Excellent stay!

Very easy and smooth to check in and out. Clean and tidy. Abid responds quickly and communication was efficient. Awesome location away from Times Square. Would definitely stay again.

Great Chelsea studio

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic studio apartment, well equipped with what you need. Fast wifi, cable tv, good kitchen and bathroom. Even though it was freezing outside, warm as toast inside thanks to good heating. Only downside is I didn't like the sofa bed, the owner did drop past and indicate that he was going to update this. Apart from this, the most fantastic location with everything you need close by and at a very affordable rate ( for Chelsea). I'll definitely stay again.

Nice location

  • 4 of 5

The subway station is so close that we can easily access anywhere in Manhattan as well as Brooklyn. There are Laundromats, delis, cafes, drugstores and supermarkets nearby. We could also walk to Chelsea Market and The High Line in such a short time that we got to go there several times during our stay. The wifi in the house was too slow but I got the SIM card for my phone so it was not problem for me. Right after we checked in we realized a few things to be fixed and be provided but he dealt with them by the next day. We would like to stay here again when we come back to Manhattan!

You get what you pay for

  • 2 of 5

I was glad to find an inexpensive place to stay in NYC in a very good location, but you have to be willing to accept some tradeoffs and not expect much. The bed is not very comfortable, as others have noted. The steel door lets in a lot of cold air. We had negotiated with the manager to clean the apartment ourselves when we left but it was not clean when we arrived _ not acceptable. And the smoke detector had been removed, a safety concern.

Owner's Response: This review is not completely correct. This woman wrote this to me prior her arrival: "Abid, I have booked extensively on VRBO...since this is a very small space, $100 seems excessive for a cleaning fee. Are you willing to work with us on that, or could we wash the sheets and towels ourselves and clean to avoid or lessen the fee? If so, we can agree to the other terms _$240 rental plus $100 security fee." Marilynn I agreed to charge no cleaning fee based on our agreement that she will wash the bed sheets herself. Then when she leaves, she complains to me not having the sheets and towels clean and ask for money back. The apartment doesn't have smoke detector because everything is electric in the apartment, even the stove. However, I am putting one immediately if this is a future concern to anyone. In terms of cold air. There are two heaters in the apartment so it shouldn't be a problem She lied on the reviews because I didn't comply with her request to give her money back, even though I already gave her a steep discount.

Nice studio on great location

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is on great location and almost everything is in the walking distance (if you don't mind walking a little bit longer, but blame it on the size of NYC, and not the location that is really great). Also subway station is at the corner of the street, and also a few grocery shops are very near.

Apartment has everything you need (free wifi was especially nice). It gets a bit crowded once the bed is open but that is already shown on the pictures, and since it is only at the night time, it is not really a problem. Besides, that is how I imagine apartments in NYC look like, so we had a real New York experience. Kitchen was clean and equipped with everything necessary.

Abid was very helpful, answered immediately to all questions, and everything worked fine.

Comfy place

  • 5 of 5

I have a great experience at this ap. It's enough for the money you pay for it. A place to sleep, take a shower and cook some meals. That's what I wanted and I had. The neighborhood is so amazing and the streets feel so NY. There are lots of restaurants and coffees nearby and the subway is some steps far from the door. If you are there to celebrate something, there is a Balloon store in front of the ap. Chelsea Market and High Line are two blocks west.

I recommend using buses to move because you see what you have around. I used a lot and you use the same card of the sub. If you are in a hurry take the subs.

Abid was gentle and honest. Everything worked fine. Payments and all. Thanks for everything.
