very disappointing

The outside of the place looks great the condo itself looked great however the property management that keeps up the condo EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING! The dishes in the place were dirty every one. The pans had dried food in them and very sticky. The floors had sand on them when we arrived I called for housekeeping they came and swept the floors while we were gone however I do not believe they have ever been steamed as we had to were our shoes the whole time as they turned our feet black if we went without shoes. I called the property management about this and they said that is the best they can do. The beds were rock hard. We were suppose to have a set up package as far as cleaning supplies and there were none. We had a broom but no dust pan and zero cleaning supplies at all. The property has an indoor pool but was closed for maintenance. I go to Florida every year and never have I had such a terrible experience in a condo facility as I had with complex and property management. I will never book with them again nor will I stay with the condo complex again.

Property is awesome. Could use more staircases.

Security/rules were a little outrageous. We had a small speaker playing music by the pool that was not very loud, and we got asked to turn it off and bring it back to the room. We could not just turn it off, we were forced to bring it back even if we didn’t play it.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

The Good: Location is nice and convenient to several things in the PCB area. The pool area is nice and clean with plenty of chairs and easy access to the beautiful beach. Very nice.

The Bad: The previous reviews about the parking is spot on. It is tight. And if you are unlucky enough to be in a unit without an assigned space, you will circle and circle and circle up to the top to find an available, unreserved spot. Plan on building substantial time into your daily itinerary just to enter and exit the parking area.

The Ugly: Despite each guest being required to pay a cleaning fee, it's obvious very little of the money is spent on cleaning the unit. Walking on the floor was almost as bad as walking on the beach itself - dirty and gritty. The bottom of your socks turned black it was so dirty. The unit we stayed in was a bit dated but that's not really the problem. Several lamps didn't work and several kitchen appliances didn't work. The window blinds on the front bedroom were broken affording no privacy from anyone walking by the entrance of the unit. But if you think you can call for assistance, think again. You are on your own! Nobody ever answers the phone. I sent an email and a day later received an email reply asking me to call them again. Multiple times, sometimes for 10 minutes or more, the phone just rang and rang. No answer, no voice mail. A visit to the front desk one time was useless because no one was there and another time I got a blank expression and was asked "did you try and call the number?". Infuriating. An entire visit and no one ever picked up or addressed the concerns I described in my email. Also, in my reservation confirmation I was told I'd have one day of complimentary beach service for two and a free round of drinks from the bar. No beach service available and the bar remained closed for our entire stay. It may be offseason, but why promise something you can't deliver. False advertising.

Now, I'm wondering if I'll get the same response from management that other reviewers have gotten - something along the lines of "sorry for the problems, hope to make it up to you on a future stay". What does that mean? Seems like an empty platitude. Where is the tangible effort to compensate past guests with bad experiences so that you can convert them into future, repeat customers?

Great resort!

Great room pool and beach access other things not so great

The room was great good size room we had 4 adults and 4 children and had plenty of room for all the pool was great and beach access was nice and easy to get to and from but now the bad the restraunt and bar by the pool were never opened while we were there the parking deck is tight and when I say tight I mean plan an getting a dentist or to on your vehical while there this particular unit does not come with a reserved space so you have to find a non reserved spot everytime and those are few and far between gour ahead and expect to spend 15 minutes going up and 15 minutes going down the parking deck everytime now for the worse I seen reviews about how bad the elevator wait was but thought maybe people where being to critical....... I was wrong we waited up to a hour at times to get on the elevator and I know people will say there is stairs but with 4 kids and everything you need at the beach it's impossible I would say expect to lose a quarter of your vacation on the elevators and the parking garage if you can find another room that's near the ground floor it's a great place to stay in would pay more to stay on the ground and give up the veiw in a heart beat

Beautiful but unaccommodating

We were blown away by the beauty of the scenery. Our room was great. The pool was incredible. The beaches were great. But we paid top dollar, and the Shores of Panama were just so self serving and I felt like they went out of their way to let us know they could care less if we ever came back. When we arrived at our room none of our televisions worked, nor our wifi. We called Royal American Getaways, and they sent someone to the room as soon as they could. We got two of the three tv's working, and the third the man from RA contacted the maintenance men from the Shores of Panama. They clearly didn't want to help. They didn't even try the TV, and they said the Wifi we could just connect to the person above us. That lasted about as long as they could get out of the room, and it kicked us off. Royal American did credit us some money, which was very fair. And if it wasn't for RA I wouldn't give the Shores of Panama any stars. The parking was a disaster. They were even trying to be unhelpful in loading and unloading our vehicle. We love Panama City, and our room was nice, and the pools were great, but again, it was the most unaccommodating place I have EVER stayed, and that includes Motels.
