Tropical Rain Forest Oasis Minutes From All That Manuel Antonio Has To Offer.
Nestled in a true wildlife sanctuary, this contemporary 3 bedroom home offers quiet seclusion within Manuel Antonio Estates-- one of the most accessible and beautiful gated communities in the area. This gem is situated just minutes away from downtown Quepos, the white sand beaches of the Manuel Antonio National Park, and the new world-class Marina Pez Vela. The quality of the building materials and the detailed workmanship of Kiskadee Casa is exquisite. Imported Italian tiles, wooden French doors with ornate stained glass panels leading to the master bedroom, a spacious, elegant master bathroom, and the local hardwood finishes are just a few of the incredible features. Because of its location at the end of the cul-de-sac, the house enjoys privacy, as well as safety, with 24 hour security. The three comfortable bedrooms can easily accommodate 4 - 6 residents. Each bedroom is equipped with its own quiet AC unit with remote control, which you don't find often in Costa Rica. Why rent two or three hotel rooms, when you can rent an entire, family-friendly house for the price of one hotel room? With a full kitchen and a gas grill, feel free to take advantage of the local markets, including the farmers market on Saturdays, to prepare your own meals with fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables and freshly caught fish. Or, just outside the estates you will find an abundant variety of restaurants from casual, ethnic, and al fresco, to 4 & 5-star gourmet dining with beautiful ocean views.
Kiskadee Casa is ideal for families who love the surroundings of the lush rain forest and can’t get enough of the pure sounds of the jungle. Step outside and be entertained by visitors such as bright, colorful toucans and macaws, playful monkeys and adorable sloths. Fruit trees and flowers are abundant on the property. Relax on the balcony in our hammock chairs that covert to full hammocks. Green areas cover a large portion of the estates with 5 km of hiking trails with small creeks and waterfalls. Although, we don't have a pool on site at this time, ask the concierge for convenient locations nearby. Visitors can, also, frequent the Raindrop Spa, a beautifully appointed, Balinese-inspired new day spa with outdoor gardens, offering many types of therapies as well as yoga & Pilates and located right on the Estates' property.
There is so much to do in this area, plan to spend at least 5 nights with us.
Our friendly and knowledgeable concierge will help you plan and book all your tours and transportation. With various modes of transportation easily accessible, you can enjoy a multitude of exciting activities in the area including zip-lining, whale and dolphin watching, boating, para-sailing, bird watching, eco-tourism, tennis, golf, and huge, wild crocodiles at Carrara National Park, just to name a few. Not only are there tours of the park but many other local tours for which pick up can be arranged. Recommended examples are Damas Island, a canopy tour in Rainmaker Park where you can swim and stand under a waterfall, Horseback tour to waterfall, Nighttime Jungle tour.
Day trips can, also, be arranged from Kiskadee Casa for snorkeling at Caño Island, whale and dolphin watching, Corcovado National Park, and other exciting tours leaving from Marino Bellena National Park.
Shuttle or bus service is available to and from San Jose airport. One could rent a car at the airport and drive approximately 3.5 hours to Quepos/Manuel Antonio on good roads or fly Nature Air from San Jose to Quepos and arrange for car rental after arrival at one of the local agencies. Flights take about 25 minutes. Or choose to use local shuttle or taxi service once you arrive.
Here is a quote from Forbes Magazine about Manuel Antonio Park: “Here is a stunning combination of beaches and coral reefs, perfect for snorkeling and exploring the area’s famous tangle of mangroves. Rainforest jungles remain untouched habitats for Brown-throated Three-toed Sloths, iguanas, Central American squirrel monkeys and birds of extraordinary colors. One of Costa Rica’s smallest national parks, Manuel Antonio is nevertheless one of its most popular, with activities ranging from white-water rafting and sea kayaking to horseback riding on one of the park’s four beaches.”
From Broadwayworld: “Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, has had its debut, and is now becoming one of the top 'boutique' travel destinations in the world. Forbes called Manuel Antonio National Park one of the '12 Most Beautiful National Parks of the World'.
Costa Rica is fast becoming one of the top vacation spots for families. Manuel Antonio has much to offer including beautiful white sand beaches, calm waters, kid-friendly tours, National Park, and abundant, exotic wildlife. Kiskadee Casa is a budget-savvy, tropical rain forest oasis just minutes from all that Manuel Antonio has to offer. Enjoy your stay. Pura vida.

About Brendon Cleer
I am a teacher from Illinois living with my wife in Tennessee. I have always been a nature lover and outdoor enthusiast. I have traveled to many places, but Costa Rica has it all. It was love at first sight. So, my wife and I decided to 'settle down' and buy this gorgeous house to which we hope to retire someday. In the meantime, we would love to share it with you. People are very warm and friendly, here. I love the abundant, exotic wildlife and being so close to the ocean. Opportunity for adventure abounds. The picture is of one of our favorite tour guides, Mario Brenes, and me on a canopy tour of Rainmaker Park.

AC worked great. Howler monkey greeted us the first night, iguanas everywhere, frogs and more wildlife than I imagined this close to town. Gated and personnel are helpful. Lovely house!
Thank you for you kind review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Come to visit again soon.
Close to everything and yet surrounded by trees - so peaceful
This house made a perfect base to explore Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. We were close to everything but the house was situated so that the focus was on the environment. There was a beautiful deck in which to enjoy the scenery. My one disappointment of the house was that the deck furniture was not very comfortable. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. There was a bus stop not far from the estates which we used to go to Manuel Antonio and we were so glad that we did because parking and traffic was crazy there. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with our stay.
Very cozy and private
very friendly and helpful staff
Peaceful views in the rain forest
The location in the rain forest was divine. We saw squirrel monkeys, scarlet macaws, morpho butterflies and more. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to use. The owner and staff at Manuel Antonio Estates were helpful with advice and planning a tour. We notified them of some plumbing issues that were going to be taken care of
Quiet home in the jungle with a great view
Our stay at Kiskadee Casa was wonderful!
We saw almost as many critters at the estates as we did elsewhere on our journeys.
The house is comfortable and well appointed. There’s plenty of room, and the staff at Manuel Antonio Estates are helpful and friendly.
Thanks for a lovely vacation!
