Beautiful Semi-Water Front Home located in Davis Bay in the Sunshine Coast, spectacular view of the Strait of Georgia, 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, large kitchen, dinning room, two flatscreen tvs, gas fireplace, close to all amenities: swimming, kayaking, crabbing, hiking etc. Complete kitchen with dishes, Bathroom with towels and bedrooms with beddings. Fully furnished. Minimum required stay is 2 nights, rent rates is $250.00 per night or $1200 per week plus $25.00/each person per night .

This house was an ideal fit for our family of 4 adults & 4 children. An abundance of room and beds for everyone! Beautiful large kitchen that we were able to use for all of our meals. House was totally clean & I am fussy. Home is in an ideal location as it is approximately 20 minutes from Gibsons and 15 minutes from Sechelt. An IGA grocery store is a 2 minute drive from the home and the wharf is a 5 minute walk from the house. Besides being comfortable - we also felt totally safe in this house & neighbourhood. This too, is important to me. We would return in a heart beat and hope to do so in the future. Thank you Anthony for your home and for your quick response to any questions that I had.
Nine friends looking for a weekend out of the city to celebrate a birthday. The location was wonderful and the house super spacious. The description was accurate and Anthony called me within an hour of requesting the property. He was very helpful and available whenever I had questions. He advised that linens, towels and dishwashing soap were provided, but aside from that we needed to bring everything else. So as long as you keep that in mind when packing you should be good (things such as hand soap for bathrooms, salt & pepper for food, laundry detergent if planning to do laundry.) The property was clean and well maintained, but the beds were a little springy. I would 100% recommend the property to friends and would love to come back again! There is a bakery 2 mins walk from the house that sells an excellent turkey/cranberry/brie sandwich, along with many other baked goods :) Bought lunch there then walked out to the end of the pier nearby to eat our food. Also drove to Cliff Gliker Park, about 10 mins from the house. It's a leisurely walk with multiple loops. Max distance is a few kms. But very pretty with a few waterfalls.
There was plenty of space for our extended family. Nice large family room open from the second floor with water view. Place was very clean. Easy access using keypad. We were able to check-in early. Great central location right across Davis Bay. All amenities are close by. We ran out of toilet paper and propane during our stay. Bring extra toilet paper and your own paper towels, cling wrap, aluminum foil, toiletries, iron and hair dryer. Towels and bedding are provided.
We had a group of 12 with 5 kids and we had a blast here. Anthony is a very friendly and helpful owner, there was some issue with the tub although it didn't get fix during our stay but he tried his best to help us as much as possible. The living room is really spacious, the kitchen is big as well. Very easy access to the pier where you can drop crab traps and do some light fishing. This house is at a centralized location and we can get everywhere with ease. We are planning to come back already! Anthony, thank you very much! We've enjoyed our stay at Sunshine Coast very much!
The house it's self was pretty beautiful.. I wasn't expecting it to be completely finished after ready other reviews before booking. However, I agree the stairs and the closets need to be completed, it would be nice to have some place to hang your clothes.
My biggest concern would be the level of cleanliness. Myself and my sister spent two hours cleaning the house before unpacking. The floors and bedding were clean and that's about it. Walls had food on them, inside windows and mirrors had children's handprints, tubs were dirty, bath mats and table cloths looked like they had never been cleaned, baseboards were so filthy, floors needed to be leaned after rearranging cotts, the bbq was a total mess... It was a discouraging way to start our holiday. We were only left with two old sponges for dishwashing and two clothes for 5 days. The beds were surpremely uncomfortable and should be upgraded. A few more serving dishes would be beneficial and new frying pans are a must. The master bedroom fan was broken. After seeing the property is forsale I'm sure these things won't change. The one positive thing is the view is wonderful and it's a great location. We ended up enoying our time but would not stay again unless upgrades were made and a new cleaning company (?) were used.
The house met our expectations and beyond. The best feature was how spacious the living room was. There was plenty of space for the kids to bond, while the adults have their own space in the backyard. The house was very bright and there was plenty of sun during the day. There were nice big windows in the living room which showed, at times, the breath taking view of the water.
Location was key for our stay, and this house was on a perfect spot.
I can't really say anything negative about this house, other than the toilet downstairs at times flushed slowly, most of the time it would work though. The owner was very accommodating and open. Every time we had a question or needed something, he was available.
We highly recommend this house, in fact we will book this house again in the future.
