• Please Note: This unit is across the river from the Portland Int'l Airport; a civil-military airport. The Air National Guard flies their F-15's out of this airport Monday - Friday in the morning & afternoon. Commercial airlines follow mandated FAA noise abatement procedures, and from my experience, air traffic stops between the hours of 11:30pm & 6am. The Burlington Northern Railroad runs right by this complex; they are slow moving cargo trains and there is no 'whistle stop' anywhere near. This is a 3 story condo with two flights of stairs. Please see the detailed layout diagram in the photos section.

To hold your future date a $100 payment is collected. This amount is non-refundable, but will go against your total rental cost. This is paid at the time that the rental agreement is signed and submitted.
50% of the remaining balance is due 4 weeks prior to check-in and the final payment due 2 weeks prior to check-in.

I purchased this home as a place for my family to go vacation. My 4 boys love the Pacific Northwest, as do I. I wanted to move to WA state for many years, but cannot at this time, so this condo serves as my connection.
I chose to buy this condo because it is central to everything in the area. Within a 2 hour drive, you have volcanoes, skiing and the beach! Downtown Vancouver is within walking distance. I love their farmers market, outdoor concerts in the summer and 2nd hand/vintage stores. I also can pop over the bridge to Portland for awesome restaurants, the Portland Saturday Market, Portland Int'l Raceway, the Zoo, and TAX FREE shopping.
We just wanted to thank you for allowing us to stay in you very well appointed & comfortably decorated Condo. You have a great spot on the river, we loved our evening walks. It was a convenient location for us. It took only 5 minutes to reach our family in Hazel Dell. I loved the huge Fred Meyers store down the road and the Downtown farmers market a short distance away was great. Also, you worked up an excellent tenant package listing all local resources, directions, map & check out list. It was very helpful.
~ A well equipped kitchen & all appliances worked well.
~ plenty of towels, bedding, blankets, etc.
~ Plenty of storage & drawer space
~ A Very comfortable bed in the master bedroom.
~ Great entertainment center, TVs & WiFi. We never tried the stereo. It was nice to be able to access the Internet throughout the living space.
~ A Large living space, Couches & chairs were more than comfortable.
~ I liked the electronic entry on the front door.
~ We used the pool and spa with our toddler granddaughter. She had great fun.
~ A very reasonable price.
~ The unit was very clean; No smoke, No pets
THE NOT SO GOOD:
~ The Navy jets that take off from Portland Intn'l Airport across the river at 9 & noon were loud and there were a couple of barking dogs throughout the complex. We got used to the noise and both slept well after a couple nights. We live on 11 secluded acres where we hear nothing except the occasional coyote howl or owl hoot. This may have given for an unfair comparison!
~ Lots of stairs -Not a good idea for anyone with disabilities, but I actually think it did a bit to strengthen my quads!
~ Beds - the twin beds in the 2nd bedroom are suitable for children & young adults.
Our second visit to this condo and again were very satisfied! Karol may be the ultimate host as the condo is very clean and well stocked for daily living. It has very accurate information about the use of the condo and how to enjoy the area. The grandkids loved all the board games provided! (Remember this is a 3 story unit). When away from home it is important to feel comfortable and safe and this unit does both. Next time we are in the Vancouver area, this would be our first choice to stay.
My wife and I stayed there for 12 days in August 2105. Karol gives excellent information and instructions. The location was perfect! We were warned about train and airplane noise but neither bothered us. I think it is a little weird that the bathrooms are only on one floor but we knew that going in. You get two bedrooms, two bathrooms A GARAGE for less then a decent hotel room. Why would you go somewhere else?
While there is always something petty to complain about, we will come back and recommend this unit, and Karol, to our friends and family. We had a great stay!!!!
We had a memorable family Christmas in this lovely condo. The owner was very helpful and pleasant. The description on the website was accurate. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The instructions left in the 3 ring binder were very helpful. The condo was very conveniently located close to the river, downtown Vancouver and local restaurants as well as the shopping center. We had 4 adults staying there and there was ample room when our grandchildren who live nearby came by for lunch or a walk on the river. We loved the fact that it had an attached garage!
Since our children and grandchildren live nearby, we hope to come back again.
Dealing with the owner (Karol) was a pleasant experience. The property was exactly as described. The condo was clean, well equipped, and walking distance to everthing you could ever want. The attached garage was a pleasant bonus not found in most other rentals. Be sure to take in a sunset from the I-5 pedestrian bridge walkway.
The description of this condo was very accurate on the website and from the owner herself. We didn't mind the stairs (we're both 60) and noise from the train and planes. The place is clean and organized and had everything you would want for a week or longer stay. I liked the fact that you knew where to put things back since the cupboards were labeled.
The owner was great to work with and responded in a timely manner to our questions.
This was our 2nd stay in this condo. Our last visit was in August 2012. I wrote a review that's still accurate, but the place seemed even better this time. Very clean, nicely maintained, especially well-stocked and well-organized. Spacious and comfortable, in a pleasant complex with a great location. Some airplane noise, but not during the night. Enjoyed seeing the trains go by...again, not much sound at night. The stairs could be a negative for some, but we're an older couple and found them good exercise. Wonderful walks along the river, excellent restaurants nearby. Karol is easy to work with, provides plenty of information, and quickly responds to any communication. Hope to return.
Lots of activites within driving distance: Snow skiiing at Mr. Hood, the beaches of the Oregon/Washington Coast, some of the finest windsurfing in Hood River, OR, Mt. Saint Helens volcano, the Columbia River Hydro Electic plant fish ladder salmon spawning facility. Moultnomah Falls in Oregon, Moulton Falls in WA and tons of local parks and outdoor recreation areas, WA & OR wine countries.
