood that is seldom seen anymore in these widths. The stone fireplace with wood burning stove insert was inviting. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom has new showers, etc.
We tried every chair on the front and side porches and liked the screened porch swing for sitting and checking on the grandkids exploring the robust stream. But most of all we enjoyed the huge amount of space in the meadow with the stream running through it. The perfect olympic size bocce ball court! =) The fire ring at the turn of the creek was used nightly. Except for an occasional car on the road above the cabin, there were no sounds except for the gurgling river flowing over the small waterfalls and the hawk that liked to hunt on the property. Not another house was in view. Just an amazing setting!
And when the time came for adventuring, there was so much to do in the area and all of it so close by. We hiked Angel Falls at Lake Rabun. We ate at the Chophouse on Lake Burton. We ate at the funky Batesville Cafe. We shopped for pottery and amazing marbled items at the cluster of craft stores just op the road. We checked out the Sunrise Stables for horseback riding and zip lining for a summer return visit. Our daughter and kids made the trek to the crazy town that is Helen and hiked up Anna Ruby Falls. We marked out maps for the hikes out of Helen that utilize a segment of the AT. Unicoi State Park is just up the road and .............
But most of all we fully utilized the adirondack chairs perched along Raper Creek and listened to no sounds but the laughter of 12 year olds being, well, 12 year olds playing in a creek.
Don't hesitate to book your stay at this very special property. The owners are very responsive to your inquiries and go the extra step to make your stay enjoyable.
Loved this Cabin!
So relaxing being in the creek. The cabin was clean and had everything you need. Perfect location! The only negative was cracked board on kitchen floor and missing screens on back porch. This is the perfect set up! We will be back!
I am so glad you enjoyed your time in the cabin, and thanks so much for pointing out the 2 areas that need to be fixed. We will get right on those things. Thanks again for renting with us.
The cabin and property is great! I will definitely be back!
Thank you for allowing me to stay.
Peaceful, cozy, country setting
Mountain cabin surrounded by beautiful views. The large screened in porch was overlooking a creek with waterfall. We enjoyed morning coffee listening to the water. Cabin was clean, roomy and comfortable. Located close to the fun, but still enjoyed the peace and quiet of the mountains. A great place to stay!
The perfect little cabin nestled on the most amazing piece of property that I have ever laid eyes on. My little boy who is three years old was nonstop all over the place! He loved every minute of it. The pictures do not show the true natural beauty of this place! AMAZING! We will absolutely return!
