About Erika Pellegrino
My husband and I are an adventurous and energetic couple with 2 children living mainly in Austin Texas. We chose Montepulciano as our second home in the Winter/Spring because we love the country, traveling, enjoy food and wine and of course: sightseeing. When we travel, we try to immerse ourselves in the local culture. We have successfully done that in this lovely town and we are ever so lucky to discover more and more amazing wonderful places in each of our journeys that we gladly share with our guests in our insider's guide.
Erika Pellegrino purchased this House in 2010
Why Erika Pellegrino chose Montepulciano
Montepulciano is a fantastic town in the heart of Tuscany, which has so much to offer: Views, food, wine, renaissance, art and history. The people of Montepulciano are so friendly that you instantly feel at home there. Because it is centrally located in the region, you can use our house as a perfect springboard to discover many other cities and points of interest in Tuscany. So many popular towns are close by and worth discovering thru a short drive.
What makes this House unique
There is nothing better than to sit down with a glass of wine and see these breathtaking views. The town of Montepulciano has so much history and all the wonderful small towns around it, are so unique. One would never get bored while staying there.

Casa Pelligrino Review
This is a wonderful property! Amazing views, close to town, a true Tuscan experience. Montepulciano has many things to do and see. You can easily walk to everything. We truly enjoyed our time here. The owner is very easy to work with and very responsive to any questions - she even had a bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival. If you are looking for a perfect place in Tuscany, this is it!

Beautiful scenes and a little chilly
Grazie Mille!! I’m so sorry sometimes the weather just doesn’t cooperate:( but I hear you had a great time nonetheless on those gorgeous terraces!!:) (you saw the extra blankets we have for such days) and that the heating we turned on for you as an exception made for a cozy stay in the end. All the best on your future travels still and until next time!
Amazing views, lovely home
We loved our stay at Casa Pellegrino. The views are just gorgeous - even from the bathrooms! The house is very comfortable and well-stocked; though we didn't end up cooking here, it would certainly have had everything we needed. The house was the perfect base for our explorations into the lovely Val d'Orcia and for strolling the streets of Montepulciano. We appreciated Erika's many recommendations and attention to detail. I was just sad that rain kept us from spending more time on the patio/balconies.
Beautiful Views. Lovely home.
The views of the deck are spectacular and Erika's home was very comfortable and clean. It is a short hike up to the town gate and about a 15-20 minute walk around the village to a big grocery. There was plenty of space for a larger group - 7 twins, a queen and a couch, 2 baths. Erika provides a huge document with insight into area amenities and attractions. We would stay again. Thanks.
I first off, want to say it was a pleasure having you and your group as our guests. It is so wonderful when all the work that goes into sharing your home is rewarded by someone paying attention to those details and mentioning it. The magnificent views are definitely First on the list for most travelers, second is the closeness to the heart of the city for all the food, entertainment and small convenience and drug stores - but as you mentioned even For bigger shopping it’s doable on foot. Not everyone realizes that thanks to the PRIME location of the house —those two are already accounted for, YET you still get space and al the comforts which let’s Face it can be a challenge in such popular Central locations and we out a lot of effort to ensure that was the case - which I know, that came in handy when the weather did not cooperate but you still had a wonderful time cozy inside on cold days. Lastly, I want to thank you also for ponting out the PDF manuals and guides I have in the house as well but that I put together and also send out electronically to my guests well ahead of arrival. As an avid traveler myself, sharing all of the insights we gathered over the years Is something that I now for a fact, can take away all of the worries and pressure from my guests when planning a perfect vacation in Tuscany. Therefore leaving you time to simple soak up those views and enjoy life at its fullest in the gorgeous city of Montepulciano. Grazie and until next time hopefully!:)
Beautiful view out the back door!
This house had a beautiful view of the Tuscan countryside out back, from the rooms and the patio. The front of the house seemed to be on a busy street but once inside you forgot about the traffic. The location was very convenient, a short walk up the hill to the center of town. The kitchen was well equipped and the house had plenty of space to relax. The morning sunrise over the hills from the back bedrooms was beautiful. The 3rd bedroom in the front of the house was the only one without a view, we chose to sleep in the back family room with double daybed/couches instead, so the sleeping arrangements still worked fine. The owner was very informative and left a great bottle of wine for us to enjoy. A great start to our vacation!
Grazie mille for taking the time to share your thoughts and I’m so elated to hear you had a great time and enjoyed those incredible views I mias so much everyday. It was a pleasure having you and your party stay at the house and you are welcome anytime! Safe travels home!
A great apartment located very conveniently for the fabulous old town of Montepulciano. The apartment has a great two level balcony, ideal for taking in the morning views with a cappucino, or relaxing in the evening with a glass of local wine. Be aware, the mosquito’s are out to get you though! Would definitely recommend this Casina for anyone visiting the area. Thanks to Erika for all the information.
It was a true pleasure having you at the Casina! I agree with you those views are such a joy and waking up to them alone makes for an incredible day and vacation overall with those terraces!!
I’m so sorry this season has been so uncharacteristically rough with mosquitos all throughout Europe. I know exactly what you mean as I experienced them every eurocity I went thru this summer and was surprised too. We tried but there is really nothing we can do about those pesky ones other than the usual citronella candles etc which keep them at bay. I can’t even begin to imagine what it is like to be out in the countryside on those vineyard villas...
