Wonderful Time At Sioux Lodge in Big Sky!

  • 5 of 5

All three families had a wonderful stay in Big Sky. The Sioux Lodge helped make for a most enjoyable experience while there.

We have stayed in condos and homes in FL, ME, CO AND CA and none were as nicely appointed as Sioux Lodge. The furnishings, lay out arrangement and extras were greatly

appreciated. Having everything we needed in the kitchen was well appreciated by all, especially our son in law, who is a chief. We also thank you for ample paper goods, towels, and extras , lIke bag chairs, gas grill, binoculars, telescope and current reading materials.

Please express our appreciation to the owners and our thanks for sharing their

lovely home with them.

Lovely setting, great home

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 10 stayed in Sioux lodge during a glorious Big Sky week in July. The home was very nice and was accurate based on the photographs. The view was perfect, the location was very convenient to our activities, and the beds were very comfortable! All of the stocked bathrooms, the stocked laundry room, stocked pantry (even trash bags) and oils/spices/condiments were a welcomed surprise for a rental home.

Only down sides were things that can be easily resolved!

1. The refrigerator ice maker and water was not hooked up properly. We had to make an ice run every few days.

2. The downstairs showers were difficult to keep regulated.

3. Need more towels for the hot tub.

Thanks for a great week at Sioux lodge.

Most amazing vacation ever

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we opened the door the cabin was perfect. The views were breathtaking and the cabin was clean and comfortable. We had it maxed out with people however we never felt cramped since the layout was well thought out. The Big sky area was amazing, the locals were friendly, the food was great (make sure you go to bugaboo for breakfast) and there was so much to do you would never get bored between the nearby resort activities and the surrounding national forests and national parks which have a lifetime of hiking available. We have traveled a lot over the years and this was by far our best vacation and we plan on visiting the area more in the future.

Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the lodge for a family vacation and wedding (we did not have the wedding at the lodge). We fell in love with the lodge, there were 10 of us and we had plenty of room for everyone. The view of the mountain from the decks is spectacular, mule deer in the yard everyday, a cow moose with her calf grazed in the willow field across the street. So much to do close by, it has something for everyone. I would definitely go back and highly recommend. I also have to say Sue was very helpful and so easy to work with, I just love the lodge.

Magnificent accommodation all around

  • 5 of 5

The view is spectacular and the accommodations convenient and comfortable. The home is well stocked for the needs of entertaining a group and the owners are very helpful and accommodating. We were in Big Sky for our son's wedding and hosted several pre and post wedding functions to the pleasure of all. We enjoyed white water rafting, hiking, and lots of the activities around the Huntley Lodge. Our favorite restaurants were Olive B's, Blue Moon Cafe and Andiamos. Absolutely loved the area for a summer vacation having only visited to ski in the past. We are planning to make this a more frequent vacation destination and Sioux Lodge will be our first choice of lodging. Thank you to the owners for making this available to accommodate all of our needs for this special occasion!!

Big Sky Ski Resort
Car: necessary

Skiing: Big Sky Resort, Spanish Peaks, and Moonlight Basin combine to create a ski resort of more than 5,750 acres of ski-able terrain, with 4350 vertical feet, 23 chairlifts and 10 surface lifts, making it truly the 'Biggest Skiing in America.' (more than Jackson Hole, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Vail, Deer Valley and Squaw Valley)

There is excellent beginner and intermediate terrain plus we are ranked top 5 for extreme terrain. We have 400 plus inches of dry, light powder each year, excellent gladed runs, and virtually NO LIFT LINES even during our peak holiday times. Moonlight's trail network's predominantly north-facing exposure ensures that snow will stay dry and fluffy. Most of our guests find that they can ski different runs each day if they desire with short lift lines and mountains all to themselves!

Golf: Two world class golf courses in Big Sky - Moonlight Basin Jack Nicklaus Signature Course and Spanish Peak's Tom Weiskopf designed course.

Yellowstone National Park: Big Sky is only a short drive away to the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, and offers great activities, comfortable uncrowded lodging and a variety of restaurants.

Fly Fishing: Choose from five blue-ribbon trout streams in Southwestern Montana - including Big Sky's Gallatin River. Other legendary rivers nearby are the Madison, Big Hole, Yellowstone and Missouri.
