We just returned from a week at Seahorse Villa and realizing how fortunate we were to spend our family vacation in such an amazing place. Pictures simply do not do Seahorse Villa justice. The views from the balcony are simply stunning. The water is such a beautiful blue. We would actually stand on the balcony and count the number of sea turtles that we could spot swimming in the bay in front of the house. The last day, I even tried to see if I could go 5 minutes without spotting a turtle - couldn't do it. And it only gets better when you actually get in the water. It was amazing to find such stunning, healthy coral immediately in front of the house, and the sea life was tremendous. We saw numerous turtles (a little further out in the grass), several eagle rays, a couple of octopus, numerous sting rays and fish of every shape, size and color. We also found that there was more, and less skittish sea life in front of the house than in other areas we snorkeled around the island, which we attributed to the area being within the protected nature preserve, which is saying something because the sea life around Culebra is spectacular. As for the villa itself, incredible. Spacious, brilliantly appointed, with high-end finish throughout. The kitchen is great and suited for cooking whatever you choose. And Litza even had the refrigerator and pantry stocked with groceries when we arrived! The perfect place for our family of 6 with room to spare. I would also note that the air conditioning for the little time that you are inside during the day and at night for sleeping was awesome. As for the master bath - unbelievable. More shower heads than I have ever seen and with a perfectly private corner window overlooking the ocean. Wow. The outdoor area is the place to be with two great balcony's, an infinity pool and landscaped and decorated like a luxury beach resort - except this was just for us. Note that Culebra itself is not a hustling and bustling action packed island. As we were told it operates on "Culebra time", which is slow and relaxed, moreso than other places we have visited. We loved it, and if you are looking simply to relax, unwind, enjoy beautiful beaches and views, Seahorse villa in Culebra is spectacular. perfect sunsets between the hills on the Luis Pena Preserve Island - the best!! We loved this place. Thank you Litza!!! p.s.....be sure to star gaze at night!! (shooting stars, satellites, constellations & the MILKY way!!
We just came back to reality (home & work) after spending 4 fantastic nights at Seahorse Village. I warn you that anything I share with you on this review will not be enough to describe the high level of satisfaction my family and I experienced during my stay. The moment you take a left turn and start driving down the property pathway the mix of plush "Flamboyanes" and the gorgeous blue ocean view will make you stop whatever you were doing and just stare at true raw beauty. Everything in the house, from its architecture, decor, views and equipment is suited for the demanding and discriminating eye of a premium vacationer. The owners were really helpful before and during our stay, thanks to both Litza and Ralph for your hospitality. We will definitively be back for more, I highly recommend this property.
The seahorse villa was simply amazing! It was like staying a 5 star resort and less than 5 minutes to town! There were direct views of the ocean from every room. Our family really enjoyed staying in the house.
We were also able to snorkel right in front of the property on Melones Beach. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Culebra. The owner of the house Litza was very accommodating and provided helpful information for our stay. We can't wait to return to paradise...
As beautiful as the pictures are - they still don't do this home justice, our family of seven spent an incredible week in Culebra. Ever morning we woke to stunning views and ever night we watched the sun set from the infinity edge pool! The best snorkeling reef on the island is a quick 500 yard walk from the Villa. Litza not only makes you feel right at home, she has great "local" knowledge. The island of Culebra is an undiscovered gem, we have gone to many islands and it is by far one of the most beautiful, charming, peaceful places on earth. Thanks for opening up your home to us! Love the Art work too!
This property is just amazing, so are the owners! The listing is spot accurate, there is no shortage of amenities, and it was very clean. Liza, the owner was very helpful in our travel arrangements, and was present when we arrived. The only thing I regret is not staying longer!
The place was better than expected. The kids did not want to leave the pool. Plenty of room. Well maintained. Well equipped. The owner met us at the marina and brought us to the house. We've stayed on a number of islands. This was our first time at Culebra and is now one of our favorites. It's not over developed. We enjoyed the beaches, and the food. We dined at Zacos Tacos, The Dingy Dock, and Flamenco beach.
