Charming cottage with a spectacular view!
Although my family and I have spent years fishing at Duck Lake, this is the first time we have rented a cottage on the lake. We had a really great time. "Quaint" is a wonderful way to describe this little slice of heaven. The deck is super spacious with tons of seating available. The dock is in very good condition, and we were able to tie two boats up to it with plenty of space. The neighbors are incredibly nice people and we really enjoyed meeting them. You have to ask them to tell you the story about the black rabbits! It is a real treat when you see them hopping around. My husband got up one morning and even spotted TWO bald eagles! Lastly, the owners were very good to work with. Although it rain a good portion of our week, we still had great luck fishing, and we enjoyed our time at this cottage.
We are so glad you enjoyed your week. Please come visit us again!!
Nice place to stay at the Lake
Place was just right for us. Nice Deck and all the Cabin amenities were just fine!
Worked great for our family.
The house is adorable. Some would consider small but our family of 6 is used to small and we interact more when we can't go hideaway. One of our adult children did sleep in the couch so I would call this a 5 adult sleeper but one could fit more younger kids upstairs. Overall, being on the water in a cute community and not too far from other things was exactly what our family needed.
Fun Family Time At Duck Lake
We enjoyed ourselves at this quaint Duck Lake cottage. The cottage was clean and well maintained. Five people were plenty here as it is small, but it met our needs. Wifi was missed, but it was nice at the same time not to have to be "connected" and relaxation and conversation took its place. As long as showers are spaced out, then every guest will have hot/warm water!! Marta was attentive to our questions, concerns, and requests which we greatly appreciated. The deck was great and was the draw for our family. We relaxed, ate meals, played games, laughed and made memories on that deck. The lake is shallow next to the dock which would be great for small children to play and have fun. If your family is looking for a relaxing quaint get away this cottage is for you!!
Relaxing place to enjoy a week on the water.
We chose this location for the size of the lake and the cottage feel. We had family flying in from Oregon, and the close access to Detroit was helpful. We spent each morning with coffee on the deck and ended the day in the same place enjoying the quiet waters. This lake was not highly congested with fishermen and boaters and provided a great week away that was just what we desired. Marta was very responsive when we had a concern about one of the appliances.
Comfortable vacation cottage
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Duck Lake cottage. The cottage had basic necessities covered. The cottage was clean and comfortable. WiFi was definitely missed. We survived without cable. We enjoyed the deck tremendously. Having the grill was great and the pier to the lake. It was great that it was shallow . Our grandchildren were able to swim despite the cool weather. The area was peaceful. Cottage was great for small groups. Large groups could be a challenge with small hot water tank and space. The cottage met our needs. Thank you for a great stay.
Thank you Mary! You were the perfect guests, we are glad you enjoyed your time at the lake.
