Nicest location in Punta Cana

Having spent a month in Punta Cana in 5 of the last 6 years I am convinced that Playa Turquesa is the nicest complex in the area.My family and I,4 adults and a teenager,thoroughly enjoyed this great three bedroom unit and Punta Cana seems to have more to offer every time I return.Liz,the property manager and resident herself,is always readily available to answer questions and resolve any problems that might arise.Thanks for a great vacation!

Clean, Comfortable, beautiful grounds and beach!

The condo is everything you see in the pictures and more. What a lovely place and a great spot for our family of 4. Our trip begins and ends with Liz, the property manager. From our initial online inquiry through to arrival, Liz was prompt and professional in answering all of questions. She even greeted us upon arrival with a welcoming hug for the whole family which put us in the right mode to begin our vacation! Liz also made sure to arrange Alex, our driver to and from the airport. Insist on having Alex for your driving arrangements...he is so friendly and funny that the drive felt like only 5 minutes long. The condo itself is clean, spacious, and comfortable with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths...tons of room for our family and nice that everyone had their own bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with stainless steel appliances and everything you'd need to prepare any meal. The large balcony has a great view of the ocean and grounds. The pathway to the beach is scenic and takes less than 2 minutes from condo to waters edge. Close enough to hear the waves at night! The condo is also less than 2 minutes walk to a whole host of restaurants, outdoor bars, bistros, and grocery stores. Be sure and try "Citrus" restaurant. Awesome menu and decent prices. We also found that the 24-hr security detail was thorough that we felt safe at all times. It really is a great place to mingle with the locals and enjoy the area together. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Be sure and contact Liz to help you with all your vacation planning. You will find her prompt, professional, and very easy to work with. We will definitely be back!

A good value

Unit could use additional updating ( i.e. more dressers, larger TV). Location was great. Liz was always available and very accommodating and always ready to listen and help.

Comfortable and well located Condo

The condo and the amenities were as described in the listing and well maintained.

Liz, the manager, was very professional and helpful in recommending restaurants and local attractions. The English-speaking taxi driver Alex, recommended by Liz, was very pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed the day-trip (including the fresh lobster BBQ on the Macao beach) with him.

Wonderful trip

My family (my husband and I, two daughters - age 21&23), and my father and his wife) spent 10 days in this 2nd floor condo. The condo is located in the "N" building which is in the middle of the complex. Perfect view of pool and beach. The condo is large and included: 3 beds and 3 baths, nice size family room, patio, air conditioning, washer and dryer, private wifi, cable, tankless hot water and a gas grill. The kitchen was well outfitted for cooking and included a 5 gallon water cooler/dispenser. There is not a dishwasher but we knew that before we booked. Plenty of thick bath towels and beach towels. It was very clean when we arrived and was kept that way by the wonderful maid we hired at a very reasonable price. Liz (rental manager) was fabulous from the first inquiry I sent. She was quick to respond to my numerous questions. She arranged for a private van service (Alex the driver) whenever we needed transportation (airport and trip to Macao beach). It was great to have Liz so close by - she lives in the complex. Whenever I needed something or had a question, I emailed her. Mia the swim up bartender was a joy. Very sweet and aimed to please. Edwar (lives in the complex) arranged for a catamaran excursion to Saona island (absolutely gorgeous) and even joined us for the day and provided transportation and picture taking. There are several nice restaurants close by. We really enjoyed d'angelos pizza, citrus and belicana. The grocery prices are about the same as USA. Restaurants were $10-15 a meal. Very reasonable. There is a small grocery store on premises and is a little pricey but we stocked up mostly at the big grocery store on the way to the condo from the airport (Alex will make a stop for an extra $10). We only used the air conditioning at night. We went over the electricity allowance by about $7 day but that was due to heavy washer and dryer use. We packed light.

I only have a couple of recommendations for the condo which I shared with Liz before I left. The furniture is lovely, but the couch and love seat need thicker cushions. The beds were firm and I recommended foam toppers.

The Dominican people were very nice to us even though we we did not speak Spanish. If they did not speak English, they would find someone who did. They really seemed to care about good service. I encourage you to tip well on your trip. Their wages are extremely low and they work very hard.

Beautiful apartment and beach

We, 4 adults, spent a week in this apartment. The apartment is as shown in the pictures. It is a spacious 3 bedroom 3 baths with quality furniture, comfortable beds, well equipped, cable TV and Wifi, air conditioning, a lovely terrace and a beautiful view towards the pool and the ocean. The beach is private. Even though we were there during high season there were always beach chairs available. There is also a beach bar which is run by a couple of friendly Colombians. The building is located in the middle of the complex and has an elevator. We had all the windows open during the day with a nice breeze and used the ceiling fans at night. Even though we used the washer and dryer several times, we were far from exceeding the 100 $ electricity which were included in the rent. Liz, the apartment manager, was very helpful in all respects. She is easy to reach and gave us all sorts of useful tips. Check-in and check-out was easy. We had a couple of minor problems which her husband Silverio fixed right away. There is a convinience store on the premises and several restaurants right outside the complex. We had a rental car. Otherwise Liz would have organized a driver for us to move around Punta Cana. If you are not planning on traveling very far, this is an option to keep in mind since car rentals are very expensive. Be prepared to pay European/U.S. prices everywhere. I highly recommend staying at this apartment. Thank you Liz and Silverio.
