Close to 30 facades restorations of downtown buildings will be accomplished by the end of 2012 through public/private partnerships with JRC. The Alley Enhancement Program, another public/private partnership resulted in the enhancement of five alleyways in the downtown core, making them more attractive and safe for pedestrian traffic. In one of the alleys, JRC worked with Jamestown Community College and Jamestown High School to create a public art installation called Potters gallery. In 2010, JRC spearheaded the demolition of a deteriorated movie theater, the Wintergarden Theater, and converted the space into an attractive public downtown park.
