Located near Batesville this lovely, secluded mountain cabin overlooks Raper Creek and the Chattahoochee National Forest. This cabin is rustic (pine floors and walls with mountain laurel bannister and porch railing) and comfortable, with modern kitchen and bathroom. There is a great room with a large rock fireplace, two bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. The large screened porch and rock fire pit overlook the trout stream with beautiful shoals.

The perfect little cabin nestled on the most amazing piece of property that I have ever laid eyes on. My little boy who is three years old was nonstop all over the place! He loved every minute of it. The pictures do not show the true natural beauty of this place! AMAZING! We will absolutely return!
Once again, my family and I enjoyed - TREMENDOUSLY - our stay at John's cabin for a repeat "Birthday Celebration"! With everyone's busy and hectic schedule all year; being able to come together as family for some much-needed down time was sheer bliss at it's finest. With the quiet solitude afforded by the cabin's location, we were all able to reconnect with each other and build some more great memories! Thanks again, John for offering your cabin for our enjoyment. Blessings always!
My family and I decided to celebrate my birthday this year in the mountains and boy were we ever glad we did!! This cabin and the surrounding area is exactly as described on the VRBO site. John is exceptional in making the rental process a breeze. While our son and granddaughter were playing in the creek one afternoon, I commented to my husband that this was just like watching my favorite movie!! If you like the beauty and serenity of nature, this is the place for you. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and more than met our family's need to "get away from it all". It looks like we will be making this destination my new birthday tradition!!
We were in Clarkesville attending a wedding at Glen-Ella Springs Inn. Found this jewel on VRBO. What a find. Owner was great to work with. The cabin and the property it sits on is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the screened deck listening to the sound of running water in the creek. Sitting around a fire in the fire pit listening to the sound of running water in the creek. Catching and releasing trout from the creek. Did I mention how relaxing it was listening to the sound of the running water in the creek. Rent this cabin. You will not be disappointed. We look forward to a return and extended stay.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed this property for a long weekend. The property is beautful and peaceful. The stream is amazing, as are the fireflies at dusk. Our three kids LOVED playing in the creek and just exploring the property. It was a nice way to "recharge" and "unplug" and we hope to come back again soon. The owner is very accomodating. We enjoyed Tallulah Gorge and Mark of the Potter but tried to maximize our time at the cabin to enjoy the natural beauty.
Our long weekend at this property was perfect! The screened porch was a front row seat for the beautiful music played by the creek. The owner was kind enough to stock firewood for the wood stove inside. The outdoor fire pit is huge and very inviting. We saw deer late in the afternoons in the meadow by the creek. It was peaceful and very comfortable. One hint...take all the groceries you will need for your stay! You can't run to the corner store for coffee. That made it more attractive to me!
