These two bedrooms can share the second full bath across the hall and/or use the third half bath, just off the kitchen.
The front patio, is a quiet space, with banco walls for privacy. The viga columns, trim and wood ceiling give it a warm feeling and the sky light over the bench, makes it a great spot to read the morning paper or enjoy a moment of solitude.
The back veranda (70'x 8') expands the square footage of the living space and over-looks the professionally landscaped spacious back yard and beyond: over the four foot wall and out the back gate, into the open space of the Rio Grande Bosque trails and the unobstructed view of the Sandia mountains. Debi and Randy moved to Rio Rancho and Jemez Springs after living in Colorado for 30 years, where Randy flew helicopters for the Army National Guard and worked in the airline business and Debi taught in the field of mind/body health. They moved to explore the beauty of New Mexico and to be close to family. They love their Rio Rancho home, taking walks on the Bosque trails and sharing this space with family and friends. They never get tired of the ever changing view of the Sandia mountains or the quiet and the wide open space that surrounds them. They feel like this special home is meant to be enjoyed by many! They have a little cabin just an hour away in the Jemez mountains where they spend most of their time and enjoy occasional visits from their VRBO guests. Randy enjoys fishing and riding his motorcycle through the New Mexico mountains and Debi loves teaching yoga and energy medicine. They both enjoy hiking and biking and going on camping trips.

To quote our real estate agent: "This place has a million dollar view!" Bosque Retreat is conveniently located for easy access to Albuquerque, the Jemez mountains, Santa Fe, Albuquerque Old Town and the Sandia's.
Although we are in a neighborhood, the lots are spacious, there are no street lights to dim the star gazing at night and there is a quiet peacefulness here. There are many beautiful homes in New Mexico but we have not found one yet that we would trade ours for! We love everything about the inside and outside of our Bosque Retreat home and look forward to sharing it with you!
Debi and Randy,
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us! It is so very warm and homey. It was so fun to discover all your cute decorations in every corner! Being our first trip to NM, it was a very special trip. We loved it so much - we will surely be back. So sorry it had to end.
Thank you again and P.S.
The brownies were great!
I can't say enough good things about this wonderful home in Rio Rancho. We didn't get to meet Randy, but saw Debi, who was the best host ever. The home was comfortable, immaculate, and had an incredible view. It has so many personal touches in each room, and I kept discovering something fun and wonderful in each one. Plus, you will have everything you need for a stay here. We had the best sleeping ever, and the neighborhood is so quiet. Waking up to see that Sandia view every day made me so happy! We highly recommend this home.
We stayed at the Starry Skies location for 10 days and absolutely loved every minute of it. Debi's and Randy's home has everything you will need, all the comforts of home (++) and is in impeccable condition. Both Debi and Randy have gone out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable during our stay. The house location is ideal...close to Albuquerque and Santa Fe with the backyard facing the Sandia mountains and steps away from the Rio Grande Bosque Trail leading to Corrales. A great location for daily walks and bike rides. We stayed at the home with another couple and there was ample space for everyone without the feeling of being ever crowded. Beds felt very comfortable after a long day exploring. Highlights were watching the sun come up over the Sandia Mountains with a coffee in hand as well as sunsets with the mountains slowly turning to red. We would go back without hesitation. A super stay.
We were extremely pleased with our trip to New Mexico. Debi and Randy made us feel so welcome. Debi was wonderful with communicating and we knew she was always a phone call or text away. The house was absolutely immaculate and everything was above and beyond what we expected. The house was perfectly located to make day trips, and we loved the information book that she left for us (we used it extensively). Thank you Debi and Randy for your hospitality, and for sharing your beautiful home with our family.
Location: A great home base for our day trips! Located in a suburban area, it was convenient to interstate, grocery stores, pharmacy, etc.
Amenities: Beautifully decorated , comfortable bedding, well appointed kitchen for nights when you feel like cooking. Washer/dryer allowed us to pack light! Only 1 shower taker at a time because of pressure/temperature but our family of 4 just practiced being patient:-). Loved the open floorplan and the patio. The view from this home was stunning. The hosts were gracious.
Adventure: Sandia Tram, Tent Rocks National Monument (our favorite), Tinkertown, Jemez Scenic Byway=beautiful sights and fun times for our family over spring break!
We had a wonderful 6 week visit to New Mexico and the Bosque Retreat. Thank you, Randy and Debi, for accommodating us at the last minute. The view from the house and the easy access to multiple interesting trails were awesome. New Mexico has so much to offer and the house is perfectly located for exploring this gorgeous state. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness. And if your paths ever take you to Northeast Wisconsin, stop by!
Usually by the end of a vacation, we are looking forward to the comforts of home. This trip, we feel like we ARE home (only with a better art collection). It will be hard to leave. You have likely, already, read the wonderful things about Debi & Randy, all of them accurate! Both are people you would hang with if you lived in ABQ, and we will think of them long after we have left. Much thanks to them for sharing their lovely home!

Hiking and biking on the Bosque river trails are right out the back gate! You can ride North to Bernalillo and South to Corrales and Albuquerque along the Rio Grande river, right from the house! There are beautiful views and some areas are shaded. Its only a 5 minute walk to the Rio Grande River!
The Balloon Fiesta is the largest hot air balloon gathering in the world. Every year, we have outstanding balloon watching right out the front and back door. We have had many land in front and behind our home. It is beautiful to watch the balloons with the Sandia mountains and the colorful fall Bosque trees as the back drop.
Walking and bike riding along the Bosque trails is one of the most special places to walk and ride you will ever experience.
Nothing beats New Mexico's cuisine with our home grown green chile and numerous authentic Mexican restaurants. The many locally owned coffee shops make for the perfect start to your day of shopping and visiting the many art galleries, wineries and museums. And for you "Breaking Bad" and" Better Call Saul" fans, you can purchase a tour or google the filming locations all on your own!
We are centrally located for easy side trips to Santa Fe, the beautiful Jemez mountains and hot springs, to the famous artsy town of Madrid from "Wild Hogs" and to the Sandia mountains and Old Town Albuquerque.
