Waterfront living! (Please click the More Details link to read our entire description)...Our house is located within 50 ft of the Orleans/Eastham town cove. The patio sports a 40 foot wide bluestone patio with three different seating areas(see aerial pic): (1) ceramic table with 6 swivel chairs; (2) 4 piece cushioned rocker seats with entertainment table; 4 adirondack rocking chairs. Our large back deck leads to the outside shower, gas grill, and other options for seating.
Our front patio has a stone dry double wall that encloses the entire patio and stairway access to the house, running about 120 feet.
Inside, the house is equipped with central air conditioning. The front porch area leads in and out to our bluestone patio through double slider french doors and will contain a dining table with chairs overlooking the cove for the rental seasons. The porch/dining area enters into the kitchen which is equipped with all stainless steel appliances(dishwasher, stove, microwave, large refrigerator). The cabinets are natural cherry, counter tops are granite, and we have a breakfast bar with four bar chairs.
Recessed and accent lighting exist in the dining area, kitchen, and breakfast bar, providing attractive nighttime settings. The porch/dining area has a ceiling fan as well.
The open floor plan leads from the kitchen into the living room. The room contains a large sofa, two person chair w/ottoman, and another chair. We have a 48'' LCD with cable, DVD, and wireless internet access. The room has 16ft of window that overlooks the town cove. Recessed and accent lighting exists over the sofa area and in the cathedral ceilings. The room also has two table lamps. It possesses a beautiful view from any of the rooms and eating area. The room has a ceiling fan. Attractive nighttime settings exist with the combination of recessed and lamp lighting.
The front bedroom overlooks the cove from where you sleep. There is plenty of closet space and clothing storage. The bed is queen-sized with a Sealy pillowtop mattress. The door to the room contains a full length mirror and the bedroom has a ceiling fan. The second bedroom also has a queen size pillowtop bed and mattress, ceiling fan, ample closet space and full length mirrored door. Central air conditioning obviously continues into both of these rooms for nights when use may be required.
Access to the back deck, gas grill, and outside shower is found behind the living room seating area. Our outside shower is over-sized, lighted and self contained to both shower and dress, etc. The full bath contains adequate shelving and cabinetry space for toiletries, bath towels, etc. It contains a large walk-in shower, over-sized pedestal sink and plenty of hooks for clothes, towels, etc.
The loft is accessed by a circular staircase that is easy to use. The loft has a front loading washer and dryer and a half bath. There are two large skylights that are operated remotely and provide great cross breeze for those mild days during your stay.
The loft also has a large room where a daybed currently resides (twin) and also a trundle underneath(twin). They can obviously be combined or used separately. Additional dressers are in the loft area, a second TV, and great views of the cove through large floor to ceiling windows. It is a great spot for kids to hang out or sleep in as well.
We know you will be pleased with our completely functional summer home. It has all the amenities that a larger house has to offer on the cove at prices we feel are at below market prices. We hope to see you soon!
Other Things to Know
Although we are off Rte. 6, we are below the road close to sea level and the road is of no concern for noise as it literally travels over us. We hear more boats intermittently than car traffic... a welcomed distraction!
The cove is great for kayaking, sailing, boating, water skiing, fishing, and clamming. It is also great for just sitting in front of it and looking at its beauty while watching boats or kayaks travel by.
We are part of a community dock where a slip is available if requested. It is a deep water dock allowing access all parts of the day. Certain boat lengths are requires and space must be reserved, so if interested in this option please discuss with us so we make proper arrangements for your stay. Access to Coast Guard and Nauset Beach Orleans is within minutes, as well as deep sea fishing.
Those without a boat may want to enjoy our small beach or sitting on the dock. The beach is great for kids of any age, whether it is for a short time before or after other plans for the day commence, or for the entire day.
We are very close to access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. It is a bike trail that can be taken as far north as Marconi Beach in Wellfleet and as far south/southwest as Chatham and Harwich.
The towns of the outer cape (Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet) have beach access to both the bay side and the ocean side. We are within minutes of Coast Guard/Nauset Light Beach, First Encounter Beach, and Rock Harbor Beach.. There are other beaches close by within normal driving times as well.
We are approximately 30 minutes to Provincetown and Hyannis and 20 minutes to Chatham.
Stop and Shop and Orleans shopping restaurants are within minutes.
This house was completed in the 2010 season.
