Excellent

We are native New Yorkers, the loft was clean, close to great spots to eat, near the trains. Quiet in the evening and there was enough room for all of us. We would stay here again.

The 4th bedroom is outside of the main apt but we still felt safe, going to the bathroom was a bit of a pain at night. But for the price, location it was worth it. Alex/Sasha was very responsive and great.

Great condo in great location

I loved the condo. I stay in NYC hotels a few times a year but that will most likely change now that I've experienced the comforts of Homeaway renting.

8 adults / teenagers, condo was perfect for us. Only one bathroom wasn't a issue and the one that is there was good size compared to most hotels. The hallway bedroom has a bed that is small for to larger people but does provide privacy. I would rent from home way and Irina again, while I never met her she was a great communicator. She had me met Alex who was absolutely wonderful.

Good Location

The apartment is advertised as 4-bedroomed. Technically it is, but one bedroom is completely separate from the main apartment, including bathroom, with its own door key from the communal landing. Feeling vulnerable none of my family were keen to use it. We question the bed being a full-sized bed; it looked shorter than a standard bed.

The location was good, just a couple of minutes walk to the subway station which gave fast access. There were plenty of restaurants, bars, takeaways etc close (short walking distance) by. That made life very easy after a long day sightseeing to find somewhere interesting to eat.

The property had just one very small bathroom. This was ok, just took a bit of coordination for all 5 of us to take our turn! I was a bit concerned by the grub type creatures which were seen walking on the bathroom floor, mainly towards the basin. The wood-chip edging to the basin appeared to have been possibly chewed by the creatures as there were definitely deposits on the floor between the basin and the shower. We all ensured we put none of our clothes nor towels directly on the floor! I assume this was due to the building being 80+ years old ..???

The three bedrooms were of ok size and the bed I slept in was comfortable. My only criticisms were the lack of mirrors and storage! The only mirror in the place was a small one above the bathroom sink. A full length one somewhere would be great, plus one in each bedroom. No decent wardrobe / drawer space meant that none of us actually unpacked. The towels we showered with daily were hung on the open hanging area to dry through meaning clothes couldn't be hung there.

The living room and kitchen were a good size and we couldn't have asked for more.

The property owner was pleasant and helpful and on the end of the phone when we needed her! Within just half an hour of checking in we had an issue with the key to the '4th bedroom' snapping in two. This was quickly replaced. We were asked if we bumped into the neighbours to say we were friends of the owner as they were unhappy with the property being rented as a holiday let. This made us feel a bit uncomfortable, but actually all the neighbours were very friendly and chatty, and in fact the two guys sat in the entrance hall gave us lots of restaurant / bar recommendations.

Would we return or recommend to others? Possibly, if for the location alone. For five adults, to stay in a hotel would be extremely expensive. This was an alternative

Spacious apartment

This is a spacious apartment near the financial centre and a good location for ferries to Ellis and Liberty islands plus walking to the 9/11 memorial. Comfortable beds, good linen, towels and efficient washing machine. Note, incase you have children, the single room is not within the apartment but outside in the corridor. Queries re accommodation answered promptly.

Super apartment in a great position , near Stone Street , One world , Statten Island ferry etc, Very roomy and comfortable , better than a hotel apartment ,contact with owner got prompt replies , would recommend !

Great location and friendly neighborhood

We absolutely loved our stay in this apartment and at this location. The owner was out of town when we were there, but had her friend be available to us who was really great and helpful if we had any questions. We took our 4 young kids to see the iconic American landmarks of NYC and wanted to stay close to some of them. The Financial District was perfect for us as it was within walking distance to the ferry to Liberty Island/Ellis Island, One World Trade Center, Brooklyn Bridge, New York Stock Exchange, Federal Hall and Alexander Hamilton's grave to name just a few. We were also just blocks from the subway that allowed us to get anywhere.

The neighbors and "doormen" brothers were so nice and friendly. We really felt safe knowing they were watching the place. The apartment itself was such a great size with great views from the windows. It was exactly as advertised, and we had the whole 3 floor which was a nice surprise. The front door of the building opened up to a great little market with convenient stores and food. We were also a block from some really amazing food (burgers, Italian, etc) that came alive at night. The whole area had a really great community vibe that was a slower place than Times Square.
