We are pet friendly and do not charge a pet fee. Pets are part of the family, and our many repeat guests are responsible pet owners as well as non pet owners who love our private, relaxing, well furnished and reasonably priced condominium.
Sandpoint is one of the nation's most interesting, beautiful small towns. You and your family can walk, bike, or drive into town to enjoy all that it has to offer, but when you're ready to come home for the night you'll enjoy quiet nights in a planned residential wetlands community where cars drive slowly and people passing by wave at one another. Yes we have mosquitoes in the summer; we also have deer, beaver, osprey, great blue heron, muskrat, and the occasional moose (and a bear if you're lucky enough to see--I've never seen one in Dover).
Or stay in Dover--rent a kayak from the walking-distance marina and explore the miles of wetlands, river, and lake; rent a boat or bring your own and keep it at the Dover Bay marina; enjoy a fabulous night out at the restaurant Dish with its waterfront outside dining (within walking distance from our condo). Enjoy a leisurely walk along one of the many trails following the wetlands, waterfront park, and river. Don't be surprised if you see blue herons, beaver, deer, osprey, bald eagles, and even an occasional moose.
Dover Bay is a 285-acre planned community, over half of which is set aside as undeveloped open space. It's private and quiet but not isolated.
We take pride in providing our guests with nearly everything they need to relax, cook gourmet meals, and spend quality family time together. And family to us includes pets. As pet owners ourselves, we know that responsible pet owners make sure their pets are healthy, up-to-date on shots, altered, and well behaved, which is why we do not require a separate pet fee. People who love and travel with their pets are, in our experience, the best guests. In over eight years of renting to pet owners, we’ve never once had an issue with a guest and his or her pet, which is why we also attract guests who do not travel with their pets as well. No one—pet owners or not—wants to stay in a home that reeks of pee, is infested with fleas, or shows the wear and tear of irresponsible pet owners.

We are a family of three who live in Spokane, WA. Both my husband and I are teachers. We stay in our condo during the ski season, so we 'test drive' all of our appliances, linens, kitchen utensils, etc. and replace and add as needed. We want you to enjoy your stay as much as we do.

Wildlife viewing, walking trails, close location to Schweitzer and Sandpoint, ID. Great biking, hiking, active art community, beautiful location. Quiet but not isolated--you do have neighbors and are in a planned community. If you love nature, you'll love our place. No loud trains, no outdoor parties or partiers to keep you up at night (although the osprey chicks in the late spring and summer might be a bit loud if you leave the deck patio door open).
See moose, deer, beavers, osprey, eagles, and other wildlife. Quiet, little traffic, easy walking trails, paved biking/walking trail, privacy, sunny, comfortable and extra clean. Dover is a family friendly planned community set in wetlands-if you enjoy nature and wild animals, you'll love our place' however, we're not isolated--you have neighbors and are not alone.
We also update often--in Jan of 2017 we purchased a larger and new flatscreen television, a new media center, and a spotting scope for viewing wildlife.
My wife Peggy and I spent a month at Rachel's condo in Dover Bay. The photos give a very accurate depiction of the condo. It is very clean and has everything we needed for our stay. We loved the walking and biking trails. We got a membership to the club so we could use the swimming pool and hot tub and that was well worth it. The condo was quiet and comfortable. We felt right at home and hope that we can stay there again in the future. It was an excellent experience for us.
Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay in Dover Bay. The condo provided plenty of room for the kids with a bunk bed and a double/queen bed. The unit itself was well equiped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The gorgeous views from the balcony were a nice treat and the short walk/bike to the beach was ideal. There are plenty of nice short walking/biking paths right out the front door. Overall it was a great stay and we would consider doing it again.
Dover Bay is wonderful location. The condo overlooks a calm and beautiful water location which has the forest like background we appreciate. Their is numerous walking trails. The location eatery is quite good. It is adjacent to the lovely town of Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille. The unit is well equipped with everything a couple or full family would need. It is tastefully decorated. It is comfortable and clean. The owners directions are easy to understand and follow.
We loved this condo, my husband now refers to it as his happy place! Very peaceful and relaxing! Wonderful views, beautiful walking trails, great wildlife viewing, close to swimming beaches and parks. The condo itself is very well appointed, beautifully decorated, extremely clean, and includes everything you need in the kitchen. We really loved this place and can't wait to stay here again!
We stayed here 1 week in April. The location is great, very close to town. The view from the balcony is amazing! All the geese, birds, and mountains. It was very modern and clean, would stay here again.
Dover Bay is a planned residential resort community set on 285 acres, most of which are set aside for wetlands, parks, and trails. It is a quiet, tranquil development safe for kids to play and ideal for quiet nature walks. Roads are plowed when one inch or more of snow falls. It is conveniently located three miles from Sandpoint, Idaho where there are many shops, galleries, and water sports. Schweitzer's park and ride lot is located about 20 minutes drive, or if you want to drive all the way to the top yourself it will take you a bit less than 45 minutes. 35 miles to Silverwood, Idaho's largest theme park; easy access to outstanding hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Easy driving distance to Sandpoint Music Festival.

Lost keys: while we have a keyless front door, there is a key for the garage and a garage door remote. Lost garage key not replaced within three business days are charged a $35.00 fee.
Lost/missing garage door opener is a non-refundable $100 fee to have a locksmith replace and recode.
