Ski season: If you have already started looking for ski season, this home is one of the few houses that have direct access to the slopes. Although not a tru ski in/ski out, the house sets above tyro ski slope. You can watch the skiers go by from the house and when ready, walk across from house for direct access. Please see pictures of house and captions which show direct relation from house to slopes

We are having a blast. Lots of snow and great skiing. Girls want to stay another day.
Love the house. Comfortable and in a great spot!
Thanks so much.
After a late winter snow, made it up to the mountain for the last weekend of skiing. Conditions were great and family had a blast. Easy access to slope from house and home was furnished better than one would expect for rental. One minor issue with pilot light in fireplace but owner quickly coached me through it. Overall nice and would recommend
Please don't be fooled by the description of where this house is located. It's well beyond "only steps". It's had a little work done to it but far from "luxurious". The kitchen is sparse to say the least. Couldn't even find a can opener. I e-mailed the owner immediately about the grill. Which is well beyond it's years and should have been replaced a long time ago. He promised a new grill the next day...never showed! I wouldn't go back.
The property is wonderfully cozy and great for a small-medium size group. There are games and movies provided for when you aren't on the slopes, ensuring that you always have something to do. A grill on the front porch was perfect for a small cookout. There is also easy access onto Tyro, which is great especially if you have your own gear. We had a few electrical difficulties that were fixed with a few messages with the property owner, who is very responsive. Just a warning, if you have to reset the hot tub, it takes half a day to filter before you can actually use it. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend and I would certainly rent this property again!
We have a house near this rental and used the rental for other family members for thanksgiving. Everyone really enjoyed the place. Very quaint. Definitely needs wifi.
My mom and dad both have November birthdays so my boyfriend and I invited them and my brother for a long weekend to celebrate. The google maps through the HomeAway app sent us to 112 squirrel tree for some reason so looking further into the address we found 81 but that was confusing. The steps going up to the cabin were steep and uneven and my dad has a bad hip and bringing luggage up was a challenge. The keypad that they say opens the door with a code is on the door with the storm door in front of it which I didn't find until trying to open the other door that you get to first with a keypad entry. That was frustrating but after finding that we went right in and found the cabin to be very clean and cozy. The tv was hard to work in the living room and the loft tv never did work for us. There were lightbulbs missing from some of the lighting in the house but that was just a minor detail. It was well equipped with wine glasses and kitchen items and the living room was very comfortable and the gas logs were nice to look at while sat around sipping cocktails. The beds were very comfy and the bedrooms had plenty of storage for your belongings. If you plan on staying here make sure no one in your group has issues with going up steps to get into the cabin it's not ideal and mostly covered with leaves which made it slippery. Other than that it was very nice.
