1-bedroom apartment with modern decor on the ground level of classic building on a prime block in Chelsea. Conveniently located near the intersection of 15th Street and 7th Avenue, Greenwich Village, the West Village, the Meatpacking District, and Union Square are all located a few blocks away. The A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, F, M, and L trains all stop within at most one block from the apartment. Enjoy fabulous restaurants, excellent shopping, innumerable art galleries and the most vibrant nightlife in the City. A laundromat and dry cleaners is located two doors down. The legendary Chelsea Market is less than two blocks away. Numerous local groceries, including the West Side Market, are steps from the front door.
This place as almost all the amities of a service apartment. Kitchen wares, cable T.V, HD TV, WIFI high speed internet. Laundromat is next door. New York sports Club ( gym) is one block away. Fresh towels, bed-wares and many more.
You can't ask for a better location to experience all Downtown has to offer.
Great location, although being on street level it could be very noisy in the summer with the window open. The heat was good, the bed/sofa was comfortable, wifi was good, the stove and hot water work, but lights in the kitchen are out, the shower curtain filthy, and the walls definitely need a coat of paint. If you are only sleeping here, it is tolerable, but I wouldn't stay here again.
Abid's Chelsea studio is a great location for a week of gallery-hopping. We parked our car in Jersey City to save money, and took a PATH train 4 stops to 14th St., a short walk to the Apt. - it was nice to have a well-equipped kitchen - Chelsea Market and Southside Market are short walks away. Short walks also, take you to the galleries in Chelsea, the High Line, the Whitney Museum and Eataly.
The apt. was clean. It is tiny and the sofa bed could have been a little more comfortable but we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks, Abid
Great location, perfect size and amenities, and great communication. Would stay there again. Thanks, Abid!
My issues with this property are many. 1. No batteries in the smoke detector (violation of law?). 2. The walls are in bad need of attention. Dented, marred and looked as if they'd not been painted in years. 3. The were no openable windows and the air conditioner was no in a place in could be readily used. There was no place to sit comfortably--no chair, worn hide-a--bed with an unfoldable mattress. 4. The TV remote did not control the volume, either up or down, so the only way to listen was at an uncomformtably loud volume. Also, the only way to turn it off was at the surge protector, otherwise a message reading "No Signal" stay on the screen. 5. The owner required payment in cash upon arrival, thus we were stuck with no option to leave and cancel the cost for remaining days, which we would have done. I assume this was his reason for requiring upfront cash. 7. the bath towels, I suspect, came from a Goodwill store.
I emailed Abid several times, with tons of questions, he responded promptly and answered all of them very honestly and throughly. I then called him with more questions, he was patient, kind, and once again very transparent about the apartment. Sadly, I had to cancel my reservation, and he refunded the entire security deposit the same day, with no questions asked. He also asked me to text him to confirm, that I received the money. If your looking for a place to stay in NYC, look no further!!! I have no doubt if we would have stayed at Abid's rental, we would have had a wonderfully positive experience!!!!! Abid is genuine and friendly! Book with him!!!!
The studio is better than we expected. It's on the street level so it's very convenient. It is very close to the subway and Chelsea Market is very close. Next time I will definitely stay here again. The owner is very responsive to our email.
