This newly updated and beautifully appointed home has a great-room/gourmet kitchen, a dining room, 4 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms, plus an outdoor shower for those coming back from the beach. The outdoor patio has a soothing fountain and is situated in a private garden with many trees, blooming shrubs and colorful flowers. One can see the love that the owners have put into the house and you will find it a restful oasis after a day at the beach or on the water. The property has two to three parking spaces. It is within walking distance to Perkins Cove and the Marginal Way, where you can get a trolley to the beach.
This home was a lovely and peaceful place to spend time in Ogunquit. Four of us ladies stayed here in early September 2016. It looks small when you drive up, but don't worry -- it is "bigger on the inside." The house is mostly one-story, with only one bedroom on the second floor. The great room living/dining/kitchen area is a terrific place to hang out and is beautifully decorated -- love the stone tile wall in the kitchen! We also enjoyed the beautiful patio and garden area. Perkins Cove, Marginal Way and some great restaurants are within walking distance -- MC and Barnacle Billy's are the best! This house is highly recommended for a relaxing Maine vacation.
The property was exactly as described in the listing. Wonderful living room/ kitchen and nice dining area. The walk to Perkins Cove was convenient which allowed us to now always have to pay for parking. We would definitely rent here again.
It was a home that catered to all ages. From babies to older individuals, the house was perfect for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay again.
Our family of 7 had an absolutely perfect stay here. The entire house and grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained. We felt as if we we had walked into a magazine spread. The kitchen was both beautiful and well-stocked with equipment, and there were plenty of outdoor sitting/eating/relaxing areas.
It was a pleasant half-mile walk to Perkins cove and the marginal way. We had access to all we wanted but were far from the crowds.
In short, it was perfect!
Our family stayed at this property for a week in July. The house was even more beautiful than pictured online. The living area and kitchen boast amazing decorations in a wide open space for everyone to sit and relax. The outside is landscaped to perfection so we could sit and enjoy the summer nights. The house is close enough to enjoy morning walks on Marginal Way or evening shopping trips to Perkins Cove. There is also a trolley stop close enough to bring you into Town. The property manager checked in on us to ensure that we had everything that we needed. We have nothing but love for this property ... it created amazing vacation memories for our family and we are thrilled to enjoy it again in 2015. - The Perry Family
Our group stayed at this property for 3 nights in October. Ogunquit is absolutely gorgeous during this time of the year. A very trendy and picturesque little town with great restaurants and boutique shops. A must visit in your bucket list. Our group consisted of 3 couples. Susan, the property manager, was very helpful in giving us directions and even left the lights on for us for a late arrival. The house itself is very pretty and clean, we loved the kitchen and had a lot of fun cooking our Maine Lobsters there. The master bedroom is gorgeous and very comfortable. The draw backs I would say are, there are 2 bathrooms but only one shower . The Master is the only room with a large bed. If you are only one couple with kids that would work but if you are more than one couple prepare to sleep separately in single beds or very tight in a double bed. The house is located just down the street from Perkins Cove and Marginal Way but still set back far enough for privacy if that is what you're looking for.
Ogunquit is a seaside resort town whose name means 'beautiful place by the sea' and it certainly lives up to its name! Enjoy the three miles of white sands beach separated from a sea river by pristine dunes. Or take a walk along the Marginal Way, a path that meanders along the granite cliffs overlooking the crashing waves. Or stroll around Perkins Cove where you can get lobsters, chowder, shop or walk across the hand-operated foot bridge. Summer enthusiasts will find all types of summer activities like kayaking, body surfing, whale watching, fishing, sailing, hiking, and biking. There are many great restaurants, galleries, boutiques and shops, as well as the Ogunquit Playhouse where theater lovers will not be disappointed.
