The Waters Edge cottage is located right on the waters edge of one of three connecting lakes.
The Lincoln Maine area has 13 lakes within it boundaries and we have access to three right at the front door.
The cottage has recently been remodeled. It has 3 bedrooms, kitchen & bath, washer & dryer, satellite TV, relaxing den.
Outside is a barbeque grill, fire pit, deck with furniture. Kayaks are available.
We have had a cottage on these connecting lakes Egg, Caribou, & Long since 1972. In 1990 we gave the original cottage to our children this would enable our children and grandchildren to enjoy the lakes as we did many years ago. We always missed our own place on the lake. In 2013 we purchased this cottage and remodeled it. We chose a few weeks to enjoy it ourselves and are renting it so others can enjoy it.
Jane Day purchased this cottage in 2013
Great fishing, swimming & boating to three connecting lakes.
Beautiful views from front porch. Great swimming & fishing.
We had a great stay at the Water's Edge and did not want to leave. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the call of loons on the lake. The house had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing each day. The fall colors were fantastic, and the lake was very peaceful. The fishing is very good and I caught my first ever smallmouth bass along with several nice largemouths. I would definitely stay here again!
My family has been vacationing on Caribou for decades at our family's one room cabin and this year we were looking for someplace that our family and friends could all stay together.
This place is heaven on earth. The beautifully furnished and well maintained camp was perfect. There was plenty of room for 3 families.
There were 3 bedrooms, a large living/dining/kitchen space, beautiful sitting room, huge bathroom, and 2 beautiful decks, in addition to. Beautiful yard and private beach.
There is a canoe, kayak, and fire pit for hours of family fun. It was a worry free vacation with all the amenities needed for a great vacation.
We will definitely stay here again. Loved every minute.
Our family of five stayed at this very comfortable camp/house. There were amazing views and the beach was perfect. Lots of areas to ride to from camp on our four wheelers. We had a great time and didn't want to leave.
I have been raving about this cottage to anyone that will listen. The pictures do not do it justice. It is beautifully decorated, very homey and very clean. It truly felt like a home away from home. It has a beautiful deck and fire pit area plus it has a small sandy beach within steps of the deck. My family and I enjoyed spending time in the water (swimming, canoeing, kayaking or just chasing the fish around), hanging out on the deck or near the fire pit or relaxing in the house. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone and plan on renting it again soon.
If you are looking for a pretty spot with lots of solitude, then this is the cottage for you. A great place to swim or paddle, plus be entertained by loon calls in the evening. The cottage is very attractive and comfortable, with plenty of room to spread out and relax.
Baxter State Park and Mt. Katahdin are just 55 miles from the cottage. The area includes whitewater rafting, hiking, climbing the mountain, canoeing, fishing, dining and flying. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are just 100 miles. This area has plenty of shopping, dining, ocean walk, whale watching
hiking, deep sea fishing. And more....
