My home is a dog friendly custom crafted home at the end of a 1/2 mile long private lane in the seaside village of Kittery Point, ME, near the York, ME border. The 1.5 acre lot is surrounded by conservation land on three sides.

It is centrally located, 3 miles east of US Route 1, near the York, ME border. The closest Kittery/York beaches are 3 to 4 miles away (including 1/2 mile private road) on lightly traveled back roads. Pepperrell Cove in Kittery Point is less than 3 miles away. Long Sands Beach (York, ME) is 6 miles away. Short Sands Beach (York Beach, ME) is 8 miles away.

My home includes a modern sun-room which enters out onto large flagstone patio with a central granite lined fire pit. There is a large fenced in yard for your well behaved dog. The sun-room includes a dog door which opens to the large patio and fenced in yard. The large eat-in kitchen is open concept and adjoins the elevated 26' x 29' Great Room with a corner gas fireplace and large 65" LG flat panel UHD Smart TV, Roku Premier+, Sony Google TV/Internet/Blueray DVD Player, and Sony Surround Sound stereo system. The Great Room includes an expandable dining room table, a Foosball table and a dart board. There is also an elevated bar attached to the kitchen counter which accommodates 4 bar stools. In one corner of the Great Room there is an exercise bicycle. The eat-in kitchen is fully applianced and includes plenty of storage and a round kitchen table that seats 4 to 6 people. The Great Room leads outdoors to a large elevated deck, fully fenced in back yard and the flagstone patio and fire pit. A lower large flat lawn area can accommodate multiple lawn games. There is a horse shoe pit on the upper lawn area next to the patio and a volleyball court can be set up on the lower lawn if requested.

The original main section of the house has two 2nd floor bedrooms with a queen bed, bureau, small closet, and bedside table in each. Next to the two bedrooms is a 3/4 bath with a large shower (2 shower heads) and linen closet. Across the hallway is a small study with one full bed, bureau, bedside table, and a shelf unit with a closet rod for hanging garments (no closet). Up four steps from the hallway leads to a large bedroom studio area with a 2nd interior stairway entrance from the 26' x 29' Great Room. The studio has one king bed, one queen bed and one full bed in an L-shaped 26' x 20.5' space. A second hallway and stairway leads to the expansive Master Suite and Master Office area. The 14' x 26' Master Bedroom includes both a king sleigh bed and a queen bed at opposite ends, separated by a large sofa seating area with a 51" Samsung flat panel Plasma TV, Mi Box Android TV, Sony Blue-ray DVD, and stereo. The master bathroom includes a walk-in closet, double sink changing area which leads to the back bathroom with a corner whirlpool tub, two head walk-in shower and toilet. The walk-thru master suite office area currently has two twin beds and a a desk.

At one end of the first floor is the large eat-in kitchen which opens to the expansive great room (26' x 29'). At the other end of the first floor is the formal dining room, which is now used as a sitting room and office, a first floor bedroom with a queen bed, and a combination full bathroom and laundry room across the hallway. The front to back entry hallway leads to the 1st floor queen bedroom, full bath/laundry room, sun-room (w/ dog door), the fenced in backyard, flagstone patio and fire pit.

The house is non-smoking. Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of any open windows or doors to prevent smoke from entering the premises. Guests must extinguish and properly dispose of cigarette, cigar, and pipe waste products in the metal trash can provided in the back yard. Aluminum cans and glass bottles must not be used as permanent waste receptacles, as they must be recycled by Kittery Municipal Ordinance.

Kittery Municipal Ordinances require that all aluminum and tin cans, glass bottles, and plastic bottles and containers be separated from household trash, rinsed, and recycled. All clean paperboard and cardboard must also be recycled. The property owner requires that all aluminum cans and glass or plastic bottles be segregated and placed in the recycling trash cans marked for cans and bottles. All plastic and glass food containers must be rinsed free of their contents and placed in the recycling bins provided both in the house and outside in the trash cans marked for recycling. Guests can also recycle any clean paper or paperboard products in the blue recycling bins provided. Tissues, napkins, paper towels, and soiled paper products are not recyclable.

All dogs visiting the property require prior homeowner approval. Guests are held responsible for the conduct of their dogs. All dogs must be current with their state required vaccinations and registration. All dogs must be current on their oral or topical methods of flea and tick control, prior to and during their visit to the property. Guests must provide proof of current vaccinations, registration, and flea and tick control if requested by the homeowner or local authorities. Although the backyard is fenced in, the fence is merely a deterrent to keeping dogs in and keeping some wildlife out. The property owner does not warrant the degree of pet containment in this area and is not responsible for any dogs escaping by any means and/or any wildlife penetrating the property through, under or over the fence.

Guests are responsible for picking up and properly disposing of all their pet's solid waste in the metal trash can provided in the back yard. This policy applies to both on the homeowner's property and in the neighborhood and conservation lands adjacent to the property. All dogs must be leashed when not in the fenced in area of the property.

No special events are allowed on the property at any time. The house is for the enjoyment of the registered paying overnight guests only. Specific daytime family events may be allowed with prior owner notification and approval.

Wedding parties, bachelor parties are specifically prohibited at all times. No paid entertainment of any kind is allowed on the property at any time.

The Town of Kittery has a strict noise ordinance, and all guests must abide by all applicable Town of Kittery ordinances and rules and regulations. Guest must abide by all State of Maine and U.S. Federal Laws. Any violation of municipal, state or federal ordinances, rules, regulations, or laws risk immediately losing rental guest privileges, security deposit, and potentially may face municipal and/or state fees or fines.

Great spot for a family or girls weekend!

I just recently stayed with 10 ladies for a girls weekend. It was awesome. There were enough beds for everyone to have their own. They were clean and comfortable. Two refrigerators were plenty for the food and drinks we brought up. The owner I met upon arrival and he gave me a detailed tour of the home with how things worked and what did not work. He even put a fresh water bottle next to every nightstand which i thought was a great touch. There was an over abundance of cookware, cups, cooking utensils...if you like to cook this is the place to be. Con is no gas stove. There were plenty of linens to use (towels and sheets). Every bathroom had cotton balls, q tips and blowdryers. Then owner has this place well stocked. Great big Tv's with firesticks and rokus.

He thought of everything. I was impressed. It's the little things that count and he had it all.

We would all love to stay again and would recommend this place to others.

Owner is a really nice guy.

Great place for a large family/friends Getaway

This property has all you will need for your group. Well furnished with wonderful open spaces conducive to large group participation with no one feeling excluded. Even those slaving away in the kitchen :-). Extremely comfortable beds. The owner is very accommodating offering extended stay if needed. It is a work in progress, but the few rough edges do not impede a great experience. I highly recommend this property for your group.

Labor Day Weekend!

This property is what your group was looking for. We spent the weekend visiting Ogunquit and exploring this area of Maine. Scott was prompt in communicating and he made sure the house was ready for check in day. He was very friendly even though I only met him briefly. He was flexible with us when it came to check in and check out. The property is very private and quiet and the rooms and beds were all clean and comfy. Can't beat the amenities offered. We really enjoyed our stay!

Huge house that had more than enough space for 2 families + 2 grandmas!

Secluded house surrounded by woods & very peaceful. Plenty of room to stretch out & not feel like we were on top of each other! Best stocked kitchen I've ever been in! You don't need to bring a thing! I will say 1 of the 2 stoves/ovens wasn't working, and with 9 people, cooking was a bit more strategic. Some of the beds upstairs are a little oddly configured, but they're super comfortable and nice bedding! Some parts of the house are a "work in progress", not major but something to note. The outdoor space was great! yard, fire pit, patio & grills were wonderful places to gather each night. Scott was a great host & very accommodating.
