Moss Town Townhome Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms, Sleeps 4

The astronauts looking down from space identified the Exumas in the Bahamas as having the most exquisite waters(numerous shades of blue, aquamarine, greens, clear white) in the universe!

Rayann's Beach House @ Three Sisters' Rocks, located five minutes drive from Exumas international airport and 15 minutes drive from George Town, the main town of Great Exuma Island, is a 2-story town house that has two x 2 bedrooms, 2 and a half bathroom apartments. One unit is called 'Ray' and the other unit is named 'Ann'. Both Ray and Ann upper level houses 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each bedroom has a balcony. The master bedroom has a panoramic view of the sea. downstairs is the kitchen, a half bathroom, and a dining and lounge area. A double French door opens onto a private veranda with a breathtaking view of the ocean. There are ceiling fans in every room and central air conditioning.

The Sandals Resort (formerly Four Seasons) Greg Norman Golf Course and Marina can be reached in 8 minutes by car. A convenience store is in walking distance. Larger grocery stores, a health facility, banks with ATM's are found in George Town.

A boat tour to the northern Exuma Cays would be most exciting to see the swimming pigs, the iguanas, and the famous James Bond Thunderball Grotto Cave.

Local restaurants, and other places of interest may be found in the information booklet provided at the beach house.

About The Owner

I am a retired teacher/librarian. I grew up in a small town on this island, which is where I now live. I choose to live in Exuma because of the natural beauty, the peace and tranquility.

The Owner purchased this townhome in 2012

Why The Owner chose Exuma

This property has sentimental value for my family because it was passed down through the generations. The property can not be sold and may be this is the reason why I can own a beach house.

What makes this townhome unique

The sea view from this property is breathtaking! You step out of the French doors right onto the beach!

Absolutely fabulous rental! Hard to put into words how impressed we were with the overall Rayann's experience..... It was love at first sight! Mildred and Isadora are two of the nicest people you could ever meet. The property has the perfect location, beautifully decorated and spotless. The crisp white bedsheets and endless supply of fluffy bath and beach towels, the fully equipped kitchen, the goodies in the fridge...... even a birthday cake for me! We have been renting properties on various Bahamian islands over the last ten years, without doubt, this is the best! We arrived as clients, and I am proud to say, we left as family........ That's me in the photos!

Amazing vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My sisters and I absolutely loved RayAnn's and everything about Exuma! I have never seen more beautiful water... Photos could never do it justice! The house was perfect for our stay. Isadora and Mildred met us there when we arrived and gave us tons of information about the island. They left us some cold beverages in the fridge, fresh bread, and some fruit! The house had a cooler, beach towels, chairs, snorkel gear, and more! The beach was essentially private... We saw maybe 4 or 5 people over our entire stay. Highly recommend renting a car. We used Sure to Shore... The car was waiting on us at the airport and Janese was a pleasure to deal with! We loved visiting Coco Plum and the Tropic of Cancer. Both beaches are stunningly beautiful! Had a blast going over to Stocking Island on the water taxi- Chat & Chill was one of our favorite spots for sure! Enjoyed delicious food at Big D's and saw a gorgeous sunset at Catch a Fire. Loved our half day excursion- 4Cs Adventures picked us up at the house and we saw pigs/iguanas/Blowhole Beach/starfish/snorkeled. We will most certainly visit Exuma again! Thank you so much, ladies. Our stay was perfect.

Best trip ever!

  • 5 of 5

We took our girls down for the first time, from planning the trip to leaving I can not express enough how amazingly helpful and sweet Isadora was throughout the entire process. We did not want to leave, the condo was so clean and the beach was spectacular. We usually stay at Sandals on the Exumas, honestly the view and beach on this condo was better than the Sandals. We will be returning again soon.!

Paradise Found!

  • 5 of 5

I don't have much to add to the glowing reviews, but to concur that everything about the place and the owners was superb! Communication prior to our trip was excellent; they helped us with car rental ( Sure to Shore) and excursion ( 4 C's). We arrived quite late on a blustery day, but were warmly welcomed with great information as well as snacks and drinks! Everyone knows Mildred and Isadora; they taught school for years and are respected business women. There is no question they cannot answer!

Our remote broke on the second day, it was replaced immediately. Other than that, everything was in perfect working order and the unit was very comfortable. It was nice chilling on the couch, watching TV, listening to the surf, drinking a Kalik and having a half bath downstairs!! We had 2 couples in the unit next door, but we never heard them and later shared a drink on the patio. The closest unit is far enough away that you never see or hear anyone. However, the very central location is perfect for visiting all island locations.

One favorite stop was Santana's with the best lobster on the island. Next door, Mama makes the best rum cakes you've ever tasted, drenched with special sauce before your eyes. And the drinks were the best, too! We also loved Catch a Fire with the most beautiful water and sunset. Reservation recommended! Driving wasn't too bad, there is really only one main road and drivers are courteous. Bring lots of cash, the ATMs are tricky at times and bank hours are spotty.

The people on this island are the real treasure. I felt so welcome everywhere, and staying away from big resorts gave us a chance to have a more authentic experience.

What a beautiful place to stay... !

  • 5 of 5

...could not be better!

We are back to the snow after a beautiful week at RayAnn’s location. We were on the Ray unit.

Isadora and Mildred give us a warm welcome to their beautiful site. The unit was ultra clean, a few beers, soda and water were in the fridge unit is 100% functional with new appliances, plenty of towels and beach towels. Isadora and Mildred give us tons of informations for Exuma there are pamphlets for all kinds of activities. We arrived on the Sunday too late to go at the grocery. Mildred tells us to go at a nearby restaurant close to the Sandals resort. The pizza was delicious 

During the week I add a few questions and Isadora and Mildred were all the time available and pleased to answer my questions.

The beach facing the unit is awesome. You would enjoy playing in the waves 

We did kitesurfing at Coco Plum Beach and snorkeling at Jolly Hall Beach. Exuma people around the Island are very nice. Driving on the left side was weird at the beginning but get used to it very fast.

I hope to have the pleasure to go back their but for two weeks. One week is too short.

Thanks again Isadora and Mildred.

Best location and value in all of Exuma - PERFECT!

  • 5 of 5

The only part of your stay at Rayann's that you won't love is the day you have to leave! Isadora and Mildred are fabulous hosts, and they have thought of everything to make your stay absolutely perfect. Information on what to do, snorkeling gear, beach towels, toiletries, washer and dryer and a grill, along with a well-appointed kitchen, AND CLEAN!!! So clean you will hate to go home! They even rented a car for us and had it waiting at the airport!

The best part of this home is its LOCATION. First, Three Sisters Rock beach is spectacular! Watching the sunrise on the "three girls" each morning was heaven. We would walk each day for at least an hour and we saw three people the entire week. If you can get around the rocks at the NE point I think it even connects to Johnny Hill beach. Best of all though, you are CENTRALLY LOCATED on the island - I can't stress enough how awesome that was for our trip. We had three windy days so renting a boat was not possible. Instead we drove around looking for every beach we could find, and it was a great way to see the whole island. We were no more than a half hour from either the Tropic of Cancer beach or Coco Plum (our favorite), and we saw many beaches in between (they are all beautiful and different). Georgetown and the airport are less than 10 minutes away too. Look for the Salt Beacon by Williams Town - the views are breathtaking!

Definitely take the day tour with the 4 C's out of Baraterre to see the pigs, iguanas, nurse sharks and Thunderball Grotto. You can't believe how much you can do in a single day and it is well worth the money! Ask for Andrew Clarke - he will go out of his way to make your day perfect! Bone fishing is a must with Bonefish Stevie too. We caught LOTS of fish (they are great fighters) and watching the sharks try to catch our catch was pretty exciting! He is a wonderful guide and truly a "warm spirit".

Here are a few dining spots not always mentioned - Emerald Bay Pub - great grouper fingers and margarita. Betty and Oswald Nixon own the Lighthouse Cafe near Steventon - they are charming and she made an okra soup and rice that I am still thinking about, and it was a nice change from fish every day.

Stop looking - you have just found the best rental on all of Exuma, especially for the money! We will definitely be back to this beautiful and unspoiled paradise and we will stay at Rayann's again for sure:)!
