Vicki steered us Perfectly. They have a lot of properties to choose from and she was the consummate professional and Extremely nice. The property was in great condition and the home was stocked with all of the goodies you would expect from a professionally managed property (down to the dog biscuit for our dog) We will use this company again FOR SURE and I am highly confident in recommending Stewart Mgm in Sundance!!

Owner's Response: It's because of guests like you that keep us going Rob. We love what we do and we are extremely passionate about Sundance and sharing the experience. Like minded people are drawn into Sundance and those that appreciate it and see it for what it is keep coming back again and again. Thank you for being so gracious and we are anxious to get you back. We all have dogs here and they spend their days in the office with us, in our cars when visiting guests, running the trails and tromping through the snow when we have down time. So happy Monty gets to travel with you and we know you'd all love it here again this summer. Let's take the dogs hiking sometime. We'll see you again soon! Thanks, Vicki, Wyatt and the rest at Stewart Mtn. Lodging

Beautiful Cozy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful well-appointed cabin nestled in the trees with beautiful fall colors. We were only there for one night wishing we could have stayed longer. If we ever get back to Sundance, we will definitely stay here again.

Not the best we have stayed at...

  • 3 of 5

My family of 5 stayed at Hillside Hideaway for 9 days over the July 4th holiday. We have stayed in many vacation rental cabins in Sundance and Park City areas over the years, and this cabin would rate, unfortunately, as our least liked. Because I always do extensive research on my vacations (and vacation rentals) before booking, I appreciate honest reviews and so I will give one here. There were aspects of this cabin that worked well, and other areas that need improvement.

Location- it is hard to beat. It is just a short 5 minute walk to Sundance resort thru mostly a lovely path along the river. The cabin is on a private street with little traffic (the time we were there, a home was being built up the road so much more traffic than usual I would suspect). However, there are other cabins surrounding this cabin on two sides, so you are not as secluded as the photos may indicate. The driveway is VERY steep but you can park two cars there.

The Cabin itself was of a good size for our family. The main great room had good furnishings, lovely fireplace and nice large flat screen TV with satellite (only 1 TV in the cabin). Kitchen was small, but it was well stocked. Bathrooms, although functional, needed updating. Lots of windows throughout the cabin. Vicki and Brad responded quickly to minor issues-they were great!

Outside Space: Lots of decking space with well kept hot tub (which we used at night-great star gazing), plenty of sitting areas and we loved the rocking chairs and new grill. Loved all the foliage.

What We DID NOT Like:

1. Bugs/Insects inside the cabin. We know when we rent a cabin in the woods, there are going to be some bugs, we have rented many cabins as I have said. This cabin had a TON of bugs in it. Each morning I would have to vacuum up bugs off the floor of the downstairs bath and bedroom, there were that many. Upstairs, there were also many types of insects crawling around. Needed are screens on the two patio sliders that dont have them. Truly though, this cabin needs pest control measures.

2. NO window coverings in the master bedroom OR BATH! Photos on the rental website clearly show window coverings, but there were none. That is just really unacceptable when the largest MBRM window faces the street and the other, another cabin next to it. YOU NEED WINDOW COVERINGS.

With these items corrected, we would certainly recommend this cabin.

Owner's Response: Hi Nicole, Thank you for taking the time share your experience. This should have been responded to shortly after your stay. Your cabin had recently been purchased and the new owner was in the process of making a very long list of improvements to her new Sundance cabin. We are happy you enjoyed the location and a few other aspects of the home. A few updates that you and any guest will now see are the following: - Window coverings in the master bedroom and bath (much needed even in a mountain environment) - New sliding door screens installed. - Regular pest control (helps but never 100% in the mountains) - New study with sofa sleeper, flat screen TV (second TV in cabin) and new full bath making a cabin with 3 full baths now. - Same great location with easy access to the resort and The Hollow (Stewart Mtn Lodging park with zip line and stream) We'd love have you back anytime! Thanks, Stewart Mountain Lodging

Great weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

WOW! What a fun place to spend a weekend. Comfortable great room with tons of natural light all day. The kids enjoyed playing and sleeping in the loft. We loved the bedroom with it's own fireplace. Overall, a great place! What we liked the most is that Sundance has a different feel from other ski towns. It has such an inviting, down home atmosphere...Thanks to Brad and Vicki...We really felt as if we were part of a small mountain community and not just a weekend guest.

Owner's Response: Thanks for sharing Dave! That's the beauty of renting a home vs staying in a hotel when traveling. It's as if your rental is your second home and you can see the area as a local would. We love sharing our favorite hikes, restaurants, etc with you to see it and experience it from how a local would. Because we live in Sundance that is exactly how we like to feel when we travel. We love the our little community and making our guests part of that experience. We've done a few more upgrades to the cabin and would love to have you back anytime. Hope you and your family are well. Vicki & Brad @ Stewart Mtn Lodging
